Just little info about the rom
This rom is verry much the same as my last upload
I've upgrated the build to CE OS 5.2.21109(build21109) much more responsive and stable
There are 2 Camera albums in the rom Why?
The default album is the one from Jade and works as it should
the second is from Blacksatone and the folder preview (with all pictures is a bit messed but single picture preview is perfect but only portrate) but this one has the option to upload pictures to Facebook and video to Youtube. I'm shure there will be a fix for this soon
I've called the Blackstone version Album Uploader. I've uploaded 2 pictures to my facebook so I know it works

I've also fixed the battery indicator

This ROM can be dumped and recooked. Unlike many of the cooks, no RGU have been deleted. No DSM has been deleted. And most of all, the ROM has not been crippled against dumping by deleting IMGFS signatures. So feel free to dump and modify upto your taste. And share the knowledge with the community. We can improve more by sharing the knowledge than keeping it secret.

Ha, I was just about to flash your II version, when I saw the thread.

Gullum, I have radio 1.65.xx installed, HardSPL 1.22, as well as Orange WM6.0 ROM, do I need anything else to install before proceeding? The phone is Sim and Cid unlocked as well btw.

OK, flashed it with out any problems (btw. it's my first ROM other than the default one on Niki).

You can update your 1st post about the memory. After soft reseting the phone, it shows:

Well, I will do some more testing today and tomorrow and report back if I find anything suspicious :)

It means that the nice looking black and white phone skin that is included doesnt support making video calls. afaik you can disable the skin if you need video calling.

I must say the last beta version, i used for the longest I used any ROM on any PDA, only issue was the BT Car connection would sometimes remain on.

This ROM, seems a little less responsive so far, but everything else is fine.

I flashed this great rom on my nike, but as the previous version i have problmes with opal keypad, the compact qwerty and the full qwerty works good, but when i try to use the software keypad i don't see any key, only a "noise", it seems like the keypad skin is broken, if i push random on the "noisy" part of the display i can see some magnify of the keys, but it don't works at all.

Hey man nice rom I have installed it on my htc touch dual and it works like a charm but i got one problem which is the main problem now.When im charging it doesnt show that its charging it always say the battery is full but the battery wont so if u have a fix for this please help

I have the same problem, did anyone over come it? I'll go a looking, check back if I've found something! *searches forum for a fix*

EDIT: reading through the forum I decided to download the Ezinput pack again with the English language pack. I went into the Task Manager on the phone and terminated SIPGT_app.exe as I remember from another post that you have to do this before you can re-install. Then I installed EzInput over the existing one, then the language pack and finally I soft-reset. All fine now!

On a separate note, this ROM does not have the LONG KEYPRESS option in the settings menu. I am a fond user of the hold down Red/Hang Up to lock the phone/screen. I have tried to look for the .exe but cannot find it. Can someone point me in the right direction?

I'm very interested in trying this ROM since it has TouchFlo 2D built on but I do have some major concerns (I've yet to try any custom ROM's)

First I would like to thank Gullum for making these efforts and making the Setup look very easy to handle (but again I've never tried a custom ROM)

Second thing is how much of a performance difference is this ROM compared to the stock one? **i'm using WM 6.1 Pro and this Dual is the US version**

Third would be if this doesn't work out, how do I get a hold of the original stock ROM?

The rom's pretty good and quick even by 6.1 standard!

As for installing the custom, this was also my first one.

just take you time and make sure you follow ALL the instructions. It may take a bit of reading if everything doesn't go according to plan. But that the key READ the posts, dont just posts expecting answer. Take a bit of time and look through things. Here are a few links to get you started!

As for the US ROM, someone else would have to answer you, I've had a brief look but cant find one. I'm unsure if it would still use the same World Wide English that everyone else uses!

this is a great rom, but I fail to send files to my nike over bluetooth (both from my ubuntu and XP machine).
Some research on the internet taught me that I should go to settings, connections and then beam. But there is no Beam there. I tied to enable obex server in advanced settings, but it still does not work. Any pointers?

Check the registry at "HKLM\Software\Microsoft\OBEX". You will find "IsEnabled" there. In pre-WM6.1 OS, "IsEnabled" is used to enable or disable the "Receive incoming beam" feature. But in WM6.1, "IsEnabled" is used to enable OBEX. If this is set to 0, OBEX service will shut down. You can't restart it unless you reset it to 1 and soft reset. WM6.1 uses "ObexServiceMask" to enable "Receive incoming beam". In our case, 3 for enable and 2 for disable.

I'm making one final rom for Nike before I give my girlfriend back her Nike it will be in danish on that rom I will put back the original Dialer with a Opal/diamond looking skin and it should suport videodialing.

So if everything works as it should I'll upload a WWE of that same rom.

I am currently using this version, upgraded over Mary's, and I'm loving every minute of it. Cleared a lot of bugs which I encountered in Mary rom.

Anyway, I noticed that there is no smooth scrolling between the tabs on the bottom curtain. Is it done on purpose to save resources, or is my phone faulty?

Next question: Bootscreen. Flashing the ROM only changed "half" of the bootscreen (the upper part). Buttom part (the area where basic infos like ROM and radio-version are listed) is still my basic o2-screen.
Any way to fix this?

Further problems:
1) tapping the globe doesnt open Opera or anything else. Setting Opera as defailt-browser in m2dC didnt solve this.
2) opera seems a little slow?! When i pulled/pushed a page it used to keept scrolling for a little longer than it does in your ROM. Tried this with your pre-installed HTC-OperaMobile and with the stock version from the opera page - no difference. Touchflows fault...
3) Using my original shiped o2 rom i used to have 101,xx MB of RAM. No it's only 85,xx MB. Where has the difference gone?

i installed this ROM and it looks quite great!

I have a HTC Touch Dual with 20 keys.

Everything works, but when i press the "ALT" key left, at the bottom and after that a number or a . or a , for example, it does not type this.

I have to press 2 - 3 seconds till it types the number i want. That's too slow for me, i used the ALT Button very often when i had the older ROM.

How can i get this function back?

I think it is one of the best ROMs really. After using it for about a month now I just experience some of these bugs, can you tell me if they are related to this ROM or do I lack something else?

Installed:

1.) Sometimes Video wont play, I just get a blank screen, this happens randomly, I need to reset phone to get it to work again.

2.) After setting to vibrate or silent mode and then back to normal sound mode, I don't get any sound anymore. When I test playing audio or ringtone no sound comes out.

3.) Sometimes, very seldom, I loose touch screen control after recovering from standby. I can press the power button and it goes back to standby, but when I press again to turn on screen, it just stays in lock mode.

4.) When I swipe up moltion on the screen (normally to call the cube before) it just gives me grayed area which times it recover from, have to put in standby mode then on again to get rid of it.

Very few problems really but they all need a restart :-(

Have experienced these problems? Will this new version solve these problems? :-)

Hi, took me a few hours but learned how to upgrade my Nike Radio to the latest I could find on the forum (1.71.09). Now the sound and camera work great! Only issue I have with this Rom is that by typing on the keypad (in an attempt to type in a number) only results in a t9 message being typed in a bar at the bottom of the screen (how it would work if I was writing a txt message but this time it's happening on the home screen). To get around this I have to click the green hard button on my phone to open the phone application and then type in the number.

It's a *very* small issue/bug but i'm so used to being able to type in a number at the home screen that I'ld love to still be able to do it!

... again, this is still the best ROM i've ever used (and i've been through loads last year).

I use Opera Mini in the ROM to access Facebook, though when I do i'm automatically signed into a random Facebook account (for far it's been random people from America). Facebook doesn't ask me for a username/password and i'm able to change anything on the account as if it was my own without the need for a password. I don't change anything though (i'm a nice guy :) ).

It only logs me into other peoples facebook from time to time and this is the wierdest bug i've ever seen!

Anyone else get anything like this or even believe me!?

I saw that the list of inclusions had remote desktop - I can't seem to find it and if I try to install it it fails. The logmein software also fails.

Any idea why?

Lastly when I slide open the dual I can't just start punching in the phone number and I am not presented with the list of items - like new email, new SMS, etc...is this intentional or am I doing something wrong?

First of all Gullum, excellent work again. I'm using this rom for more than a month now and still enjoying it everyday. Once it booted it is fast and stable and it comes with a lot of software. Too bad you'll be only releasing one other for the nike after this one.

About the bug acecooper describes I tried it and I also get into someone elses facebook account logged in already (gullum I will give you the name if you want). So acecooper you're not alone ;) I logged out of the account now and when I restart opera mini it gives me the login page for facebook now.

as a total newbie (never done ROM flashing) I would have a few questions:
-Will it work on my T-Mobile branded Nike? Windows: CE OS 5.2.1622 (Build 18128.0.4.4); ROM version: 1.35.116.12; Radio version: 1.58.21.24
-If it won't work on my device what should I do?
-Will BlackBerry Connect work on this ROM? (I currently use this to access corporate emails)
-What should I do to flash the rom? (What are the pre-requisits before running EXE file in the archive?)

the only thing is that my battery won't survive one day :(

I'm using RUU Nike Radio 1.71.09.01K so that shouldn't be the problem or is it normal that my phone runs this quick out of energy with this rom?

Try using radio 1.65.29.22. Under normal usage, with Gullum's Rom and this Radio, the battery lasts for up to almost 3 days.

So far I have solved all my other issues when I flashed to this ROM but I am having Camera issues, after recording, when I play the video, I get audio only but no video. But if I restart my phone, video becomes ok, then randomly comes back again. Is this because of my Radio? 1.7 version.

Guys do any of you have problems with playing video you recorded from the Camera? I just get a blank screen. But on videos I have stored on my phone from the PC, they play ok.

Funny thing is, the same video that gives me blank black screen plays well when sent Via MMS.
