Is it different from this build (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=467852&highlight=opera)?
Since it works on the Vogue, it is probably QVGA.
jmitr
18th January 2009, 08:15 PM
Yes, it's different from that build.
This is qvga, optimized for the Vogue.
I've tested every Opera build on XDA, this is the fastest one I have tested.
NFSFAN tweaked this version. Besides the speed i like the fact that some settings, such as max tabs are hard coded. I know how to change this using opera:cofig, but it seemed i would have to redo my settings every time after a soft reset, This version remembers the settings. Plus, did I mention the speed?
All in all, i'm very impressed with this build/tweak. That's why I asked NFSFAN if i could repost it here.

Works great. I like it more than the latest Omnia build. The Omnia build keeps fullscreen popping on and off. Quite annoying.
Thanks. :)

is there any way to change the scroll velocity.. scrolling is SOO much slower than in the omnia build?
and significantly jerkier... ive messed with the scrollfps in registry .. no go..

Flash doesn't work on it. It is physically removed from the executable. There is an older build that does work with flash, but its slow, and flash content slows down the entire app. I'll make a VGA version soon.

is there any way to make the scrolling velocity higher? (speed up scrolling so it takes less time to scroll through a long article etc)
problem! (dont know if you have control over it):
..text entry is much faster (instant).. but the screen doesnt move with you as you type offscreen.
(..cant wait till text entry is this fast and all features from build 15233 are implemented in same build :D)

thank you!! the annoying problem with the last build is gone.
I'm using the qvga skin, but waiting on the VGA, the same color as this qvga would be nice, but change the progress bar to hot red. I think that would look real nice. :D.

NFSFAN, your build seems to suffer from the Opera bug where the default keyboard is changed to the general Microsoft keyboard. I really like what you have done, but am not willing to give up Touchpal. Do you have any idea how this issue can be resolved? Thanks for your help!

Those of you who are not having problems with Touchpal while using this Opera build, do you also have Quickmenu installed on your phone? I'm starting to think that program might be causing the conflict.

no I don't have quickmenu installed. I also have shapewriter installed.
about this build release: I had 2 tabs open and was slapped with an out of memory pop-up. I've never seen this happened that quick before. maybe I had a lot of background things going, but I haven't seen it since. the most tabs I opened after that is just 4, and I haven't seen the pop-up.

You may think that it installs onto the storage card nad it lets you choose \storage card for installation, but it really installs itself in \windows\opera9 on your main storage.... back to 15202......

it runs on any device that runs windows mobile pro, and the fuze is a windows mobile pro device so yeah it should run on it with no problem.
try it out if it doesn't work uninstall it.
I don't remember if the fuze is VGA or qvga, the cab in first post is qvga, if you need VGA skin I can upload for you.
this is VGA skin, put it in "Windows\opera9\skin"
don't unzip the skin file just put it in there same way
also my VGA .ini file
change from "opera.txt" to "opera.ini" and place in "windows\opera9"
I don't know if you know all this already but I just think it's best go put it out there to save a search and a question.

NOPE!!! I tried uninstalling via remove programs section and it said it was not completely removed. I also tried deleting it using total commander and deleting the "opera9" folder, but it didnt completely remove everything. There is also the exec program in the windows folder as well but it did not allow me to remove it! I dont know what else to do!

I am not sure why someone should put out a version that does not do flash as the last version 15233 DOES do Flash just fine.
Also this version tries to load again even though its still in memory, getting it confused.
The only problem in 15233 is that it chops off the left column a bit - does anyone have a fix for this?

Hi!
love the speed of this new build, but ran into a problem when using the (physical) keyboard on my iPAQ 914c. Basically when I click a field for text entry I'm forced to use the onscreen keyboard, as whenever I start typing with the physical keyboard the field seems to lose focus after a few seconds.
Same problem with the URL/search bar, in that when I click on it and start typing, it vanishes after some two seconds.
Apart from this bug, the build seems stable and never crashed once.
Cheers,
Matt

Thanks for this Build, but it isn't that good like i thougt. It crashes always after browsing some pages. It always give me a notice, that my memory is low. Before i Start Opera my memory contains 15Mb of free memory, so why the hell it closes then.
And the installation of Opera at Storage Card doesn't work. It always installs the package in Application Data folder.

I know how to change this using opera:cofig, but it seemed i would have to redo my settings every time after a soft reset, This version remembers the settings.
I use the opera:config that you have mentioned,
and mine seems to remember it just fine.
I'm using the version that's in my faq.
I believe the version in my faq is able to be installed to storage card.
Not 100% sure if the application data is saved to storage card or not though.
I use to use the storage card for everything,
But now I personally only use storage card for documents and backups.
