Hello,

I got 1 iPAQ RZ1710 but it's german and i dont know german! Can anyone tell me any way to change language to english?
It has rom with version 1.00.06 GER

Hello,

iPAQ Update Utility checks the language of your iPAQ against
language of the rom image and if they do not match, it refuses
to continue.
How to install on a non-English device:

1. Identify the language of your device. The iPAQ uses one of these
three-letter codes for language:
ENG
GER
FRA
SPA
PTB
ITA
KOR
JPN
CHS
CHT
2. You will need to edit these two files using a hex-editor.
> iPAQPCSDK.dll
Go to address C644 and change ENG to one of codes above.
> RUUClientDriver.dll
Go to address E0FC and change ENG to one of codes above.
3. Run hpRUU.exe and hopefully the rom installation will now
proceed.
