Anyone know if WM6.5 will work on Magician? (and yes, I have already read all the posts on Magician cannot do WM5/6, but just hoping this one will).

You know, it probably could, if someone came up with the right drivers and source bits and pieces to put it together. But I don't imagine it's high on anyone's list these days.

A shame, the Magician is still my favourite phone.

But you never know - the BlueAngel is well past its sell by date, and yet it's still the model that opened doors to most of the new roms. There might still be life left in my beloved.
