icons for sk shortcut manager

Hi all,

I have been trying for a while to find some dll's with icons
for sk shortcut manager but I did not find nowhere.
I decided to make my own! thanks to bluemetalaxe for the icons.
Just unzip it and copy files to mobile. then find this dll's
with sk shortcut manager and change the shortcut icons.

Great icons,

I use SK shortcut manager often

Also i've found DLL file with many (400) old school icons thanks to google(attached with this post).

p.s. U can use also your windows DLL files (copy shell32.dll from c:\windows to your PDA).

I was also struggling a lot to assign Icons to shortcuts in SK Manager

Ultimately I Found the Solution

" you can find all the icons inside these files

phone memory/windows/ shellres.dll , shellres.96.dll " :D

Did anyone succeeded in changing the icons for Internet Explorer, Calculator, Notes, ActiveSyn and File Explorer?

No mater what i try i just cant seems to change the icon for the above mentioned although under SK he icons are changed.

Can someone pls enlighten me where i went wrong?

Are these icons also available in VGA? For QVGA these are great but I think a lot of users are now using VGA devices so for us, these icons won't work for us.

Can sk shortcut manager change the icons of spb ms3 launcher?

Is there a way to get bigger icons?
I tried to enlarge them with psp and replace them with reshack.
That doesnt work. The icons stay small.

In MS3 bigger icons would look better to me.

Maybe that is a setting MS3?

Can anybody explain to me how I can change the Icons on my Omnia using the SK Shortcut Manager and the dlls from the first post?
How can I assign them to a certain icon or is this just automatically assigned by choosing the dll file in SK Shortcut Manager?

I've opened one of the .dll in the first post, with Reshack, and replaced the original icons with custom icons, just dragging them over the original, and then i saved the new .dll.

how come any shadows with transparency around the icons show up as just black in SK Shortcut Manager and when you set them as the icon?? .. it's very frustrating because it makes them look like crap...

Hi all,

I'm a new SKSM user and want to change one of my shortcuts icon. But I can't manage to browse thru my PDA's file directories to select a new icon !??
Using SKSM 1.1.3 (see attached screen shots) :
1) I select the shortcut I want to modify, then activate "Change icon" menu choice -> The PDA screen displays picture 1.
2) I tap the "..." button -> The PDA screen displays picture 2
3) At this point, I can navigate through none of the folders...

Am I going nut ? Any idea ?

you must choose a folder in your second picture where there is the picture you want to put for your shorcut :) and it will work :) so just continue

The point is I cannot open the folders shown on picture2, neither by taping on it (it should likely operate this way, since I've got touchscreen), nor by selecting it and by trying to open it using the available menus...(see picture 3 attached)...:confused:
...When I try to entrer the name of a folder thru the keyboard (let say SDMMC), the screen looks like picture4 : the content of the folder is not shown (??)

Well, after many tries, I've got it, so I reply myself : sub folders can be entered by quick-tapping twice on the folder's name on the touch screen.
This is an unusual & odd way for doing so :confused:
Moreover, it seems that only dll icons files can be used (neither .png nor .ico).
Thus I consider this post as closed (thanks to brunoisa10 for trying to help).
