View Full Version : Not enough memory to sync my contacts in WM 6.1 after changing my Blue Angel for Jade

Hi, I have been happy with my T-Mobile Blue Angel MDA3 for some years. Now the battery is dead, time for a change.
Got the Jade but when syncing it runs out of memory. I do have a lot of contacts (4500) but the old Blue Angel had never any problems - how can it be that the new slick Jade can't do what the old machine does without complaining?

are you syncing using WMDC or activesync?

I am using Activesync.

Strange, I witnessed activesync syncing 2800 with no problems at all, which is the same as 4500.

Can you check how much memory you have while syncing?

Data Memory, total: 98.8 MB, free: 2.92
Program memory, total: 123.29, free 64.88

Hi, thanks for the tip! All contacts synced with 57 MB still free. I am now adding the calendar.

check which info drops your device's memory and we'll go from there

Ok, I synced category by category and it all went through with 35 MB still free! Thank you so much for your good idea! Is this standard behaviour or is there something strange happening?

Actually, having 4500 contacts isn't standard :)
so i can't really tell you what the problem is.
I'm not exactly sure how the synchronization process works... as long as it works, everything is alright.
