ROM for Australian Virgin

My QuickGPS started getting the "Connection failed. Please try again later" problem. A quick google showed a few fixes, but I thought that instead of doing that, I will upgrade my ROM from the original WM6.0 to WM6.1

As I am a noob at this, can someone tell me which ROMs/Radios I can use that has good GPS? I am with Virgin/Optus.

Hi, ROM is a personal choice read about the various offerings in the thread list.

Radios are covered at the "sticky" thread in the thread list.
