i uploading beta 2.. i have new htc home but when including wehn goes home lunch the device freeze :(

6.5 is very very similar with 6.1 the only deferense you can sliding the menu with the finger.. and is faster..

Installed and it is running well.

Noticed that the Phone Dialer does not have any images on it so it is white.

Also disabling touchflo (shaps advanced config worked for me for a temp fix) lets the new scrolling method work. though its really not that smooth...

Edit: works smoother with a stylus or fingernail.

Edit2: M2D Works well with it, but tried to enable touchflo scrolling again.

Fast ROM!

I can use the Opal dialer for the phonepad but I still get a white screen when the phone is asking for my pin. I can kinda wing it but it's risky with my PIN. Anyone know how to replace that screen with something usable?

All other apps are working fine too but so far, don't find much difference in performance.

I couldn't able to gauge any difference[not even minor one]
I wonder what microsoft has done to make it 6.5?
This one seems more to me a chinese gimmick rather than a true microsoft update.
I was excited to see some of the videos on net but this one has made me really disappointed. I give it 4/10. :(

This work and this is on Blue Angel is the same..
so All this work is not official WM6.5 is combo off 6.1 and 6.5 but is the latest update on device world..
the videos off BA show the new HTC HOME this black list with photo voicemail ...

Another feedback. It can sync with Exchange 2007 fine but when I tried to do a 'Manage Folder', messenging will stop running.

I also noticed that the bluetooth applet looks different now.

hey bob that blueangel video was showing some nice touchflo features, like the one we use to have in IPHONE. But this is not there in this version. I am sure this one will be there in the original upcoming release..

Works fine,

Installed "HTC Kaiser Dialer with Video call" dialer (After switching to airplain mode). Soft reset and it works.

Dialer from AthineOS (post 2 addon cabs (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=3160137&postcount=2)

but when i wanted to restore my messages (sms) with PIM backup it couldn't. Error, SMS account doesnt exist.
When I look into Messaging i only see "Setup E-mail".
So i miss SMS & MMS, anyway to creat this or should i wait till it's developed more?

NEVER MIND, searched & searched... It was probaly a bad flash. After Hard-reset everything works (i see SMS/MMS again).

but, when using the program device lock, it locks my mobile and can't unlock it anymore, even with a softreset, it stays in the lock position and the boot screen stays on.

edit: it's the complete device lock. when setting the device lock in the today screen and you tap it, the complete system will lock, and can't be unlocked

WM6.5 porting is extensively discussed in Raphael's forum, here ...http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=474406. At least I can confirm that volume control and locking screen are issues before working out the new nice glassy UI.

Chef, QuickGPS is not working on this BETA3, as well as BETA2. I'll keep on this ROM to see it working around my days ...:)

well i set up my AOL acct. and when i try and send/receive it doesn't want to connect to t-mobile data. so usually i go into the settings and select how the email connects to the internet and im not able to find "AOL" to modify any settings.

can't send sms either. can't change my ringtone, the sound & notification manu is empty. the rom is very fast. i'm using m2d touchflo with no problems (the weather tab doesn't work for me). igo8 run smooth, in-call sound is fair. may have a bluetooth pairing isues. phone pad, pie, opera 9, email, camera, keypad and contacts. all work well. keep up the good job.

I cant receive calls (though outgoing works) and I cant send or receive sms. Found that out the hard way when someone kept texting and calling, yet I got nothing... oops :rolleyes:

Note:: don't take the calling part too seriously unless you hear it from someone else. There is a 'service outage' in my area right now. :S

yeah I tried installing the home cab too from the first page, everything went ok but when I soft resetted the phone, i couldnt use it. Noticed a few others having same problem as well as cant send sms. But the whole rom is extremely reponsive and smooth. THe scrolling is almost as smooth as the iphones. Cant wait for everything to be worked out.

Beta 3 Issues:

* SMS Center # all effed up. Can't send or receive SMS
* Notifications are...invisible :) Nothing shows in the drop-down list
* PIE8 cab, when installed, kills the IE icon and launches nothing (haven't tried the direct route yet)
* Search messaging on Exchange server is borked
* Manage folders on email/Exchange is borked

I have flashed twice. At least the dialer is fixed, I blocked my PIN yesterday!

Aside from this, very fast ROM.

Been using it for 24 hours and awsome thing about this Rom is --Super Fast at first boot.
But installing HTC Home causes to freeze just like others.
The battery life----well from 100 percent @9am to 10 percent @3pm with 3 voice calls and 3 email. Had used 3 different Radios ..even my favorite 1.65.28.25.
Call volume was on the low side.But had no reason to soft reset(until HTC HOME).

Must say ...it is the fastest rom I ever tried.......

Will be on the look out for the update..

No the Rose runs WM6.1 nothing like WM6.5 apart from there is panels, the Rose Rom everything fits on the panels, WM6.5 has an overlap on panels from the pics i have seen have yet to get new gui to play with.

IF you don't see SMS/MMS at al at the accounts (under programs, messaging) you probaly got a bad flash.
Try to hard reset, that did the trick for me.

I noticed the same issue today. When I go to look at my email accounts under options it only shows SMS and all my mail accounts are missing.

Also when I send an SMS is says that it could not be sent.

Occasionally I cannot use the navigation button to pan between accounts.

I can however make and receive phone calls and I have received email as well.

i don't know how to port a rom from other device to kaiser.. i take the sys and xip from anryl is from your country ready for kaiser.. but you must found one from your device who know how port a rom for your device..

because some settings and numbers is deferent from device to device..

I would test some more but had to revert back to a functional ROM... I really need the SMS working along with messaging and calls.

Calls are working fine for me the killer is the SMS not sending and receiving

I also noticed that when recovering my email accounts from a backup that they did not show up in the options like they are supposed to. The only account that did show up was the SMS/MMS account.

I was however able to send and receive email but maybe the options section has changed?!?!?

If you put up another update that fixes the SMS I will try it further as the phone was working fine...

Good job for the fastest ROM i ever seen!
But i uninstalled and now installed PDACorner WM6.5 because i've seen 4 recurrent bugs :

* cannot install Camera 6.8
* cannot see how many characters i wrote by typying an SMS
* cannot send any SMS !
* as you told, crash when trying to lock on the device

Also, i think it would be excellent and very fast by including a corrected (backlight / sleep) Manila 3D included in your ROM !!

I'm great user of your ROM, and i'm waiting for new mount of your WM6.5 version.. Cause this WM is really faster than olders! I'm now enjoying a true HTC Kaiser!

The great advantage of your ROM is that it lets 160 Mo RAM free ! Wow!

You installed the 6.5 Htc home cab didnt you? That cab doesnt work it freezes up the phone and you would know it if you read the thread.

Okay my phones LOCKED or FROZEN... I locked my phone by accident... SETTINGS was layered right about device lock... i cant get it to past he wm6.5 screen... i think its locked because the screen is dimmer... HELP!!!

so far here are my results.

hard reset once you backup your data via activesync. hope that helps you as lock doesn't have any other solution for now as bob is saying from right on.

Grab another rom of your choice..possibly one that you know works. Copy the .nbh file from the rom folder and put it on your sdcard. Make sure to rename whatever it was to KAISIMG.nbh Then go into bootloader by pressing the camera button and pushing the soft reset button with the stylus. It will reflash your phone and you should hopefully be good.

*sounds and notifications is white for everything but incomming calls. If you try to change an alarm or sms tone you can not see it still.

1) Phone Powered Off,
2) Hold Camera Button Down,
3) When holding, Plug in USB Sync Cable from PC,
4) Phone should boot into Boot Loader aka Tri Color Screen
5) Flash away

No problem, glad it worked... I believe that procedure works for any HTC device as I had a T-Mobile Dash/HTC Excalibur and read it somewhere. My room mate got a Wing and I got a Tilt and tried on both and it worked as long as you're not partially/fully bricked...

Well, instaleed on HyperDragon IV, WM6.5 home don't work....

It wont crash. It will just freeze up, send all your contacts your other contacts, and cheat on you with your girlfriend. For now anyway. :D Just wait until someone fixes it as it doesn't work on any rom as of yet.

I don't know if this is the case, but I noticed connections problems in the PDA v17 Beta ROM I'm using. If the USB sync is connected to a pc, I will not get any data connection. Emails, weather updating, etc all do not work even if WiFi is enabled. I do have Enabled Data Connections checked off in WMDC so it's not that... Are you having this problem when synced to a pc. Just a thought...

I can confirm that it does work without scrolling in PDA v17. But you cannot uninstall it once you've done the install. It just hangs until you soft reset. It is selectable under the Today menu - it's called Titanium.

Same problem here; right after the rom finished installing, my friend sent me a text message. It shows up on my today screen as being unread, I click on it and it takes me to the messages folder, but I can't read the message, send a reply or create a new message.

Does the WM6.5 Home plugin work on your final version? I have seen it work on PDA v17 but without the Touch Navigation. Did you read the first post?

DO NOT:
install the cabs for WM6.5 you crash the phone on
do not lock the mobile from lock on today screen..


I've a little 'problem' with your roms. When you receive a new sms, open it (in threaded view). The new sms message is selected, not the textbox. So when you want to reply, you first have to select the textbox. I've had this problem with several of your roms.

Is it a bug? Or a feature? Can you change this?

This is the only annoyance in your roms, love them!

Does the WM6.5 Home plugin work on your final version? I have seen it work on PDA v17 but without the Touch Navigation. Doesnt really bother me that much as I prefer Manila2D but just would be nice to try it out. Downloading now to give it a try tonight. Thanks for all the hard work its appreciated

will it be in this rom?
or its a problem with the hebrew fonts that i install or the radio (1.71.09.01)

Did you read the first post?


I've a little 'problem' with your roms. When you receive a new sms, open it (in threaded view). The new sms message is selected, not the textbox. So when you want to reply, you first have to select the textbox. I've had this problem with several of your roms.

Is it a bug? Or a feature? Can you change this?

This is the only annoyance in your roms, love them!

I have just installed the ROM and seems fantastically fast so far. 1st app I tried was IGO and that seems to work - got a lock but haven't tried further than that (version 8.0.0.49545).

I can't find SMS or connect to the web - does anyone know how to setup for O2?

Its quite easy:
1. softreset your phone while holding camerabutton. (you will see the tricolor bootloaderscreen)
2. connect usb cable
3. start flashprocedure on pc

Don't want us to extract your ROM?

I wanted to extract it so I can add all of the programs and settings that I use. That way I don't have to reinstall everything when I hard reset.. takes me like an hour to set my phone back up (or more).

Will you allow us to do this at some point?

P.S. This is a really fast ROM, I love it.

all the device frozen till i back to athine lite am afraid to download it again cuz am using my phone for browsing and downloading roms n flashing from the micro card anyway
i will try it now but will not instal htc new home till u fix

in final version the only change is working all the things well
the only problem is this new cab not working and you must don lock the screen..

This is the best rom so far , fast and stable.

as far as i've testet the the versions, no beta (from 1 to 6) was able to run the new home plugin nor is the final version.
so again
DON'T DOWNLOAD THE CABS FROM PAGE 1 AND DON'T INSTALL THE HOME PLUGIN !!!!!

allthough this is called "final", it still isn't a full windows mobile 6.5. there are some smaller bugs (don't lock your screen --> hardreset, exchange manage folders missing) and the biggest, which no one was able to track down (the new wm6.5 gui crashing your phone)

for the "changelog"
beta 1 till beta 5 or till beta 4 had an issue with gprs. some people (including me) were unable to connect using gprs.
the "internet" and "office" choice when connection via wifi were missing.

using beta 6 you were unable to send / write sms and email.

and now, in the final, everything seems to work fine. bluetooth, gprs / 3g, wifi, exchange sync, gps etc. needles to say, this rom is fast as hell. screen rotation when writing a sms takes about 1 second and less :D

i don't tried the normal HTC Home floating arround here on the forums. but this one won't work on ay 6.5 rom except the dragon v17 me thinks.

as for the sms routing. i had no problems here. i don't even know expressmail :p but remember :) there are allways some problems when using older software on newer roms ;) Can you do some tests if it works after the hardreset you did?

I have been testing your rom for several hours. And found one issue.
When me device starts using GPS, gprs connestion connects to internet. It is quite bad, because I am now roaming :(
Can anybody confirm this?

Have you looked through the last few pages... you have to turn off Assisted GPS for IGo 8 to work properly. ;)
