I've looked through the forums but I can't find an answer to my question...

Can you flash roms to your phone from Linux? All the guides I see show how to do it using Windows.

Thanks!

The safest way would be to flash from your sdcard (http://forum.xda-developers.com/search.php) as wine does not support the latest activesync well. (http://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=version&iId=8980)

You can also go for a virtual windows running on vmware for example, it wouldn't be a real "flash from linux" but it's stable enough.

However, you can sync with a pim like kontact or evolution and install cabs the way activesync does with SynCE (http://www.synce.org/moin/).

One things that can help you :

Your kaiser must be in tri-color mode (reset + camera) to flash with HTCFlasher.
This works very well
