my diamond has a mind of its own!!

ok guys not at all asking for spam/flaming or anything- just serious answers.

ok... just got back from an aussie day shin digg so obviously had a few...

anyways.. found my diamond touch sitting on the table near the pool...didnt have any water on it but im kinda guessing some knob splashed a few drops on it and wiped them off otherwise it would b fine

so the battery was dead but i turned it on.. and it just goes nuts.. it lets me put my pin codes in but after that its got a mind of its own.. it just does what it wants... turns the volume up and down...vibrates itself..starts talking..access the messages..starts talking the names in my phone book...basically it will do what it wants every couple of seconds....cant do anything at all cause it will go into its own shit every couple of seconds.

now..is this a warranty claim or is this shit happens? if for argument sakes some knob got water in my phone.. now if i claim warranty will they be able to tell that its been water damaged??

if not... what does it sound like? keypad is fucked or a new mainbored? cost $$???

any input would be appreciated.

Would'nt of thought youd be able to claim on warranty cus if it is water damage they will know (if all else fails send it off see what happens)

Why havnt u got insurance? lot of thiefs out there, insurance isnt alot for peace of mind and that would of covered water damage.

Not heard of that behaviour before so maybe someone else has heard of it ??
