I searched this site for two days but can't find any help for my situation. Here's the problem. My activesync works fine but once disconnected from my laptop it stays on. If I close it a few minutes later in will open again even though it's not connected to my pc. Any help would be appreciated. I have a tilt with NATF V5 ROM.

Well I believe there are apps you can install to kill AS. But you might consider the "Fake Server" trick.... and if nothing else this thread will let you understand that there are MANY things that can start AS even when it's not connected to your PC. (eg Push/Pull mail apps, weather and time sync apps etc)

ActiveSync is a very bad/misleading name for the service you are talking about. It is used for much more than syncing with Outlook. But why worry? If you peek at it with Task Manager you will find it uses very little/few resources. Mostly if just sets there waiting.

Well... It's not gonna harm. ActiveSync will not take more memory (should be ~300k)
