Hi,

I'm a first time user of a smart phone and need some assistance with connecting my HTC opal phone to wifi.

I have provided below, the settings which my colleagues use to connect their Nokia E-series phones. Would really appreciate if somebody can provide me a step-by-step procedure to connect my HTC opal phone to the same wifi network:

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Network status: hidden
WLAN network mode: infrastructure
WLAN security mode : 802.1x
WLAN security settings:
WPA mode: EAP
EAP plugin settings
1. EAP LEAP
[Options>configure]
User name: xxxx
Prompt for password: yes
Password: *****
2. EAP PEAP
(all others disabled)
~~~~~~~~

Thanks in advance!

Cheers.

Click on taskbar to open connection manager---->click or touch wifi to switch on-----> it will detect any wireless in range. Connect to one you want to connect to and then put any password if prompted.

even wen you add the password it might not work. it like other brands such as nokia or etc, u would have to go 2 advance settings whenever u have typed the password den manully add the ip address and then there is a chance of u using ur wifi.

i thing if ur wireless wasnt locked u wouldnt have 2 face this hassle.
