Hy all,

I have an HTC Advantage X7500 and i have this problem, the device shows R NONE when i am booting , and i don't have signal for phone.
I found this solution on hermes wiki.
The phone is unlocked and it have SPL 1.20
ROM : Athena Project Black Dual by PK 3.0 (SPL 1.2)

Problem 5: Device shows NO GSM when booting

* The radio stack is screwed, you don't get GSM signal and the phone says unknown SIM status
* Device won't start after trying to unlock it with HTC Universal Unlocker (HTC_Uni_SIM_Unlock_v1)

Here is how to fix it:
METHOD 1

1. Disable activesync on your computer by right click on activesync icon -> connection settings -> uncheck "allow USB connections".
2. Put your Hermes in bootloader mode
3. Connect device to computer using USB cable.
4. Open mtty.exe and select USB port, then connect.
5. Hit enter twice, you will see the "USB>" prompt.
6.

Type the following commands (do not copy paste!!!)

USB> password 0000000000000000
USB> set 1e 1
USB> erase a0040000 c80000
USB> erase a0cc0000 c80000
USB> erase a1940000 640000
USB> set 1e 0

7. If the password does not work, try password BsaD5SeoA
8. Reset your phone and put it back in bootloader mode
9. If your bootloader version is different than 1.04 then Flash Bootloader version 1.04 (if you can't flash the bootloader version 1.04 (for what ever reason) and you have KITL enabled Rom, then there is final solution - PB_KITL_HERMES))
10. Flash the patched radio used to simunlock the Hermes
11. Your phone should be alive again :)

Can everyone tell if that trick works on x7500? i should try this?

Sorry for my english...

I also had problems with radio and my x7500, however during my forum research I did never encounter your advice as a possible solution.

Are you sure that another radio upgrade with r1.57 or 1.58won't help?

Setting something on a different device without even knowing its effect or even worse erasing data...I wouldn't do that.

Last radio that i instaled on device is 1.58 and nothing was happening.

I had exactly this problem on my hermes/tytn. Suddenly after a reboot it showed No Gsm message and had no signal. Tried other wm5/wm6 rom, tried flashing other radio roms but no effect. When I was flashing radio even though the process was reaching to 100% and the device rebooted, same message occured.
As a final and hopeless solution I tried a SuperCID ( even though my device was already supercid half a year ago)... and this WORKED!!! don't know or how but this definitely solved my problem. I then realised that the Cid process downgraded the radio to a very old version. After that I flashed a newer radio version and my device came back as before.
Isn't there a SuperCID tool for Advantage? I don't recomend you to use the tool intended for hermes, don't mess too much with the radio rom or you will get a brick instead of ppc. As a consolation, your problem is almost 100% a software error, not a hardware malfunction (as long as you din't dropped or smasshed your device), so if you'd have the appropriate tool you should be able to fix it at home

Only supercid prog for the Athena I'm aware of is the original unlocker (thread found here (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=315831)). Tough choice, since you'd have to hard reset too...:-(

Perhaps you should try to send a pm senior member cmonex, if anyone can help you with the bootloader and mtty commands then its cmonex.
