FYI: I thought you guys might want to know :-)

AT&T is lowering their data plan (http://www.engadgetmobile.com/2009/01/22/atandt-dropping-unlimited-data-and-messaging-to-30/) to $30 for unlimited data & messaging. Unfortunately, this offer is only for regular phone (exclude PDA and smartphone).

I just called and AT&T knows the type of phone I have by reading my phone IMEI#.

Unless you can fool them by changing your IMEI # to your old broken phone (I think it might not legal).

Thats odd, I've been paying $30 for unlimited data since I got my phone last September.

I pay $30 dollars for unlimited data, but another $30 for unlimited family texts, between an iPhone , Tilt, LG Vu and Samsung Propel. With the wife and kids averaging over 8,000 texts a month, I am getting my $30 worth.
