MOD EDIT: Can you help, I flashed my GSM diamond with the CDMA hard SPL from PPCGeeks: http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=36062
i try to unlock my htc diamond using solution
FIRST AND MOST INPORTANT!!!
U guys MUST have HardSPL INSTALLED on ur phones BEFORE trying anything of this out...
I Suggest u use HArdSPL 1.40 Unsigned (Its in the RAR file)
AFTER u have installed HardSPL 1.40 Unsigned
Unrar and go to step 2 folder and run -> DiamonCustomRUU.exe
Just do what it says and update.
After the phone restart copy DiamUnlock.exe from the step3 folder on to your diamond
(Anywhere) and run it.
The DiamUnlock.exe closes itself very fast, i have sucessfully made it by first launching the
program and quickly and several times press up button and touch the screen
if you'r lucky the screen stay and you can sim-unlock your diamond!!
the problem that phone came in step 2 after 100% write , it show error 262
any solution thx

I am not sure you can.
Does it go into bootloader mode? If not, might be JTAG is your only option.

When you say 'totally dead' do you mean you get absolutely nothing when you try plugging in the usb cable ?
Logically as soon as you plug in the cable it'll power on into the tri-colour screen.
It'll do this even if you remove the battery.

Please stop spamming the forum with requests for Help and I have updated the title of this post so that it may get more attention.

JTagging can be done using QMAT, if need be.
Before that, can you put your Diamond into the Bootloader or not ??
Thanks

Serves you right for using a leaked unlocker program - :D Should have gone here (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=414835). thanks to Olipro as the leaked version was buggy.
I do hope you get this fixed though. (I would help if I could really).

I think I can help you ...
Just this shit happened to me too  ... because I did not read carefully ROM-destination, but we resolved the issue after a couple, three hours of bloody despair ...:(
Be sure before you get to work, you already have prepared a full ROM image (....nbh) for your Diamond, that is to contain radio too. If you do not have a full version, download a full version first and make sure that contains both ROM and Radio.
1. Take cover behind the phone
2. USB link cable to the computer and phone
3. Open the phone
4. Enter bootloader mode as follows:
Keep the volume down key and click with the stylus reset button (red button which is located behind the device ;)) for 3-4 seconds in the same time with the volume down key, then you can get out your stylus, and continued to keep volume down key, until the bootloades screen appears, now you can release the volume key down too.
And now, just simply launch DiamonCustomRUU.exe to start your flash, using a file manager, and is ready ... you have a new phone!:D
I hope I was helpful ...

sorry , when i push volume down with reset button nothing happen !
Firstly I hope your battery is charged, secondly your device must be connected to the PC, even if ActiveSync is not active.
Now, following closely what I wrote below ...
Must hold down both (volume down and reset) for 3-4 seconds, then release only reset button, volume button still pressed down until the tricolor bootloader window appears.

People are you reading him ? Stop telling him to do hard reset soft reset and other keys combination. He said clearly his unit is totally dead , blank no display three color screen etc. It's bricked without any sight of life. I don't think there is any option for now to repair it. As some users said before the only way is JTAG - it's an interface that allows to program bootloader straight to the processor. BUT to be able to do that you have to find JTAG points - direct exits from processor and connect to them with very thin wires. The problem is that nobody knows except the factory (they have to put bootloader somehow yes?)where those pins/points are. Even if they were known you had to be very good in solidering /electronics to do that. You have to had JTAG interface and bootloader ... so it's not that simple if you wanna know how JTAG looks in practice follow this link and you will see how to back to life bricked HP IPAQ http://www.gert-menke.de/jtag-howto/.Maybe someday someone will find the way how to unbrick Diamond. For example a year ago the was no way to resurrect bricked PSP(except chip modding) but now they did magic battery /pandora's battery that allows to program bricked device.
EDIT: Sorry , user viperbjk already found that pinouts and unbicked the phone but this method is unknown yet as it's still in tests http://forum.revskills.de/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=117&p=639#p639

why viperbjk don't give us solution to unbrick those phones ?
And why did you brick your phone?
If it was an easy solution, it would have been available by now.

UMTS/WCDMA is based upon the older GSM/TDMA based evolutionary path. WCDMA should not be confused with CDMA (2000, 1x, ev etc).

send it on guarantee for repair. They should swap the mainboard. And that's the fix...

Depends on if it left any "traces" of what you did to screw up the device. If there is like a file on there which clearly is a hacked SPL.... which failed. Then they might actually charge you to repair, since that is not covered under warranty. And if you don't pay to fix it, they will probably charge you for false RMA and quoting fees.
I haven't tried HTC Warranty yet, but i know other PDA/Phones/etc do warranty via Serial Number, therefore they might even go as far as voiding your entire warranty for flashing a new SPL/cooked ROM/Radio. Since it does say in the terms and conditions that flashing hacked versions etc voids warranty.
That is one of the reasons why.... When you want to RMA your diamond, remember to flash it back to Official SPL, Official Radio and a Official ROM.

But if has been flashed with a CDMA radio, then chances are the flash did not complete and even if HTC dumped the radio, they would probably be like wtf and give a new one.

Well, let's put it that way - when I was sending mine it was security unlocked, sim unlocked, had the original rom, but I was trying to revert to original SPL (and in a flashing frenzy flashed the CDMA one), on the internal storage I had different roms, and radios... Sooo, the guarantee was probably gone...
And they replaced the mainboard on guarantee.... I'm lucky or what
