20090226 added keyboard selection pops up in 1 second tweak (should work for all roms)

IMPORTANT - DO EXACTLY THE STEPS BELOW AND BE SURE THAT NO OTHER PROGRAM IS RUNNING...

If you face the input keyboard selection pops-up very slow (10 seconds), do the following tweak to make it pops up in 1 second,....

must use total commander (already in program) to do it...

1. go root (tap the "\" at the top right corner of Total Commander),
2. go plugin,
3. go registry,
4. go HKCR,
5. scroll down to CLSID
6. tap it and hold until you can choose the "rename"
7. rename it to CLSID2...
8. then press the enter key for only once and wait (be patient, it takes 10 seconds to load and do precisely as what I had said)
9. now the folder name should be CLSID2,
10. do the rename step again and make it back to CLSID,
11. no need reset, you can tap the little triangle next to the input icon (right bottom corner of Total Commander),
12. see the amazing difference?

sorry to say but this doesnt have m2d. Wrong files............... Your rom is faulty

1. really? double confirmed.. running smooth like silk~~~
1.1 Did you install the 2 files in "20755-11tabs-addons.zip" (please choose 11tab_mlx.rar - without chinese fonts or 11tab_ml.rar - with chinese fonts (3mb))?????

a. Flash the rom, hard-reset, ( with power supply non-stop),
b. Install the files.cab, soft-reset,
c. Install the reg.cab, soft-reset done!!!

Sorry could you be more specific of the steps

1. install the ROM
2. install the 20755-11tabs-addons.zip ???
3. install which files????

I had previously installed 7-8 tabs and then installed the 20755-11tabs-addons.zip and it worked nice without the clock displaying properly but it was nicely running 8 tabs rom with my added music tab(making it 9 tabs) and then i installed 20755-11tabs-addons.zip to make it 10 tabs(all tabs except internet) . IT was all running nicely except the clock face
so i decided to install the 11 tabs and i tried 3 times flashing rom, hard reset etc but still no M2D, so please tell the steps clearly thanks..........

1. don't go too fast,
2. flash the 11tab version,
3. install the "1d_M2D-nAC3-new.cab" if you wish to have Chinese font or
4. install the "1d_M2D-FILES-new.cab" if you wish to have nil Chinese font,
5. softreset,
6. install the "1d_M2D-REG.cab" for M2D and other registry settings,
7. softreset,
Done

PS. if you experience storage memory leaks (much ram used), please delete the "\Application Data" folder once, that may release aboutr 10MB of ram... :)
that folder will come back again, just leave it (system folder) :) :)

- Colour Theme
After hard reset, the colour theme is black (good),
but if the user selects 'default' some time later, it's impossible to get back to black (bad)

Hi Dioxda2,

I got exactly the same issue with my G3 as rasanansa. I tried both the lazytool, or put the device in bootloader then run ROMUpdateUtility_NV_G3.exe

10 TABS版本和1d SPEEDKING-LITE M2D 7 / 8 TABS版本
我都有遇到同樣的問題...

就是軟啟之後在顯示IPL, SPL 和GSM版本的qtek畫面
常常系統會當機在這時候....

我的ipl 2.15.001
spl 2.20.001
gsm 2.19

另外...可否將 QuickMenu 2.8內建呢？這個版本可以放大按鍵

Fantastic! I had successed in flashing the new ROM.

Now I need to put Chinese font back in the system, you mention copying mingliu.ac3 to windows folder. Is that all?! Do I need to update the registry as well?

2. yes, Quickmenu ok, just make certain function from the setting in it.

(if you can't see the batt icon from Quickmenu but clock, you may use some tweak software like pockettweak or advance configuration...... to set it )

Hi,

How can I change the size of the font for the today screen, windows menu and the bottom bar?

When I use the option text size found in settigns, it only change the font in today screen. I alredy try to find the definitions of the fonts in regedit but I can't find it.

because i copy the 1D_M2D-FILES.cab to pc
and change the QuickMenu files to v2.8

but when i copy the new cab file into the ext_rom,
next restart....the old cab file will come back

....

Yes, the Extended_rom was hard-coded.

Please forget about the Extended rom...

if you want to use Quick Menu with version 2.8,

Just overwrite the Quick Menu in the \1d\ folder . :)

1. Via PC,

have a look to the manual of your router, direct connect your PC to it, refer to the manual of your router, type the configure web address (normally should be 192.168.0.1)-edited 10/2 0940,

then login and do any configuration you wish.

2. Via Prophet

turn on wifi, connect to your wifi station, use IE to browse for your configuration page....

ok?

;)

then just remember the security code that you had set to your wifi station, then connect it. just input the code to the pop-up window (which asking for keys) and not neccessory to config the wpa settings from prophet..... as in my case.. :)

thanks for the time your taking, but the problem remains...the thing is that its not an "house" network but a school network so i cant turn-off anything...i had no problem to configure an IPhone...i just want to configure the settings to WPA...

thanks for the time your taking, but the problem remains...the thing is that its not an "house" network but a school network so i cant turn-off anything...i had no problem to configure an IPhone...i just want to configure the settings to WPA...

ok...

for this rom, no need to make special configuration fpr wpa or wpa2...
just turn on wifi, then input the security key, thats it !!

use PIE to browse first as it may have special notification from the network.. :)

Hi Dioxda, you mentioned that 11th tab is google maps - so does it mean after installing your ROM and installing googlemaps 3.0 , i can use M2DC to tick the maps tab and it will show the maps tab???

It means after installing the cab, and installing googlemaps 3.0 , you can see the maps tab after restart M2D, no M2DC is needed ...

1. OK, may be you should unzip the attached zip (http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=158116&stc=1&d=1234860199) and copy them to windows folder WITH TOTAL COMMANDER (a better choice), P.S. The homesetting.xml is for 11 tab version, please de-select certain tabs with M2DC before running the M2D)

2....31MB... I think that you are talking about the program memory......you did nothing wrong, with M2D launched, after awhile, system program memory may drop to ~20 MB, that will be normal ( for 10 tabs version, but the lesser the tab the higher the program memory)

( or..... may be you should try the 10 tabs version ( I did not publish the 11 tabs with unlocked extended_rom version yet ) ....

OK, played around with this ROM a little and discovered the following:

- Highlight Colour in TF2D
The highlight colour is inconsistent across tabs; some green, some blue
- Music and Map Tabs
Music Icon and Map are blue, this is inconsistent with the rest of the tabs
- CommMgr button is incorrect - long press and short press are reversed
- WPA2
WPA2 is still not working, as is the case with most other ROMs of late
- Colour Theme
After hard reset, the colour theme is black (good),
but if the user selects 'default' some time later, it's impossible to get back
to black (bad)
- Included apps
I have no problem with the included apps, but they should be auto running
nor should they be preconfigured in the app launching TF2D tab (IMO)
- TF2D Icons
I have to criticise the large icons seen during TF2D tab selection.
Overlaying TWO icons is not so nice, even though I understand the concept
of showing the next tab icon. If this could be removed, it would be better

The CommMgr button configuration is the wrong way around...

I understand that I can change the configuration, but the BUG is that the long press and short press detection is reversed.

When you short press, it will launch the app for Long press, and when you long press it will launch the app for Short press. Clearly a bug in this ROM. Strangely though, I cannot imagine for one moment that the ROM builder modified this. Very strange indeed.

WPA2 isn't even listed in the encryption options for Wifi... I'm finding it very hard to believe it's working. Are folks sure they aren't connecting with WPA rather than WPA2?... OR... perhaps it's an issue with the radio version? perhaps this is where the incompatibilities lie?

The colours issues are simply comments on consistency TF2D releases.... I've replaced with a preferred skin, but merely making comments on potential 'neatness' of the ROM build

Good release though....

Oh finally I made a mistake on the last posting... what I MEANT to say was that I thought it best NOT to have apps auto launching (just have them available)... it just makes for a cleaner build (IMO).

2. flash the 11tab version,

3. install the "1d_M2D-nAC3-new.cab" if you wish to have Chinese font or

4. install the "1d_M2D-FILES-new.cab" if you wish to have nil Chinese font,

5. softreset,

6. install the "1d_M2D-REG.cab" for M2D and other registry settings,

7. softreset,

Done

PS. if you experience storage memory leaks (much ram used), please delete the "\Application Data" folder once, that may release about 10MB of storage ram... :)

that folder will come back again, just leave it (system folder) :) :)

your 11 tab does not work for me :( i installed the rom then saw your msg about having to install the cab separately so i did and still no go.

Edit: wasn't as "lazy" friendly as your old roms but after reading the recent posts and following the instructions it worked.. thanks, great as always

Ive tried instaling 1d_ROM-11tabs with the vista RUU and it installs and boots fine but doesnt run the customisation cabs... Ive tried soft and hard resets, is there anything else i need to do? or does it have to be installed using the lazyscript?

1. there is NO UC in this rom,

2. as I had decided to spare-up the 9MB internal Extended_rom for you all to make storage or running program purposes....( use Total Commander, there is a one tap shortcut direct access to it,

3. you have to install one of the two cabs from the zip that you had downloaded.

4. your selection should be according to your needs... ( will "F" in the file name is including the 3MB Chinese font.....)

copy to your device and run ......... :)

IMPORTANT

If you face the input keyboard selection pops up very slow (10 seconds) pops up, do the following tweak to make it pops up in 1 second,....

must use total commander (already in program) to do it...

1. go root (tap the "\" at the top right corner of Total Commander),
2. go plugin,
3. go registry,
4. go HKCR,
5. scroll down to CLSID
6. tap it ahd hold until you can choose the " rename"
7. rename it to CLSID2
8. tap outside the edit box anywhere only once and wait for 10 seconds, (do precisely what I had said)
9. now the folder name should be CLSID2,
10. do the rename step again and make it back to CLSID,
11. no need reset, you can tap the little triangle next to the input icon (right bottom corner of Total Commander),
12. see the amazing difference?

Thanks for clear instructions. I did install and follow all steps. However after couple of times hard reset, etc. Just recently i found that my screen alignment goes away very often. Any suggestions? I am facing problems as i have lost my stylus and have to use my finger to use this

also i have noticed that the bioscroll faces problem in staying at one place. I mean when u put finger over any tab, keep it pressed, it doesnt stay steady but flickers too much. also on the last tab when i press it to bring it back to first tab, it is not smooth and sometimes i have to do it 3 4 times.

basically biotouch or my touchscreen has the problem.

anybody faced this or any suggestions?

If you use your head set is there any sound ?

Can't recall the thread but sometimes the earphone jack gets stuck and the phone "thinks" the earphones are still attached even when it is removed. I had the same problem, but it happened before I flashed this GREAT rom (thanx again dioxda2). Send it in for repairs and the speaker was replaced and two weeks later I had the same problem...think this stems from the JAM days, it also had a speaker problem. Ok.... I plugged and unplugged my headset a couple of times and haven't had the problem since.

I have to say that I flashed this last night and it's beautiful! Very speedy, stable and attractive. No problems regarding connection for sync, I think I like this one the most thus far! If I notice any glitches I'll let you know...

SOLVED IT!!! I found the solution by copying dll file to \windows\ from Charevian's post @ http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=3150406#post3150406. It works beautifully.

Never mind, it now works. Google Map must be installed in the Main Memory.

Is there a way to redirect the Map Search Tab to look for Google Map in Storage?

The 5 tab of your speedking series has a Prophet Tweak, but this one doesn't. Where can I download it? I've searched everywhere for it.

I need it to disable my GPRS.

2. I had install the Opera 9.5 build 2181, works fine,,,

PS. Opera 9 really ram consuming..... take good care,

you may better use netfront 3.3, opera 8.65 or PIEplus......

Hi Dioxda2 mate!
I have been looking for a keyboard/dialpad on the forum. I have found one posted by VaranusVincent (http://rapidshare.com/files/174539019/HTC_EzInput_Keyboard_Suites.rar) but it seems to be very heavy and responds very slow. Could you suggest one please? I am basically looking for:
1 - Bigger keys (suitable for finger touch ala iPhone)
2 - Option to select phone dialpad even when typying text for sms, email etc

Grateful if you would point me to one.

Don't worry, the mingliu.ac3 contains both Cht and CHs fonts ;)

Hi Dixoda2!

I have cursed over my computer with Vista as operative system for quite a while now.
I just couldn't flash my Prophet with the Vista RUU upgrade no matter what I did.

I lost my patience and otherwise good maners and went up to the attic (litteraly speaking) and dug up (litteraly speaking) my old computer with XP as operative system.

I installed everything that I needed and within one hour I lost my prophet "flashing virginity"!! :D

Everything worked like a charm.

Thanks for the good instructions in your thread!

Now I can be a flashaholic like everyone else!!

Known issue:
4.1 without infrared,

After I flash this rom, and do not install manila file attached, it means the very clean ROM but there is only about 40MB free in program but 30MB free in RAM :D

you are right, M2D files and Chinese input methods are occupying certain storage space.....

May be I should make a clean version.......

1. 1d_Lite with M2D (without Chinese input and support),

2. 1d_Lite clean without M2D ....

Thank-you for your very Stable really Fast rom.
I had been using Shadow 2.0TE Rom and just flashed 1d Lite+M2D [ROM 20755 11 TABS WM6.1] yesterday. Its wonderfully fast
No problems flashing it with Lazytool, but I can’t find the "1d_M2D-REG.cab" for M2D file after unzipped 1d_ROM-11tabs.zip file.

Need to check with you whether you have the following cab files for this ROM
1. Clear Temp
2. Registry Editor
3. Calendar with Lunar date, just like Shadow 2.0TE Rom

Thanks for clear instructions. I did install and follow all steps. However after couple of times hard reset, etc. Just recently i found that my screen alignment goes away very often. Any suggestions? I am facing problems as i have lost my stylus and have to use my finger to use this

also i have noticed that the bioscroll faces problem in staying at one place. I mean when u put finger over any tab, keep it pressed, it doesnt stay steady but flickers too much. also on the last tab when i press it to bring it back to first tab, it is not smooth and sometimes i have to do it 3 4 times.

basically biotouch or my touchscreen has the problem.

anybody faced this or any suggestions?

this is what I am using , just connect the wifi straight with your key, no need to choose the security option from wifi, as you may see nothing the the selection boxes ..........................

2. any heavy software is running @ the back ground?
3. is the device starting some service? (like internet connection, PC connection....)

no heavy apps running

no service is starting

a sms is recived, than a read it, ok, a reply it, than a recive the answer, and the sms when is opening it hangs, and i have to reboot the pda

rom is nice and stable, i havnt experienced any issues, but one thing bothers me. i have a very thin blue line runing accros the top of the screen, and no its not the battery indicator because it is half faded, it only shows up pieces here and there. it shows up after i install your manila 1d packadge.

That what..............;)

1. Left half is batt. indicater (10% / block),
2. right half is program mem. status (5MB/block).........

3. if you wanna remove it, just delete the "PWRSTAT" from startup folder...

1.goto program - Total Commander,

2. look @ the right bottom of the program, you will see "File",

3. above it, that is the search icon, then

3. please look right-ward, after the search icon, there are one-tap icons for features....." create new folder, then refresh, then properties, then startup folder, then program folder, then windows folder, then \storage card\My Documents folder, then \storage card\Program files folder, then \storage card folder .... "

ok?? ;) (pre-configured by me, and you can tap and hold any icons of the above to set to any folder or programs or document or..... you wish. :D
