upgrading alpine

first post and i know i'm probably going to get nailed but here goes

i just got a xdaIIi and was looking about and found this download and having read on here that it's not possible this guy seems to think it is
what do you guys think

The screen shot for the first one is a Himalaya CPU. No idea about the second as there is no screen shot.

Closer inspection of the screen shot shows it has been lifted from here and is one of Ather's wonderful ROMs, given the other screen shots i would guess its the Dark Diamond version. Nice Himalaya ROM but NOT for an Alpine
