First of, thanx to nuxator for the French Orange ROM
New Home screen from French Orange ROM with Settings

This has been tested with Manila version 1.1.35345.3
Orange Manila version is 1.1.35609.0

This will replace 1c684cd8_manila, which is the same file as mun_rus Background4AllPages!

http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=152606&stc=1&d=1233500006

Choose if u want Analogue, digital or no clock at all
Choose if u want Appointments to show
Move both Analog And Digital clock around on screen
Have a blank Home Screen

Install explanation

Disable TouchFlo3D
Install OrangeHomeScreen.cab
If you have other ROM language then US you have to download the Language pack and copy the the language file for your ROM

Then you have to edit your own 26948339_manila
You could download 26948339_manila.zip and copy the file to windows...
But I strongly recomend that you edit your own file!!

Insert this in the file, then enable TouchFlo3D

Amazing.. Thanks,
One question. In the photo, i think it shows 2 appointment. Is this true?
Because original it shows one.

To get the clock in Taskbar all the time, click on the clock and press 'more' (don't know what it says in English?)
There you can select 'show clock in taskbar in all programs'

And about the language... :rolleyes:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Shell]
"ShowTitleBarClock"=dword:00000001

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Shell\TaskBa r]
"LimitedClock"=dword:00000000

Had a little time to play with this and did some editing on xml file to change search engine to google mobile by changing url to this: "http://www.google.com/m?q=%s" . I also added Recent Events back in, makes for a good notifications viewer. Its also possible to add links to other apps by editing the registry under HKLM\Software\HTC\Manila\Orange. I added a link to G-Alarm. I don't know about everyone else, but for me with this installed I lost background4alltabs, with wallpaper only displayed on home tab. I fixed by removing all of the <Object>Type="Group" for "Background2D" from the 1c684cd8_manila file if anyone needs the same.

Great work..! :D

Please share the edited files....
I haven't had the time to play around with this...
but this is great... makes new possibilities for altering and making it more personal..

And I didn't know about Recent Events... where did you find that?

I seen Recent Events in the dialog additions you posted, if you look in second part of them, they have been edited out so I just added them into the first set for home.dialog. There's also CallPlan and More that could be added. I used the CallPlan for gAlarm since it already had a reg entry, but maybe its possible to add new reg entries for there own slot? Here's the two files I edited.

If you want to turn them off, I think you have to change reg setting, as I could never get them turned off either. I actually removed them from the home tab mode9 file since I don't use them. There's a reg value for Enable calendar at hklm\software\htc\manila. I didn't try it, since I had already removed them before I found that. But I know that with calendar turned off, it was showing a value of 1 when it should have been 0.

This is awesome. Works great with the HD manila on Diamond.

Can't seem to remap the home screen soft keys, though (don't need the "go to" key after I have done my initial settings). Does this change the location of the reg entries for the home screen soft keys?

Help Nisse!!!
I use Manila version 1.1.35345.3 on my diamond.
I installed OrangeHomeScreen.cab, edited my 26948339_manila and copied into the windows directory.

And Device status and Home tab settings did not work :(

By the way, "OrangeHomeManilaFiles.zip" file is lacking 590ad244_manila file, USE OrangeHomeScreen.cab to install.

will look into it when i get the time...
Have a look at the reg settings...

590ad244_manila is the US language file... So you can find it in the language pack zip :)

Few comments:

- Home Tab Settings dialog heading is not in English (I am editing the XML file).
- Can we have original diamond digital clock. It will be great.
- If we can change the analogue clock, a bigger clock will be better.
- The alarm heading shows alarm, instead of No alarms, if no alarm is defined.
- All Contact should open other contact manager instead of default one.

Could the top curtain be placed back?

EDIT: Owww my touchflow wouldn't start with this installed :(

One more thing it will great if "All Contact" soft key opens iContact or any other contact manager.

No matter what I do I can't get my calendar items to work. I can see 2 items but they just say:

Time
Subject

Any ideas? I love this home screen, but want it to work. I have installed showaco's fixed files, but no working calendar.

Any suggestions? or procedure to get back to old manilla?

All of a suddent today, it's working. Not sure why, I didn't change anything. But you can't click on the appointments to open them.

Oops, spoke too soon. Soft reset and they're back screwed up!

I had same problems, thats why I just removed them altogether. We must be missing some necessary files or registry values.

Copying this file to the Windows directory cleared up the appearance issues I was having. It is so great to have an analog clock along with my appointments on the home page. VERY PLEASE, AND GREAT EFFORTS TRANSLATING!

hi,

i've made some modifications in the 26948339_manila (something like Showaco)

Now i can acces directly to calendar (informant for me) and the new G-Profil software the new Gete soft)

to do this modifie this in the 26948339_manila:

</Navigation>

<DialogManager>
<DialogGroup Name="Dialogs">
<SimpleDialog Name="Home.dialog" PackageName="HTC">
<ComponentReference Name="dialogItem" Mode9Path="HTC\simpledialog.mode9" Component="SimpleDialog" SmartComponent="true" />
<DialogItem Name="Menu">
<DialogItem Name="Recent Events" Title="Calendrier" />
<DialogItem Name="Call Plan" Title="G-Profile" />
<DialogItem Name="Device Status" Title="[[IDS_DEVICE_STATUS]]" />
<DialogItem Name="New Message" Title="[[IDS_NEW_MESSAGE]]" />
<DialogItem Name="Camera" Title="[[IDS_CAMERA]]" />
<DialogItem Name="Search" Title="[[IDS_SEARCH]]" />
<DialogItem Name="Home Tab Settings" Title="[[IDS_HOME_TAB_SETTINGS]]" />
</DialogItem>
</SimpleDialog>
<SimpleDialog Name="HomeFrance.dialog" PackageName="HTC">
<ComponentReference Name="dialogItem" Mode9Path="HTC\simpledialog.mode9" Component="SimpleDialog" SmartComponent="true" />
<DialogItem Name="Menu">
<DialogItem Name="Recent Events" Title="Calendrier" />
<DialogItem Name="Call Plan" Title="G-Profile" />
<DialogItem Name="New Message" Title="[[IDS_NEW_MESSAGE]]" />
<DialogItem Name="Camera" Title="[[IDS_CAMERA]]" />
<DialogItem Name="Search" Title="[[IDS_SEARCH]]" />
<DialogItem Name="More" Title="[[IDS_MORE]]">
<DialogItem Name="Device Status" Title="[[IDS_DEVICE_STATUS]]" />
<DialogItem Name="Home Tab Settings" Title="[[IDS_HOME_TAB_SETTINGS]]" />
</DialogItem>
</DialogItem>
</SimpleDialog>

<SimpleDialog Name="settings.dialog" PackageName="HTC">

and modifie those reg key:

HKLM\Software\HTC\Manila\Orange\CallPlanPath -> location where is install GProfil
HKLM\Software\HTC\Manila\Orange\RecentEventPath -> location of your calendar

it shouldwork.
