Hi everybody -
Just some personal experience, in case anyone's had similar trouble.
I've been using Dutty's ROMs of various flavors on my US Diamond. I live in Boston and have ATT as my carrier. I ski in Vermont most weekends.
I recently tried one of the newer radios (1.09.25.14). It worked fine in Boston, but when I went up to Vermont / Killington, it stopped working completely. Zero bars. This is particularly odd since I was ususally one of the only people amongst my friends to have 2+ bars everywhere in Killington.
Being without a phone wasn't an option, so I fired up my laptop, logged into XDA and downloaded 100.25.05 since it seemed to be pretty widely functional. And what do you know - on reset, I was back in business with three bars!
I find it interesting that there is such variety among AT&T between its towers and the radio software they use - so when you're switching between radios, be careful, old towers may not play nice with new radio stacks!!!
Mike
