Not sure if this is the right place. I just uploaded the latest HTC ROM to the FTP server. Updating my device right now, so I do not know if its really more stable or faster. Maybe you rom-cookers can use it.

After upgrading it has 56.46MB free storage and 50.54MB free program memory.
I don't know how to find out the .NET version.

Improved Functions and Fixes
1. When you launch the Camera while the system is working on other programs, the preview screen may become black.
2. When playing a video, sometimes a portion of the video will be cut off a little bit.
3. Fixes Audio playback problem with the speaker. Specific issues: sometimes the music will turn off and on after 10 minutes, or there is a buzzing sound or no sound at all.
4. Fixes the problem of not being able to receive MMS when in standby mode.
5. When launching music via the Music tab on TouchFLO 3D, the sound may intermittently turn off for a second and come back on.

.NET is 2.0...they obviously don't care putting 3.5 in their newer builds, anyway :)

ok, i'm new in this forum and have limited knowledge about rom upgrades, i want to upgrade rom on my mda compact IV to official HTC rom, but have no idea where to start? i read this thread over and over again http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=416211 but still was unable to upgrade software on my mda compact IV, can someone help me and tell me step by step how to do it? My mda is unlocked with code provided by TMOBILE UK,

That thread you have linked to really says it all, it can't really be put in any greater detail than that. Everything you need to know is there.

Flash HardSPL (Part A), Update your radio (if you want), pick a ROM and flash it.

If you are not confident following the instructions in the thread you have linked, maybe wait a little while, re-read everything, and don't get started until you are happy. There is the potential to ruin your phone if you do it wrong. Good luck

hmm...is this rom any different from the other 2.03 roms?
also, the radio you mentioned, is it the latest one? not 1.09?

EDIT: this is a hongkong one

Hi,

I am currently running on the following official ROM:

ROM Version: 1.93.831.1 WWE
ROM date: 07/18/08
Radio version: 1.00.25.05
Protocol version: 52.29.25.12H

I have just downloaded, but yet to install!!, the latest official ROM from HTC: HKCSL WWE 2.03.831.2

Is it worth upgrading to the latest rom. Has there been any significant enhancements/fixes? Will I see an overall improvement to my device??
