mixing 2.03 and 1.93 roms

Is it possible taking SYS folder from 1.93 ROM and OEM folder from 2.03 ROM and combining them into a new ROM? Does it make my diamond a brick?

Yes you can take 1.93 sys and mix with oem 2.03, but why go back to 19965 Build when you have much newer in 2.03 rom?

I can not have the messages from network over broadcast channels with this new 2.03 ROM. Sometimes I need them.
