battery Problem , please help

hi everyone :
i have an xda o2 atom for 2 years now, and i had upgrade it to win 6.1 2 mounthes ago, and was perfect , then now i can not charge it at all , at showes the red led ,but the screen is dead, and when i leave it a whole night on charger in the morning well make as 20% full only, and then if i left it it well countdown the battery it self, 19 % , 18% ...etc untill 0% , i really can not use it .
now what should i do for this problem , i hope some one have the answer of the problem.

OK, sorry to hear that. But, a question, is it possible to buy a new battery?

it's very hard to find an o2 dealer here to find this kind of batteries, and i have 2 of them they came with the device, i treyed the both , but no change at all.

well...if you have problem failure with yur hardware such a battery, tried to use another battery, and try use your battery to another atom. you'll see it's yur battery or your atom got sick. that simple.

Guess there´s something wrong with the phone, i have an hp 6815, that´s from the same manufacturer and similar hardware and in long term i think it´s a crapy phone. My battery only last a day and it´s also new.

Try put small piece of paper on bottom part of the battery to push it up to the connector. My phone previously also drain batt very fast and the service guy at O2 do that to solve it.

it is a problem of battery u can buy a 3rd party battery from ebay it is very cheap than standard and doing works perfectly like original pls gave ur new birth ur atom

thank you for your advice people , i went and i bought more 4 batteries last few days , and i kept trying all of them , now i do have 6 batteries for my atom , and noe one of them wanetd to be charged at all ,and if they are charged it will do the same thing charging till 20% ,and then discharging 19% 18% untill 0% , and i tried with 2 diffrent chargers and also by the pc as well , all not working am really confused and dont know what to do , i think i'll crash this atom and never buy O2 again. really strange thing dont know what to do with this device

people nothing happened at all .. no charging at all none of the 6 batteries that i have is charging at all ,and if it well , just only 5 or 6 % then uncharged to 0%..i tried as well a universal charger to charge the batteries and then to log it insaid the atom, but still not working ... did i lost my atom or not yet ? i kept looking all around the internet for solutions but evrybody is telling me just go to xda-developers.com fourm ... and here i am , any solution ?

Buy your self a dock with a charger from ebay:

also seek a PDA repair expert in your area, they can change the mini usb.
OR if your phone is still under warranty(less than 1 yr old)

Im curious... could it be your charger maybe?

You could always try as the person before me said get a dock and plug your charger into that and if then after maybe an hour or two check how much it has charged and of its the same as when you charge through your phone.. its not your phone or battery, its your charger. Use the process of elimination.. it works with computers.

i have just got new battery for O2 xda atom life. from germany.
this phone sells by the name of O2 XDA Comet there.

i will let you know the update. right now charging the battery. by tomorrow night will get to know how it works.

thank you all for your supporting me ,and giving me ideas to resolv my problem, i went to a spcialiset shop that they take good care of PDA's in general , and they solve my problem , it was the usb slot insted of charging it makes discharging, i just recieved my atom and it works normal as befor, just they downgrade it to win5.0, and they told me you can upgrade it to a newer version ,but i have to find one wich is very good and not damaged the operator dos programing on the atom it self, so now that all i wanted from you to tell me wich one is the best to use it and i'll be so greatful.
