Hey I love this ROM, it took a while to config standby, but it works 100% now.

However (minor issue), my usb headphones on 8925 AT&T tilt don't function.

I am very happy with this rom. It is responsive, and doesn’t tax resources too much. Different from other Manila roms I have tried recently, POLDO does not seem to increasing hawk resources.

I also like the extra large menus, really finger friendly.

The included radio seems to drain the battery quickly and I had to change it (1.70.18.02 works great)

One annoying thing I found about this rom is that when I want to send a sms it does not automatically suggest recipient after typing a couple of letters. I am sure there is an easy work around for that.

What I missed from the rom was “soft reset”, “action screen”, a great calculator (default is kinda basic) and direct access to wifi settings.

Overall the rom is very recommendable, thanks to Poldo for joining the Kaiser community. I look forward to see future roms…

v03 has the same HTCHomeSettings.xml, i've only modded it according to view audio manager tab :)

Or if you don't want to futz around with the registry directly, advanced config will do it for you :) (Phone, then Show NITZ page). Make sure you save and let Advanced Config soft reset for you.

One or two option panels have text, but the rest of that isolated menu palette is blank. I am looking for a radio to isolate the eMo 1.17.09.01 radio to be the problem. Being on a Mac mini makes it a little tougher as I have to move things to my SD to flash. I will follow up if I have positive results. Hard SPL 3.56.

Also, this ROM doesn't appear to be UC (User Customization) compatible. Would be a rom enhancement :)

The eMo radio in my signature is doing really well on battery life so far. Again, great ROM from first usage about 6 hours in. Cheers mate, great work.

I have it that way so I can get actual weather for some smaller cities that aren't on the default XML list, and it didn't work in the past unless you used scotchua's patched Manilla 2D executable (mskip has the same thing only for the Iolite version of Manilla).

Also one other thing - noticed whenever I get a MMS message it asks if I want to switch from T-Mobile Data to T-Mobile MMS. Never did this before, was always just automatic and switched off of Data and over to MMS. Any ideas?

I tried to go to http://weather.not2advanced.com/htcweather/forecastdata.php and it just says Location code not set.

Thank you sir. Sorry for the delayed follow up. I am a Mac user and using SyncMate, I couldn't get the file transferred 'Camera.exe.0409.mui' (Syncmate won't let me copy files into the \windows directory). So I transferred the files to my storage card and copied them through total commander on the phone.

This remedied my problems. Still liking the rom thus far, and seeing good battery life with my radio.

I just installed the v03, thank you very much poldo, speed is amazing. it's a very stable rom (as the Pharos one is). But if you do an v04, is it possible for you to integrate Google Maps 2.3.0.9 and footprints.

OK, I just installed TTN7 and it works perfectly, but there are no maps available for the US! I had purchased the maps for TTN6 but they don't work with TTN7. What a bummer!

Just installed the rom, but after several restarts touchFLO stopped working - now getting blank black "today" screen saying "Tap here to launch TouchFLO". After tapping it I am getting "Launching......" for few seconds and then back to "Tap here to loaunch...".

Any ideas/suggestions?

Tried your ROM yesterday.
I like the fact that it's almost a stock HTC ROM, with all the packages versions coherent, and working fine, no redraw problems, missing menus or pages.

Things I would like changed:
- M2D in landscape. It's not perfect but it's better than nothing
- More storage space. This ROM has only 70 MB free after flash. PDA corner one has more than 100 and it comes with a lot of software preinstalled.

:eek: wow! don't get angry vcespon, it's only one of my customizations, if you don't like it just say "no thanks" :) and don't flash it.
Camera 6.8 works great even without autofocus. This ROM is based on official Iolite version, so almost all apps are extracted from this ROM (Google Maps included).
Anyway for those that prefer the camera shipped with the last official ROM i've made a cab... You will find it the first post.

Poldo, I flashed yesterday, everything runs very fast, but when I try to use the ''Navigate to'' tool with footprints, it slows down my Kaiser, and I have to reset it.

My TomTom Version is the one compatible with footprints : 7.915.9196

Am I the only one with this issue ?

Excellent rom.Very stable.
Few issues I have.
Sometimes when I call or answer phones I can not hang up/disconnect after I am done.
Also Car USB adapter does not work anymore including the dragons rom.
I got one of those car adapters where you plug an actual usb cable and it works.
Can somebody school me on the NaviPanel. I can not seam to find any information about it.

Excellent rom.Very stable.
Few issues I have.
1. Sometimes when I call or answer phones I can not hang up/disconnect after I am done.
2. Also Car USB adapter does not work anymore including the dragons rom.
I got one of those car adapters where you plug an actual usb cable and it works.
Can somebody school me on the NaviPanel. I can not seam to find any information about it.
I am looking for something better then AD2 Toggle.

Tried 3 different Tomtom7 versions. All work perfect. Ended up with the latest HTC Tomtom.

the navipanel starts automatically when you put the device in the holder. Obviously this works only with touch cruise device (i think that it has a specific sensor for this feature), so you must run it manually. The executable file is located in windows folder "Navipanel.exe". Browse with total commander and select "Make a shortcut". I've put the shortcut in "\Windows\AppButtons" and mapped the "Messages" button to "NaviPanel"
Let me know if it works with your car kit

Radio incompatability, you need to flash a compatable Radio, poldo has answered this so far aprox 3 times in 9 pages.

I changed to the 5.x camara from PDA corners rom, worked great with autofocus. I used radio 1.70.2.18 or something like that (I am trying another rom at the moment)...

1.Both.It does not happen all the time. Only 5 times since I switched to iolite roms. Not a big deal.

I installed TomTom 7 on the device, as I did for other versions. TomTom is working great when I just use it as my GPS Software, but not when I launch it through Footprints

This ROM is great. It's working very well so far with one exception. If I launch the browser from the internet tab when I press ok to close it out my phone goes to landscape mode. It's not a huge deal cause after a minute it switches back. But I guess it just kind of hangs for a minute.

Thanks for your rom. It is great. Was using G roms before, since he is gone, I started to try for another... but only your rom working with Lingvosoft Japanese Keyboard... great!.
But v3 feel quite sluggish... just finish my snowy holiday, any now downloading and looking forward for v4...

Sorry if this are newbbie questions, but i am really new at Pocket PC world

So, my questions:

I installed v04 of this rom and loved it, but i have two problems

When i want to send a sms the T9 is in english, can i install a Portugues T9?
Also on the sms, i cant get to type accents on words like this "à" "é" "ã" and so on... not even using the keyboard of kaiser.

I hope you understand my doubts and tell me how to solve this

I've the 1.71.0.01 on v04 ROM but its very very slow.

I've installed MemMaid to reclaim RAM and that reclaims RAM even after running from pro9grmas to home and back but doesn't solve the free memory reducing with time/usage. At the moment I do a soft reset occasionally to "recover" RAM.

Any ideas what this might be and to avoid having to soft reset?

To be honest and i'm sure paldo will agree that there is no need to softreset if your RAM usage is 56% hardly high, adimatbly higher than i use on ROM in sig but then i have most of M2D removed via M2DC, my point is don't worry if it.
Oh and WM is renound for leaks anyway also thats why when you do try to reclaim mem it's tiny compared to what you would expect.

I am new to the forum but have been flashing roms for a while, I have been trying to find a fast minimalistic ROM that that was was not only fast but clean and still had the most of the goodies I use, regedit, Total Commander, Task Manager etc... I have to say your Iolite v05 is exactly what I was looking for =) this is my new favorite ROM and I will stay tuned for more of your work Cheers!

OperaMini installation work fine for me on the previous Rom:

witch include original Java MIDP 2.0. Is there a chance to extract the MIDP 2.0 from the HTC original Rom and install it on your (Iolite v05) Rom ?

Apology's from me, last message was wrong. My ISP was offline for some reason and its all working fine now.

My other problem is that when i ask the fone to hide contacts from SIM in the advanced config program. It still shows the SIM contacts after restart also the m2d doesnt show up properly when in landscape, do you have any suggestions for that?

yes, the reg value "ShowSim" changes to "1" at every reboot... try this (http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=96246&d=1214738469) (NikiSimFix) install and reboot...

you can use "Advanced config" (tools folder). In phone section there is an option named "Show NITZ page", just select yes... that's all

ok, got a fix, there are 2 options:

1. to call "Servizio clienti TIM" without any tweaks just dial "+393399119"

2. if you want permanentely remove 119 from Emergency Call list, regedit:
[HOTKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE/OEM/RIL] replace 119 with 113 (2 key to modify)
[HOTKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SECURITY/eCall] replace 119 with 113 (one key to modify)
wait a couple of minutes and reboot
after that you'll be able to call "Servizio clienti TIM" dialing 119

A nice work you have done! This is so far the most reliable ROM I have used.

I noticed one issue however, not sure whether this is because of the ROM. After I paired my phone with a Bluetooth hands-free kit. Under Settings/Connections/Bluetooth, it came up with two "Car Kit" tab with exactly the same information under each.

Yeah run the advanced config program, select messaging, select threaded texting and enable. That simple...

The only way to get UsbToPc as in mass storage is to use Softick Card Export it's not free, google it :)

oops :o missed shortcut, sorry
in windows folder there is a file named USBtoPC.exe, just run it and select the type of USB connection (in your case "Disk Drive")

i have selected usb connection but when i connect to pc appear a window where i must only choose activesync or internet sharing.

EDIT: at the end to use kaiser like mas storage i must instal card export, is it right?

thank you for clarification stylez, i didn't know about this, it worked on my old MIO device and with my pharos too so I thought that it worked without problem on the kaiser... But i forgot that the "drivers are not included" with kaiser ;)

Every time I reboot the wifi power-on automatically at startup. I don't know why...

OK solved all issues...

scrolling down contact solved by new version of iContact.
Wifi start at boot time it's caused by a missconfig in G-profile
M2DC doesn't save changes solved by disable G-profile service before applying changeses.

digital clock cab is for v05 ROM (no footprints) that uses a different HTCHomeSettings.xml

I have been watching different format movies on this rom. No problems just a few dropped frames sometimes 1 sometimes 10 minutes.
What kind of miniSD card are you using? Maybe the speed of the card or you need to properly format it...

Larger cards are generally slower to read but, there are a couple of things that may be in play one is the bitrate of the movie "too high and will cause lag issues as more data having to be pulled @ once" drop the audio quality so as to save space on the recode, also maybe your card needs formatting?
Another is do you have other processes running on device or card "programs"? Is CorePlayer installed to device memory "as this will take strain off the card while running movie"?

I didn't think of the bitrate, I'll have to check that. I don't think I've formatted the card, I basically just popped it in and started using it. Also, Core is installed to the device memory. Thanks

The problem was the bitrate, I lowered the bitrate and the movie plays with no lag. Thanks again.

you need to unistall the built-in dialer before... i don't know if someone in the forum has made a cab for uninstalling phonecanvas 3.0, try to search

what radio you use?
i've tested this ROM with 1.65.24.36 and 1.70.19.09 - no issues found

Kinoma works very well with ORB and other services. It will substitute the SPB online for you.
