I'm working on my own ROM and need ten beta testers.
To reserve your spot just say you want to test and then I will send you a link for the file. beta is on a first come first serve ;)

Bugs:

Button Assigning -Fixed
.lnk files - Fixed
Video - working w/TCPMP not w/WMP
Camera - Fixed (radio issue)
Power and Backlight Settings - NOT Fixed (you can go to quickmenu then click the quickmenu folder in quickmenu then tap execute and then type \Windows\Backlight.exe then click create shortcut and put it wherever you want. You now have a backlight fix. I reccomend putting it in settings ;) )
WiFi Shortcut Not Working - Fixed (New Comm Manager)

Also a lot of the link files are scattered throughout the programs folder, although I think I can fix this one. Have no idea about the button assignment though :x Also beta is on a first come first serve ;)

Both of these issues are in the initflashfiles.dat...You can edit it with notepad and fix it.

I'd love to take a look at what you are cooking.

good job. Link organization is the last thing I do when cooking. I get all the apps in, work on the bugs and then...the links.

I'm not a fan of HTC Home - few sec after flashing it was gone (replaced with pointui 2.0).

I'm also more accustomed to X closing programs then using QuickMenu, though I must say it's quite nice.

3.FingerMenu

Flashed 1st time no probs
home screen looks nice network is ok connected to wireless ok,GPS connected first time menu bar could do with being a bit larger tried everything in PROGRAMS and SETTINGS and everything worked a ok
Rom seems nice and fast will give it a good going over now and install a few new programs see how it gets on, :cool: laters

Tried adding opera but sadly creates a registry editor that won't allow the device to get past the carrier splash was thinking about touchresponse but might annoy the the hell out of others never heard of fingermenu will take a look

so your camera is working fine.....it may be something to do with the tilt which wouldn't be good I'll try your radio see if that does anything

zoom is a bit slugish on the cam internet is working fine still not lost any signals and battry drain looks ok i am using radio 170 i might flash a different one to see if it brings up some problems

and the cam is not working and i cannot get gps to get a fix i will keep going with this radio then i will try a different one

My tilt was working fine this morning...Can't test tonight I have my phoenix rom in beta right now.

I'll try opera too when I look at the camera...I have no issues with opera in my builds.

I'm using the Nadavi camera package from alex's cooking packages also I'm about ready to bite somebody's head off because two of the setting .lnk files are missing e.g. in Start/Settings/System power and backlight are missing. I know they are there because I looked in the windows directory and found their exes but the .lnk file isn't in the settings am I missing something?

I'm a idiot:D:D it was the radio I'm uploading the new version now and it includes the correct radio the radio version that was needed was 1.58.26.20 because its an HTC ROM so now the camera works and so does calls etc.

finally a fast GPS :D the only thing is is that Wi-Fi isn't working but its just another damn .lnk file in the Comm Manager I'm trying another one just finished cooking it. And the video isn't working otherwise everything seems alright

I said only 4 beta testers have reported back so far not how many replies have been made ;) I just need to have the others report back so I know that it is also working for them.

P.S. I figured out the backlight and power settings also the clear storage trying to re-cook now. Also I'm going to install TCPMP and see how it plays videos if at all

I might have some time today...let me know if you need any help. I am going to load up the latest and see what gives on the video front. I am probably releasing an update to my rom tonight or tomorrow--that means I don't have to do anything to it today.:)

sorry for the long delay all:o I had a project that I did on Fri & Sat. and then as my luck would have it our internet slowed down down to a crawl on Sun and Mon so it wasn't even reasonable to upload then. P.S. There is a new bug that doesn't allow you to place shortcuts in HTC home :x although all the settings shortcut files are there (thanks to parleyp ;) )
