View Full Version : How to Flash (Vista)

Hello members hope im in right section to post such question ;)
Here it goes
Before week i had Xp and i was able to upgrade ROM on htc P3300 also known as Artemis ;)
Now i got this Vista (useless OS BTW)
now im not able to upgrade my HTC Artemis Rom custom
Is there any way to pass this problem?
BTW i have Vista H.P. 32bit

you should make sure the rom you're trying to flash can be flashed from vista.
read about it in the rom's thread.

ive never tried to flash from vista, i have xp pro installed on my laptop also (as well as vista) :D just a thought... i like the option to dual boot, off topic i know....

does your device load Windows Mobile Device Center when you connect it to the pc?

you can flash like that then.

make sure you have WMDC installed, make sure that you sync your device (you don't actually have to sync it, you need it to be recognized) and then you will be able to flash

Tried still getting this error
dont know why

you're not disturbing me. this is what the Q&A section is here for :)

from what i understand, you device doesn't even sync with your PC.
this is a problem to begin with.

when you connect your device to your PC, does it identify any new hardware?

No it doesnt nothing happen just litle sound then everything same

Might sound daft but have you checked the settings in active sync (WMDC) to allow sync via usb when connected, if this isnt checked, you'll have a problem?
