Fixed!!! error 0x85010013 for WM6.1 or WM6.5 [Archive]

Exchange 2007 server side was set some new policy on security. The attached patch works in most Windows Mobile 6.1 or 6.5 devices for the error code 0x85010013 when using the Direct Push.

It seems like what you solved is what I need. I cant use any of the cooked ROMs to connect to my Exchange 2007 work server. I get the generic 85010013 error.

I have a Sprint Titan WM device. I was wondering if your patch will work for a WM device. If not, what can I do to get it to work. Thank you!!!!

After testing, I confirmed it can run in any WM6.1 device and fix this issue!

Do you have what is being changed in a format that we can look at? I tried looking inside your exe, but my limited abilities couldn't find it.

Maybe what your changing could be provided into an xml so that it could be cooked into roms (even though I could cook the exe into a rom and have it executed on first boot).

Hello. Our company just installed Exchange 2007 with ISA server 2006.
Exchange server is FULLY patched with all available updates and rollouts.
I'm owner of Samsung i780 (WM 6.1 [i780PDXIB1]) and there is no need for any misterious patches to use Activesync with Exchange. Push-email works fine. Device wipe-out works like ... ghm... it erase not only phone, but flash card also...

So, are you crazy enough to run on your phone some "patch", when nobody do not know, what exactly it is doing?

May be this patch is actually doing something good, but as sysadmin I'll personally kill on sight any user account with such customizations.

I have used this for the last month and everything worked flawlessly until today. I guess my IS dept caught up to me and figured out a way to fix this loop hole. Now I guess I have to go through IS and get on my hands and knees.

Anyone else did this stop working for you?

Got moved (better late than never!) to Exchange 2007 server last night, and low and behold my device stopped syncing. Luckily I have a stock standard AT&T 6.1 device too to show that worked fine, so I knew it had to be something with the Ultimate V2 ROM. Installed patch, worked straight away.

I'm willing to do exact the oposite (disallow Activesync to provision) or at least, avoid some values (DeviceEncrypt).

Any ideas of how can I make it or any references to know what each value is for?

I've had this problem on my Fuze when flashing NRG roms and now with the TAEL rom. Was about to give up but found this thread tonight. After flashing TAEL's v2.23049 rom tonight, I ran this .exe for the i780 (whatever that is). Now I can sync with my Exchange 2007 Server. WooHoo!!!

Hi,
After applying teh patch my hearns device not able to recognise tehSD card. Otherwise teh problem related to Exchange 2007 is sloved. Not sure is there any issue related to SD card encryption. Can any one suggest the solution?

I'm unable to sync/connect my phone to Windows 7 32-bit on AMD 64-bit Athelon using WMDC 6.1

I reinstalled WMDC many times, unchecked Enable Faster connection on Phone's USB To PC connection.

Clean reinstalled Windows 7 again, but nothing happend. Device manager shows 'unknown device'.

Please help. I've wasted 1 week.

I am trying desperately to fix my 0x85010013 issues with exchange. Some ROMS have the the lock screen with only 4 options, will others have multiple lockout times. I get the error on the multiple lockout options ROMS even after this fix.

I am having this issue with some cooks that updated something in their kitchen that caused this issue.

It starts to sync, I get the screen where it prompts for a password due to my companies sec policies, I enter the password, then it stops working with the error. I have been searching in the reg from everyone else's policies but the problem does not seem to be there. One thing I noticed that this problem has in common with other ROMS is the change in options in the lock timeout screen.

Please take a look at my attached images, the "OLD" screen with the limited lockout options is the one that works. The "NEW" lockscreen seems to be the common thread in ROMS where I cannot sync even after this patch.

Anyone of any ideas?
