Checking email GPRS

I have my outlook to check for email via GPRS every 5 mins. Is there anyway when it checks for email, it will also auto disconnect the GPRS after finish checking the email? It's annoying to see that it keeps on getting connected , and it will drains the battery faster.

I don't know about being able to set it to turn off after checking, but there is a setting in Shap's Advanced Config for disconnecting after a specified ammount of time.

It's under Menu>More settings>Connections then checkmark "Disconnect after", then you can set it anywhere from 10 sec to 5 hours. so you could set it to disconnect after 1 or 2 min.
