I have just tried to install EzInput on my 3LiT3 flashed Polaris / Touch Cruise - and the keys is really big and go off screen after installing. What am I doing wrong? I used the VGA cab with the Swedish lang-pack. Thanks in advance!

Hi, first sorry for my bad english.
Now to my problem. I reinstall the original HTC Keyboard. But now the menu entry´s are in english. In the popup menu now the "Vollständiges QWERTZ" is named "full qwerty" and the "Telefontastatur" "phone keypad" and the "Kompaktes QWERTZ" "compact qwerty". How can i change the names back to german?

-Opening the settings randomly I get one of these:

I found this in UDK latest rom. He is using the latest Keyboard, might want to give it a shot. It might help. I didnt look to close at the file. Hopefully it will help.

I was thinking about a layout more similar (for sizes and key placement) to the EzInput 1.5 Landscape VGA... I don't have a VGA screen here, however, so this is just an opinion ;)

There are no differences between the registry of 2.0 and 1.4 cabs, only files with a more recent build. But the signing has changed once again, so we'll have to verify that. Have you tried leaving the 1.4 in and installing 2.0 over it ?

reinstalled 1.4, installed 2.0 over it. nothing to do: also overwriting the 1.4 with the 2.0 without uninstall, the new sipmenu has gone (so, if i start the sipgt_app i have the old menu without the ability to switch the new keyboards; if i kill sipgt_app i have nothing)

Not all languages are available on the pre-release rom.
The Beta2 cab includes English, German, French, Italian and Spanish.
There's no way to select them using the standard Input Panel.
To select it, you have to use the new SipMenu, included in cab B1.1 and above.

Only the newer phones from HTC can use the SipMenu (Elfin, Diamond, Raphael, Opal, Jade, Blackstone, Iolite).



Sorry to ask, but i didn't find the SipMenu eighter. Is there somewhere a shortcut or something like that to use?

With v2.0 I don't see two SIP menus anymore.
But you should warn the people, that after uninstalling this, the default HTC keyboards won't be available anymore.

seems like this later version of the keyboard. calls on SIPBitmaps to place images into where they need to be. So the images will need to be resized in this dll has well to get it working on other screen.

This is a mutli langage cab file so everyone is free to use it.

Hi, when I install your cab on my Diamond (udK Topaz R1 ROM with integrated EzInput 2.0 keyboard with arrows), I can't use the EzInput keyboard anymore... Uninstalling then I can use it again (but with arrows of course)...

Any idea?

DupinBJK - sorry for writing it here but you can't recieve PMs and this problem is bugging a lot of people, couple of experts sent me to you so I hope it's ok:

I have a fonts problem, somehow - SMS from the new sms Tab inside the new contact card (Topaz and Rhodium) sent good only in English, and if I send it in Hebrew - I can see the outgoing message properly in that tab - but the incoming message received as "???????", even in another device!
I installed Hebrew fonts everywhere...
I tried to changed the Manila fonts (the 4 ttf files that looks like "1111323_manila" for example), the Registry fonts, the \windows and \windows\fonts - and still (!) outgoing SMS are good, but the incoming messages received as "????????".
The most strange thing is that I can read any Hebrew SMS message and I even can send a good Hebrew SMS from the "old" sms tab/application. this crazy bug is only with the new contact-manila-sms-tab place...
what can I do?
I have a full Hebrew support in any other place in my device..
This problem happen in another Language as well...

i just saw this Thread and looked to the Layouts on the first post. My first thought was:

There are to many buttons on the phonekeypad - and some are double :confused:

in my opinion the phonekeypad is for finger use- like on "normal" phones too. -So there should be as big buttons as possible!

i changed the layout with Paint:eek: to show you what i mean.

Thank you this fixed the space bar issues I wias haveing with the other ones.

seems to have created a spacebar issue for me. Conflippers was lagging terribly and not actually applying the spacebar during quick typing for me.

I searched for "caps" in this thread, but did not find my issue:

After installing this keyboard, the hardware keyboard on my Touch Pro (lllboredlll's 21042.1.9.4.B TP2 ROM) develops an issue where the shift key acts like the caps key. I also couldn't use FN+1 to get the ! character. I'd assume there's more anomalies...

After uninstalling this keyboard, my issues disappeared.

2nd issue: i can`t use the phone keypad, it is only available the full qwerty

Do you know for chance how to remove the old sipGT from registry, so to avoid it loads automatically?

EDIT: nevermind, found it, it's HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\HTC\BootLauncher\Apps\S IPGT_app. Actually, however, i haven't found a way to use Touch Input as defaul (also if in registry it's selected as default: done this via sktools): after reset i always have the blue kbd as default

Has anyone gotten the Phone Keypad to work in WM6.5? I can only select the Full QWERTY, and I made sure that the SIPGT_app is not running, which it is not. Strange.

Looks good, how is it coming along? Maybe an idea is to remove the arrow buttons on the botton to save in height. Most QVGA have a hardware Dpad on it, so don't really need the arrows any way and it will add more readable screen space.

Hi DupinBJK,

first of all, congratulations for your great work. I am trying to port these keyboards to QVGA resolution but I am currently facing some issues with the predictive mode. When I switch to predictive mode, the key mappings seem to remain as if in VGA resolution: no matter if I press the 'q','w','a' or 's' the predictive mode would put a 'q' in the box (as these 4 letters fall inside the same key rectangle in VGA).
Do you know how this could be fixed? Does it have something to do with the kdb or ldb files? Are these coordinates hardcoded inside et9Ime.dll?Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I wanted to have a polish dictionary xT9 and found this topic

It have installed the launguage cab file and now there there is a strange autofill function always turned on even if the keyboard is on ABC mode. The space doesent work propery. At the firs tap it doesn't do anything and on second it copy the underlined text. It works as it would suggests some strange words. It's almost impossible to write a correct sms or everything else by this keybord. New word which I'm writing is underlined.

All the option for autocorrection are off in settings menu.

InWriter keabord seems to work fine?
Maybe it just need to be reinstall but I don't have any oryginal files.

How do you fix the fn lock hardware key for the blue angel. The fn lock works but it produces a "&" symbol aswel when its pressed??

I am using this keyboard and it works very nice.

settings are dutch and compact keyboard.
i think i liked the compact from the 1.5 version better, but this keyboard gives you more keys on one page.


I need help with these problems:

- first when typing in a name in the TO field of an sms, the XT9 option is disabled. I like this enabled so it can recognize the names. f.e. if i type sander as to-person, i have to type 77772663_3777 in stead of 726337

- second the XT9 option can be enabled when typing text, but when i exit and start a new sms i have to enable it again. i would like this option to be the default option.

any help?

* ezinput 2 based on jmz release (landscape vga, and no spacebar problems)
* no arrows on portrait (useful for diamond)
* first "numbers layout" is HEBREW keyboard

Is there a way to change the font used to print the characters on the keys? I have version 2.0 of EzInput installed on a stock official HTC wm 6.1 ROM. The keyboard is fully functional, without errors, and pretty nice by the way. But the characters on the keys are bold letter. So please, is there a way to tell the keyboard to just use Tahoma, not Tahoma bold.

For some reason my keyboard is stuck on the web looking keyboard where the .com is in place of the space bar. I'm using a touch pro for sprint. I'm trying to text people and I have to hit the 12# button to get to the space button after every word. Imagine how annoying that is! :( Please help fix.

Just installed it into my Omnia II and it kind of works.

After reboot and selecting Touch Input it gives a device.exe error. Any idea?
