This should be a central Thread for all Topaz and Rhodium Files. Some of these might Still be in WVGA, but It will still give links to everything. No need to have multiple threads in different places. Maybe A Mod can go through and Merge some of these threads together.

I noticed someone has posted a supposed Touch Pro 2 Calculator .cab:
http://mylostblog.altervista.org/software/freeware/per-htc/htc-freeware-htc-calculator-esclusiva. It looks great other than it is a huge install and it only works on WVGA. Looking at the cab file, there appears to be an XML file which skins the app. I'm throwing down the gauntlet to see who can first adjust all the layout so it fits on a VGA screen.
Also, I notice some images are .bmp and some are .png, so for extra credit see if you can convert all of them to .png and maybe save some space. I'm gonna look into this myself, but I know someone else can beat me to completing this.
P.S. - Not sure if you'll have to resize the button graphics to fit, or if the w/h parameters in the layout xml will do that for you on load.

WVGA - 800 x 480
VGA - 640 x 480
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Vector_Video_Standards2.svg
I've done it (before reading this thread). But I don't know how to create cabs.
I resized the buttons (both portrait and landscape) and updated the coordinates and dimensions in the file "CalculatorMain_NoImgPkg.xml" (installed in the \Windows folder).
And also, I don't like all these small bmp files in my windows folder, so I moved the whole bunch to "\storage card\program files\htccalc"
I attach the buttons in a zip file, and the converted xml (also zipped).
This is not much use for most of you, but could be a good base for a VGA version.
"Installation":
1. install the original mylostblog version
2. delete the calc_*.bmp files from your windows folder
3. create the folder "htccalc" under "program files" in your storage card
4. unzip "buttons.zip" into the "htccalc" folder
5. replace "CalculatorMain_NoImgPkg.xml" in "\Windows" with the attached "CalculatorMain_NoImgPkg.xml"
To get to the scientific version slide out the keyboard or use a screen rotation utility.

Got the dependencies working on the Touch Pro 2 files from the dumpity-dump, here's the Manila:
http://www.4shared.com/file/88620823/b845055a/PACKAGE_CustomRhodium_Manila.html
Same launch as the others-- open SIP keyboard while launching. The sure fire way is on Today->Items, open SIP keyboard before checking TF3D. Let's see if others can modify it faster than xboxmod (I'm busy with my ROM this will take take to resize) :D
EDIT: this is an OEM, not a cab, if you don't know what to do with it, then... :p
EDIT 2: this has not been resized, it's in CFC form, this came from the Dutty dump coming from SatScan.

Welcome to the EzInput 2.0 Keyboard Suite project.
Ok, the time has come.
HTC has rushed to prepare a pre-release of its EzInput 2.0 technology just in time for the MWC in Barcelona, and we have it here ready for our tweaks, hacks and workarounds.
These are the new layouts - only Phone Keypad and Full Qwerty, this time.
http://i384.photobucket.com/albums/oo284/DupinBJK/Ez2_Portrait_small.png
http://i384.photobucket.com/albums/oo284/DupinBJK/Ez2_Landscape_small.png
The first two Beta cabs are ready for download, but beware, this is just for experienced users only.
As you'll see, the known issues are a bit annoying, especially if compared to what we're accustomed to with the 1.5 release.
But that said, the huge use of .xml configuration files will probably mean a quite easily customizable experience for all the known form factors.
Sadly, it seems that although the .xml configuration files might be ok, the keyboard in its current form presents too many bugs to be acceptable for a day-to-day use.
Feel free to make your tests and prepare your cabs and packages. A better release will arrive as soon as the first Rhodium and Topaz phones will be ready for prime time...

Known Issues
Availability of Keypad Layout.
The Keypad layout is available and working, but not selectable using the settings or the old Input Panel.
To select it, you have to use the new SipMenu, included in cab B1.1 and above.
Only the newer phones from HTC can use the SipMenu (Elfin, Diamond, Raphael, Opal, Jade, Blackstone, Iolite).
The layout can be forced - in Portrait mode - using the registry.
Languages Availability and Selection.
Not all languages are available on the pre-release rom.
The Beta1 cab includes English, German, French, Italian and Spanish.
There's no way to select them using the standard Input Panel.
To select it, you have to use the new SipMenu, included in cab B1.1 and above.
Only the newer phones from HTC can use the SipMenu (Elfin, Diamond, Raphael, Opal, Jade, Blackstone, Iolite).
The old Language Packs made for V1.5 are *NOT* compatible with V2.0.
It seems that the main language can be forced through a registry setting, but it has not yet been verified.
Landscape mode keys don't work as expected.
In Landscape mode, a few keys don't seem to work at all.
The .xml layout definition files seem to be ok, so this might be a bug in the code.
Changelog

In other news here is the HTC ALBUM Version 2.5.1820.4127 and 3.0.1911.1826. the only thing i see different is 2.5 version does have Album Social Networking and it works with FOOTPRINTS. 3.0 is truely from TP2 and doesn't support footprints. other than that it moves quicker than other albums. this is all i can see that is different. (THANKS TO CONFLIPPER FOR THE CORRECTIONS)
to use it with FOOTPRINTS with version 2.5 you must have it installed already. When you click on a picture that has gps lat and long cordinates in it select menu and scroll down. under save to contacts you will see 2 blanked out lines. the one under save contacts opens google maps while the one under that one opens up footprints.
Version 2.5.1820.4127 that works with footprints, you can download from here: http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?ynjlvtjawvc
Version 3.0.1911.1826 that doesn't work with footprints and is from TP2, you can download from here: http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?ktjiyjzzytn
see pictures below from version 2.5 that works with footprints
UPDATE 2/26/2009: version 3 has some pics still need to be resized in should be posted soon as i am working on it as we speak.

but we can't announce a release date because we don't know.
this project is not an easy task so i ask you to be patient
an please don't spam the thread to ask for a release date.
NOT YET RELEASED
last news:
autoloader fixed
all lua soon decompiled a giant leap for this project! THX To Sztupy
I'm a Blackstone owner I don't really need this!
i do this only because i love what we do together on xda.
This is what the word community mean.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Fixed
Auto-loader is now fixed!!
Some tabs re-sized to VGA!!
All tabs functional and all features working!!
Major crash issues seem resolved!!
To Do......
Slider bar is still not showing - NEED LUA HELP IF YOU CAN!!
Some tabs still need resizing in both portrait and landscape.
Other than that it's almost done guys. As xboxmod said in his post up above, PLEASE do not beg and whine and complain. It will be released when it is released and currently there is no tentative release date.
We will keep you updated as we go so please be patient.
Thanks for your understanding,
Dan.
EDIT:: [2/25/09]Small update - Weather tab in landscape mode now appears to be almost fixed completely. Update text is in the works :D Arrows to switch cities are being left out because of the gap they create on the far right side.

Yes, a better idea would be to use a main thread to post the download links, and separate threads for the ongoing discussions... trying to follow posts regarding each package would be overwhelming, in a single merged thread...

Hello,
my htc ezinput is not scale to the screen on my diamond in landscape

It depends on the cab you're using...
I've personally posted only WVGA cabs, but other users have posted several VGA versions, for which there's (or better, there will soon be again :)) a poll going on.
I'm quite sure that a VGA with a landscape resized to 640px has been posted, though. You can now go back to the original thread. We'll collect all the working cabs on the Conflipper's thread later.

Good !
What about removing the arrows ? It should be easy for Portrait, and it will require some tweaks for Landscape, but on QVGA it would give us more real estate and bigger keys...
Since I'm going to redraw the VGA Landscape to remove the arrows and make it more consistent with the V1.5 layout, when it will be ready it will be easy to have a QVGA version too.
I'm just a bit too busy right now, but that's on the TODO list... ;)

The links in the first post are outdated. E.g. the link to Manila3D (not yet finished) should be: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=486471 , and the link to the new keyboard is dead, while it should point to http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=486227 .

Does anybody have a CAB or OEM (which I prefer :D) for the NotificationEnhancement with the nice-looking notification graphics? I mean the icons like those: http://img25.imageshack.us/img25/5341/iconcalendar.png
by the way: what are the dependencies for this app?

that isn't a SMS application.
That's a screenshot of a page from the new TouchFlo3D that's in the newer diamonds (and is being ported over to our old Diamonds).
So you can't easily make a CAB from that.
(BTW, the older SMS interface from WM6.1 is still being used in the new TouchFlo from what I've seen from video's. If you go to the SMS tab, click on New, you still get the old sms-interface :(. You have to go to the new contacts tab, pick a contact, and switch to sms-history to use the TouchFlo interface. argh.)

This should be a central Thread for all Topaz and Rhodium Files. Some of these might Still be in WVGA, but It will still give links to everything. No need to have multiple threads in different places. Maybe A Mod can go through and Merge some of these threads together.

As far as I know there is no new calendar in the Diamond2 / TouchPro2.
The calendar _tab_ is integrated in the new TouchFlo3D, so that's part of the Manilla3D pacakge... which (as seen in the stuff you quoted :P) isn't released yet. (Close though I hope!).

If on a Diamond2 / TP2 you click on the Start-menu icon (or the word 'Start') you don't get the old fashioned start menu, but you go to the Programs tab in TouchFlo3d. Nothing to do with a new/old calendar right? :). It isn't a separate program, it's more of a tweak.
FYI: The 'start menu' isn't a real program, it's part of the Windows Mobile OS layer. The process would be 'shell32' that manages it.
What might mistake you is that all the old programs got new icons, so they might look newer.
If you want, you can send me (PM, email?) a screenshot / picture of the new calendar you've seen. Then I can tell you if you're right (and I'm wrong :P), or it's the new TouchFlo or just a new icon :).

Can someone help me with some Rhodium packages? I really want a VGA ported commanager with all the extras(bluetooth setup, wifi, etc) And is there a different power off in the Rhodium or Topaz that uses images instead of the ugly windows mobile window? The ROM I'm currently using has all this stuff and it just makes it like a whole new device. I want to cook a personal ROM so I can cook in my regular apps and skin the entire interface from manilla white to black. So, anybody with any of this stuff wanna share?

The ROM you are using is probably udk's Syrius. R3/R4.
His roms are always kinda ahead of the pack. So if you see something in there, good chance the rest didn't know it was possible yet :).
The power-off thing is (I think) part of the new sys from the 2.04 ROM and the OS build he's using, but he ported A LOT of Topaz and Rhodium stuff in himself.
The new connection-setup: no idea where it is.
The CommManager is kinda available. Aa few cooks asked not to spread it around, but I know it is in latest VIC 3.7 ROM, and his roms are open. So you can download vic 3.7 rom, dump it. Take the comm manager packages and cook it into your own. That's how I did it.

Actually I was using Energy ROM for Touch Pro/Fuze. I dumped it, but I guess I'm just not that skilled cause I got a couple folders with no organization at all. Was able to peice together the commanager, but still cant get the wifi and phone wizards. Got the BT wizard working. I ended up getting a package from another chef, but I think he must have missed something as well because when I cook it in or cab it up I get the same error mesage: "Failed to reading 'Software\HTC\Commanager\1'..."
Any help is appreciated because I'm oh so close now. Here is a cab of the Rhodium power off in return for some help here ;) Also, the cab for the commanager. Not working, but let me know if you can fix it up. PM is the best cause I'm trying to follow like 15 threads right now.
EDIT: I just tried this commanager cab on my fuze and working now. Not sure if it was because I instaled over the nonworking one that I cooked in or not. Could someone else give it a try? Then we got a working cab for commanager and poweroff ;) That would be awesome.
EDIT2: You have to kill commanager with task manager before installing new commanager. But I been using it a whileand no issues.

I got the comm-manager ( + wifi connect + bluetooth connect + phone settings) working in OEM form (my own rom) (pretty simple, rip it from VIC's :P).
The Power-off screen is easy to tip from the official Topaz rom on www.everythingdiamond.info (working in my own rom, OEM).
Still looking for the connection-setup in the new style as the poweroff-screen. Expected it to be in the Topaz rom but or it's called different now or I'm missing it :).

I need LongPressEndKey.cab, guy.
Tom's Topaz ROM doesn't contain it. I rather to use my end key to switch vibration/ring profile more than use it to lock the device.
Does anyone has it for wvga?
