HERE ARE SOME CHANGE
1.turn off simkit.those people who use 2 number in one sim card cannot use it.
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\7B58F1D9...\INPROCSERVER32 \SIMTKIT.DLL
change to NOSIMTKIT.DLL
2.turn of video call:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SECURITY\PHONE\SKIN\ENABLED=0;E XT=PHONEEXT.DLL
3.speed up the system:HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\GDI\GLYPHCACHE\LI MIT=206696
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\STORAGEMANAGER\FATS\CACH ESIZE=4096;ENABLECAHCE=6
4:touch sensitivity..
NOTE:the maximum sensitivity
If YOU WANT CALLWAITING...HERE
5:switch on the callwaiting
HKCU\ControlPanel\Sounds\CallWaiting
Category=Incall
script=apw0pr
sound=callwait.mid
HKCU\ControlPanel\SoundCategories\Incall
InitVol=5
If you use a multi-simcard adaptor (simore for example), don't change the simkit.dll value (1st tweak). It's used to switch from on sim card to the other.
:this reg change may have a risk ...
plz bear it yourself

In my case increase of free memory was also quite significant. First I've set option 1 and 3. That gave 4 MB. When switched of video calls I received additional 5MB. So from 20 to 29MB free - really nice. As for now no problems occured after the change.
Thanks bun_0806 !

Wonderful! thank you dear!
I also wanna know if there's a way to increase pressure threshold like in the htc for the screen sensitivity!
thanks

wow! this awesome...i tried with max sensitivity and it really works better!
in your opinion, folks, there's an higher value than FFFFFFFF? what happen if i try to put 2000000 instead of 1000000?

6th March 2009, 05:16 PM
This is trully awesome ! This is just the amount of ram we needed for the KS20 to work really faster and smoother.

everytime my ks20 (kisS 20.4) "wakes up" from suspend, it tends to crash/lag alot. any idea why? (34mb spare ram at the moment) could it be pnp unload delay?
also is there a way to change default storage of camera pictures to /storage card/pictures ?

6th March 2009, 07:36 PM
cool, sensitivy. MAX to ffffff and works fine!
someone knows which Opera Version really WORKS STABLE on this ROM which don't causes any Crashes. Most cases if Opera is installed and once started the systems just restarts sporadic (even if it's not active anymore).

Impressive. From 24MB to 27MB. (and 28 with a little help from SKTools)
What's especially great about this mod is that you get back memory despite increasing the Glyphcache (which will conversely EAT memory). Are there folks who don't use Option 3 and left the Glyphcache at 131xxx?
Edit: Also, I need a little info on that EnableCache setting. I don't have any idea what it does.

...after modification I sometimes experienced strange behaviour when making a call. The dialing tone is still present even though the other side answers the call - you can imagine how disturbing it may be during talking. What is worse, the dialing tone remains also after canceling the call by the other side and it gets louder. No other help then restart to stop the sound.
I gues it may have something to do with the disabling of STK service (??) on the SIM or with the other change of disabling the video calls. I reverted the STK service change back and will test it for a while...

Still memory problems - 29Mb free (unable to launch camera : unsufficient memory) with S2U Pro and HS++ (Skin TF2D by chpoubs)

1.HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\7B58F1D9...\INPROCSERVER 32\SIMTKIT.DLL change to NOSIMTKIT.DLL
2.HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SECURITY\PHONE\SKIN\ENABLE D=0;EXT=PHONEEXT.DLL
3.HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\GDI\GLYPHCACHE\LIMIT=2 06696
4.HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\STORAGEMANAGER\FATFS\C ACHESIZE=4096;ENABLECAHCE=6
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ ^^^
you could use resco explorer or some other registry edit and use the tweaks above.

...so, I realized that the reason for "non stop dialing tone" is the change No.2 means using the library of the non-LG phone keypad layout "PhoneExt.dll". After reverting back to "LGphoneExt.dll" the proper function recovered and the dialing tone appears properly - only when dialing / connecting. I will play a bit with that to find out why this happened.
...someone else experienced similar problems or am I alone here?

please folks,
tell me how this supposed to work!
a regvalue, which wasn't there before should now be parsed???
ehm, NO.
the lg ks20 uses a completely different touch.dll than a htc ppc. lg's driver operates at max sensitivity all the time.
the touch sensitivity ONLY differs if u use manilla2d - otherwise you CAN'T feel a difference! even if u try hard to! and even if u desperately wan't it!
so bun_: please write a remark in your 1st post bout that. like: WILL ONLY WORK WITH MANILLA2D INSTALLED... or such
greets

Switchke: Ever found solution for it? When on UMTS, i would have dialing tone keep going on forever. I have to button Off the phone and than upon turn On it will disappear. If I use GSM 900/1800/1900, no issues.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\STORAGEMANAGER\FATS\CACH ESIZE=4096;ENABLECAHCE=6
that are the ones i use all the time if you want i can add the other too
Btw: don't use it on the WM 6.5 since i experienced a big setback in memory for a small improvement.
I made a mistake in the cab. Fixed it and i also did minor changes so the screensensitivity should be higher

Tried a registery change in the storage card to let it work faster. Might help if you don't like to wait the full one second :p
change
HLM\Drivers\SDCARD\ClientDrivers\Class\SDMemory\Hi gh_Capacity\BlockTransferSize 48 change the 48 into 16
I did have once that the SD card disappears from the settings so had to soft reset

Hi all,
i have the same problem about the speaker giving constantly the call sound... related to tweaking the LGEPhoneExt.dll
I am wondering, if you change it to PhoneExt.dll what are you telling the phone to do? In fact, there exists only the LGEPhoneExt.dll file, but not the other one....(i haven't found it in my phone).
Why do some people have been successful? Do they have a PhoneExt.dll?
The same thing, why does it work properly the tweak of nosimtkit.dll? In fact, this file does not exist and, in sktools, it appears as an invalid registry key
(Sorry for my poor english!)

the phoneext.dll is changing the skin to don't have the video call button. It will become a speeddial button.

Thks Switchke, but i had got the idea of a skin.....if that file phoneext.dll was available! But my 6.1 spocky rom has not this file....so, if i have been unsuccesful without this file....the people that did it, was with that file?? Where is it? May you upload it?

still need to go after it tbh :p but i'm a bussy fellah and there aint a shop nearby. You can always try using a simcard of a friend of ur mom and dad and see if they have the problem. In belgium only base gives that problem

Thank you for providing this tweaks to us. I gained around 6MB of free memory (from 35MB to 41MB) by using step 1 to 3.
