I found here (http://www.oiopda.com.cn/viewthread.php?tid=2486) WM 6.5 ROM in chinese language for HTC Tornado. Download link: http://www.brsbox.com/filebox/down/fc/877f2f4e5f84d606c1f5b1917c465ee7/rand/1920925846
Now I testing on my HTC Tornado. ROM is fast and fairly stable. How to change language on english?

ok i flashed the rom it works like a charm very fast, plus it looks cool very crisp new look, and btw you cant change the language like i asked alredy tryd that, semms it only has chinese

anyone figured out how to unlock the device, iv lockt the keys and now i cant unlock them , unlock+0 dont work 0o

What I find interesting from the video is, that it seems very easy to use on non-touchscreen device. I did not try the rom yet, but it really looks usable.
EDIT: It really seems to work well. Only if I spoke Chinese... I guess I have to learn it now :)

I can read the Chinese but none of the keys work.

Normally, you unlock it by pressing unlock and "0" but it did not work in this rom. I've tried pressing all the buttons and none worked. But then again, I don't understand the text, so that might be the problem :/

Use the special utility "KeyUnlock", it is built in this ROM.
It is possible to assign any button (0-9) as unlock key.

Hi,
I hope english rom will be soon ;). I can't wait. I have tested this rom - in my opinion it's very stable and easy to use, also for Tornado, but i've heard about one thing - wm 6.5 has another construction of system. That's not problem for rom makers ? I hope not...

When I return home later, I will try to see if this works. Last time, I was unable to go around all the menu before I got locked.

The above Chinese mean that the most important thing after you install the ROM is to run the "keyunlock" which you can find in the PROGRAM FILES,then set the unlock key to be 0,then confirm,then you will unlock the device,or you will get locked ! Hope this can help you!

In order to get rid of the lock, i used ActiveSync Remote Display from the WM Power Toys, so i could "click" on it. Now i'm using S2U2 with dpad enabled to lock. Thanks for the tip on the program to use though :)

I was looking for and I found here (http://bbs.tamamade.com/thread.php?fid-35-page-1.html) many new ROMs for Tornado in Chinese. I downloaded this (http://bbs.tamamade.com/read.php?tid-5371-fpage-3.html) ROMs (WM 6.5 21198 and 21202). If anyone want it, I can upload it ;).
Could you or anyone tell me how to integrate English files into chinese kitchens and remove other languages without having adverse effects?

Is it at all possible to port this ROM to the Excalibur? Or are there too many conflicts with regards to drivers? this wud be so good if we could have it for that device

I've made some translation... there is my first time of translation and cooking (mama) :P

Results...
It boots?¿?¿?..... YES!!!! :P
Can call?.... YES TOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!
Is translated?¿??...... self translated... JAEJAEJAJEJAJEJAEJA
i.e.:
-camera works... menus translated but camera title is in chinesse ....
-outlook... self chinesse too xD
... stay tunned

A little big problem... StartMenu doesn't shows...

buttons (home, (ie, and 3 of playback in sp5m) ) also isn't configured...

Translation process are not explained a lot in the forum... if someone can help me for that job...

I've read similar problems and the reply has been the same, so this is what I've read. You need to install a input language. ie T9-English. Otherwise, you won't have text, only numbers.

The only thing that i dont know is how configure home/camera/comm manager buttons with that system.

JouSePo: I tried and it works for buttons POC, Camera, AP1 and AP2. Thanks. In notepad create shortcut files. Names shortcut files are this: SHORT_POC, SHORT_Camera, SHORT_AP1, SHORT_AP2.

But still doesn't show Start menu. I used FakeCursor and click on "Start" and Start menu doesn't show it. When I used home button so doesn't show Start menu.

By the sustitution method i've translated some apps but not system apps yet.
The problem is shellres.dll that cause buttons irresponsible (that dont do nothing xD) and SysLang configuration in registri. Tomorrow will try more...

On saturday evening I flashed my translated and cooked ROM WM 6.5 build 21501 in English and I still use it :). Buttons working and start menu I replace by QuickMenu. Locking keys doesn't work (I can't lock keys). And settings today/today plugins I must in ROM set via program PointUI 2.0. But many bugs I fixed after flash in the device. ROM has set pagepool on 5 MB (it is set from Chinese version) and after boot is free RAM 29-30MB and free storage is cca 16MB. I use OEM folder from MietasSR WM 6.5 21169 so in ROM didn't work camera. How I add program in the kitchen so as the folder with program has been after flash in Program Files and his shortcut in Windows\StartUp? I need it for program QuickMenu, because this program I installed after flash ROM to the device.

FULL TRANSLATION DONE!!!!!!! And fully operational!!!

-I don't know why StartMenu is not created at first run.... solved!!!!!
