Newby Help!!!

Have just got my hands on my first wizard.

Phone came off ebay with a VERY dead battery which I managed to get going with the help of a 9v battery out of my smoke alarm.:D

I am now stuck deciding which wm6.1 rom to update it with. I have searched through the forum and to be honest I have given myself a headache and I feel no further forward.

Any help or pointers would be GREATELY appreciated.

I would rather have a generic type rom

I've also just got my hands on a Wizard with a dead battery, thanks for the tip about zapping it with a 9V battery, saves me having to wait for my new battery to arrive off ebay.

I found this page of the wiki useful for deciding what ROM to choose.

I haven't upgraded yet myself, but I went by rating and popularity and support for the G4.

I put the slim_19199 rom on and all is running well...........

I tried kick start the battery using the butchered USB cable method first (as shown on youtube) and got nowhere with it.
