extra shortcut spaces on programs screen!

i have filled all 18 of the spaces on the programs page, and from nowhere, 6 extra spaces have appeared. i wouldnt mind if these spaces were usable but they are not, if you try and add a shortcut to them it just remains empty.

i'm really annoyed. and any solution would be good

Open your device registry:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\HTC\Manila\ProgramLaun cher

Delete any keys > 17
