I've searched the forums and I simply cannot find a definitive answer whether the DIAM130 will connect to 3G in North America on the 850 band.
Yes or no will suffice..

It's not about the device that is responsible for determining whether it can do 3G. It's about the Radio and the area of availability.
Different Radio's offer different performances between reception and battery consumption. Just go through all the quad bands to see which is best for you.

ERr, let me ask again.
Can anyone with a DIAM130 successfully use 3G data speeds on Rogers or Fido?
I know I'll be able to use voice and 2G (edge) data, just asking about 3G.
Unless I missed something, you can't flash a DIAM100 to work with North Amercian 3G.
