Hey guys, I wanted to test out the cam on my Diamond yesterday and noticed something very peculiar. I don't use it usually, I reserve that honour for my Nikon D300, but I wanted to check how well it did video and came accross this:

It looks like the Bayer pattern interpolation got screwed up somehow. Is there a way to fix this without flashing the phone or sending it back to the shop? I just got it after waiting 4 months and don't want to part with my baby. :( God knows how long they'll be fiddling with it...

Cheers.

Phew, hard reset fixed it, now to restore everything back to its former glory.

Lock, please.

Nope, it's back.... It came back about an hour after the hard boot, I removed all software, it was gone this morning, now it's back. What the bloody bleep?

Can't help you with the camera but I do recommend ppcpimbackup to backup messages, contacts etc. It's an exe you should always have on the internal storage card, no need to install or anything. That way you can restore even if you have no computer at hand.

It's more likely hardware problem...

Both cams do the same, so it's not the sensor, but somewhere in between it and the display. Like I said above, most likely Bayer pattern interpolation gone wacky. It seems to fix itself after a soft reset (not shutdown and restart), so I'll just use that whenever I need to make a video.
