Wow this is great. I didn't expect it to look that good on QVGA already. I've been addicted to your 6.5 roms, and now this comes in. :D You are awesome!

One question though. Will it work on my ATV? Its a polaris.... :cool: just kidding

ok guy it's will work on qvga devices....
this version is faster than tf3d from diamond, new start menu, new notifications, new menu... just need to fix some tabs....
can't say a date relase yet but working on it...

We are still working on that, but as that is a driver issue its up in the air right now. We are focusing our efforts on just getting a stable everyday ROM at this point! nice thing is, yes there is landscape and it is very fast! :)

This already sounds very promising.

I confess I eventually gave up on your previous TF3D version reluctantly. I just had one too many freeze and missed the speed.

But of course, I stayed with your work and am currently running your 6.5 rom (v5 I think - will update once some of the current issues are worked out).

Now I see that you are working on this and I am intrigued. If the speed is closer to your 6.5 rom, which is just excellent, by the way, then it will be something to admire!

As many before me have said, keep up the great work and thanks for all you are doing for this community.

I'm with Andywj on this one; I gave up on *a* version of TF3D due to speed and constant SR issues. I'm hoping your newer version addresses these. Landscape would be good too, but I don't want to count my chickens...

Video would be great, also I believe this thread should be moved to development and hacking once there is a release. That way it gets to who needs it, but if we do it now it will only flood the thread until something comes out. Just my 2 cents. :D

I, too, have been checking this topic daily (more like a few times a day) in hope of an update. I don't want the dev to rush, just kind of been curious as to whether or not there have been any updates. By all means, take your time. I'd rather have a quality version as opposed to a rushed, buggy version. Keep up the great work! And BTW, I think everyone would appreciate a video :D

Nah, Megaton's lost it's "glow" a bit (yeah, I defused the bomb; I'm a good guy. *shrug*), and Rivet City has good Iguana on a Stick, but it's not the same as spicy Sesame Chicken. :D

I also agree with goander. Operation Anchorage barely gave me 4 hours of gametime; it felt kind of rushed. I'd hate to have a good dev like utopy release a rushed version. We can wait. We're just busting your chops.

BTW, good look on the Fallout references shadowline. Can you tell I like it *that* much? LOL!

And personally I do not mind early released yet unfinished software, as long as its actively being worked on. Though I cant say the same for everyone. lol

Case in point, I run windows 7 as a main os on my pc, ubuntu jaunty on my laptop. utopykzebulon's 6.5 rom on my tilt, with android as my mostly main OS there... Software is just too much to list, but im always running the newest beta WLM, and even boxee for windows.... I'm a beta tester for just about anything I can beta test. lol Gotta love living on the edge.... :D

We do it because we can, its the thrill of having something that was NEVER supposed to work on our phones work. And then releasing it to the rest of the community to do the same. Who knows maybe after this the standby issue could get fixed? You never know. But I for one enjoy every bit that I can get no matter how well or not it works. I tried Manilla 3D before it was touchFlo 3D. Back when we had no idea what it was other than it is something cool. I run operating systems from phones that aren't even for sale yet, or sometimes not even in production. I even run T-mobile/Googles beloved Android system on my AT&T Tilt to the dismay of t-mobile and AT&T reps alike. So please don't go about why would someone want to, ask if they can make it better!

HEy guys sorry don't get me wrong....i think it's great that TF3d is working on our old qvga devices. I DON'T think it's stupid to port TF3D to qvga because when the standby bug gets solved (i really hope so) EVERYONE will use this ports. But what i wanted to say is that the succession of the work is maybe a little bit unlucky.
I think it would be better to concentrate on solving the standby bug. I don't know if still someone is working on solving this issue!? has there any progress been made? The informations about this are really bad! I'm no programmer so i can't do anything to help (maybe testing and finding a few bugs). Sorry i didn't want to offend somebody.

We are still working on it, but there are 4,000 plus files and lua's to go through and it is very time consuming, plus even when cooked into a semi-working ROM you end up with around 11 mb of program memory! :eek:
So we need to work on the manila exe as well! We are trying and it will get done, just not sure when! On another note, I am getting a touch pro in about a week and I will still be around here but not as much! My heart will always belong to the Kaiser thread! :)

I don't mind a buggy touchflo, I had the original manilla installed that ran at less than 4fps. :D

i m dr ali. i have installed the rom v8 on my kaiser. it gives me hang ups and slowed it up. i havent uncheked standby on battery. it will lose alot battery, thats my worry. is this the reason. give me fixes. i m also your fan. waiting for your new rom .

standby problem come from drivers so yes it have but this one relaunch faster...
& i can't say a relase date because i work a lot & i don't have so many time to work on tf3d...

if u can change menus and other by ur self(on an stable 6.1) is better than all but tf3d is an exiting app i ever see it's too fun and usefull and beautiful but 6.5 menus are good only(thats no usefull)
please work on it beacuase can't change my phone at all:mad: but when wm7 arrived i will put it under my car then i have to by a new device.lol:D

Oh so you have to go in and manually change the manila files from WVGA resolution to our QVGA resolution? That takes a lot of work :s. I'm curios as to how you are doing it though. Are you taking the pixel height and dividing it by 2.5 as with the width are you dividing it by 2?

So now that XBmod Manilla from the Rhodium is out, will that help this project at all? Really interested in getting this even if standby is still screwy.

Also, just to try it, installing the xbmod version actually does run on the tilt, and very smooth really. Just needs resizing on it all. And yes the standby issue still exists.

The standby problem is a driver issue. Isn't it a possibility to disable the drivers instead of TF3D to solve this problem? The drivers will probably reload faster than TF3D when coming out of standby?

I don't know if this is even possible. Just a thought.

This is my work so far.. I cannot promise you anything. I havent been working on this for so long. I'm working on this in my spare time, so don't rush me ;)

Not duplicate, different versions, this one is from the Rhodium, AKA Touch pro 2. The other is from the Touch HD. As far as I know the HD port to QVGA is mostly dead as the TP2 version is an updated version.

A tf3d qvga vrsion was released. The diamond version. These versions are from htc HD and that wich is in the new diamond 2...

All I want to say is that this is still under construction as far as i know so nobody knows that until it will be tested. If your device has a qvga screen then it may work.

only CPU acceleration working? I'm using MONAHAN MSM6500 CPU. (non-OpenGL ES devices, non-MSM72xx)
or this working 'HTC Touch Dual, LG Incite, HTC Touch Diamond, SE Xperia X1' only?

i m not passimist, neither i m an expert in rom development. yet i have tried v8 wwe with tf3d by utopy, and was nt impressed at all. there is no logic in compromising speed and power hours for a mare of 3d effects. with the standby a major problem, that i doubt to be solved, i din spend alot of time into switching into a 2d version of touch flow. it was a great relief, with the speed and effeciency coupled with long battery life. so friends, if you like using 3d, spend some money,and buy diamond or other cells with higher resolution , but if u dont have those extra bucks, just try to live with 2d. dont over-burden your poor kaiser or tilt, by compelling it to do what it is not designed for, niether our friends like UTOPY. i m really impressed by their works, but it seems like a wild goose chase. no offense.:)

Might also want to try to incorporate the UPX Compression once everything is up and running. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=481880.
All dem props to this guy who's developing this TF3d! Part of the reason why I left my kaiser was my experience with Manila2D being unpleasant! By the time I sold it, it was buggy like hell!

i got touch hd but i will still wait for this project to be done as i still have tytn2 and on my opinion it is better than hd in use and all what it needs is the touchflo 3d without the stand by bug

how much storage space will it take or can we install it in the storage card, as i have hardly 15 mb internal memory left and can't install anything more than 5 mb. any file bigger than that gets automatically deleted to save 10 mb of internal memory storage.

guys, quit pestering him. I'm still surprised that he even took this on by himself. The other version of TF3D for the kaiser was a HUGE collaborative effort between quite a few people. Give it some time. If Seb hasn't posted by around Dec. the thread -might- be dead, although I left for about 7 months Lol.
