There is a very cool Bell UI application for Palm Treo. You can download it from the link below.

After installing the CAB file, go to Start -> Settings -> Today select Items tab and uncheck then check Bell UI to start.

You should have Bell data plan to use Bell UI. The application retrieves data such as news, weather, entertainment, business news,…etc.

Anyone tested this on an unlocked, NA Pro? Looks interesting...I might have to give it a try. I'll let everyone if it works or not.

I had no problem downloading and installing the CAB, but my Pro didn't display it when selected under the Today settings. Oh well, it was worth a shot.

Bell UI checks for Bell user agent before it starts. So if your device is not from Bell, it will not work, unless you create a registry key on your device.

What is the registry key?

I'll echo crowdawg54's question about what the registry entry is. And I'll add a question. What effect will the registry entry have on using the Treo Pro on other networks?

yeah... from what i see, on the interface site, there isnt a treo pro. and on the treo pro page there, the bell interface isnt featured as an included ui.

That may be a nonissue. The Bell UI was created by the Pointui folks. If it is an offshoot of the previous Pointui version, it'll automatically fit the screen. If it's based on 2.0, it may not size right, but positioning should be ok.

ok, this so far seems like the best ui app

the problems im having

1 adding my music to the whole thing
2 adding weather

the whole (press here and hold) seems to either shut down the app, or not do anything at all.

any help?

also: the program seems to have disabled the registry hack that removed WIFI from the main screen

another note: pressing call end, no longer turns off the phone with this on

How do you remove the bell.ui_cert.cab?
