I have been experiencing an weird issue with my AS 4.5 . When I connect my P3452 it keeps on saying "looking for change" and finally fails..

I use "activesync" only for getting the internet connection from my PC. I mean I have a broadband connection at my PC. and I use activesync only when i need to use internet on my ppc, So my question is ; "is there any alternative way which will allow me to use PC's internet connection on PPC ? or the only way is to write my own s/w for data packet transfer :D ?"

P.S.
I think, my cable or the connector b/w my ppc and the cable may be malfunctioning. How is HTC customer support? Do they replace or repair properly? I m within warranty period though.

I have yet another question.. Does installing custom made ROM void warranty? I mean I have a custom made ROM installed now. 'd I change it to a 'official ' one before i go to the service center?

Hey,

Firstly custom rom will void your warranty, so do at your own risk! If you have an official rom handy and you only softspl (uspl) then no one will know if you flash original one back on..... do make sure you read LOTS before flashing tho....

Secondly, if oyu have broadband at home, wireless? then just use the wireless function on ur ppc?

If you dont then check the settings on active sync and make sure the connection says this computer connects to the internet and not any other setting like automatic.

If that fails, goto active sync on both ur PPC and pc and delete the partnership. THen you can set up a clean partnership again, that normally gets rid of most gremlins.

Good luck.
