There are only two apps which will switch to landscape automatically on the Diamond (without any additional software), and they are HTC Album and Opera Browser.

I would highly recommend installing this (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=466858) application if you'd like more apps to rotate. I've tried all the available 'screen rotation' apps here at XDA, and in my opinion, it's by far the best to use, and by far the least complicated to set up ;)

If you want to manually rotate the screen, you can download Advanced Config, and set it to show orientation settings. Then after you soft-reset the device, <Rotate Screen> will be in the menu when you go into settings>buttons. Then you can set a button to rotate the screen.

Hope that helps :)
