Not sure what you mean, but Virtua Mouse will put a cursor on your phone you can move around with directional keys,

and GRemote is made so you can use the touchscreen like a mousepad (it will control your computer through bluetooth)

if your talking about using your light sensor as an optical mouse:

1- light sensor is really crappy and can barely tell the difference between pitch black and 1000 watts - so it could never be sensetive enough (also it senses light not movement)

2- that would mean dragging your phone across desk surfaces face down.... :S

i mean its like u scroll with [home] [send][back][end] ..with an app ( which i dont remember the name of) you most be able to move the mouse with it
like in the samsung omnia but they have a button for it

Are you kiddin with us or am I reading improperly?

The header of your post includes the term "light sensor"... and i could not "assemble" this light sensor into your virtual mouse...

FYI

Light:

Middle English, from Old English lēoht; akin to Old High German lioht light, Latin luc-, lux light, lucēre to shine, Greek leukos white

Date: before 12th century

1 a: something that makes vision possible b: the sensation aroused by stimulation of the visual receptors c: electromagnetic radiation of any wavelength and traveling in a vacuum with a speed of about 186,281 miles (300,000 kilometers) per second ; specifically : such radiation that is visible to the human eye

oh right i get it! you want to place a mouse cursor on the screen an control the cursor using the gsensor!

i think this would be difficult to use! and dont really see the point to it

nothing to do with light sensor then

put a cursor on the screen and control it with the center button's surface... isn't it capacitive as well?

so far best virtual mouse i've come across is this:

http://www.innovisoft.com/virtuamouse/overview.html

but i can confirm it Does Not work with g-scrolls swipe mechanism, may work with its tilt sensor (if is acts as hardware arrows rather than home, end, page up, page down) give it a try

personally i just have it set to my longpress send key, on the smallest setting, and just use the hardware arrows (luckily my diamond keypad isn't as spongy as my last 1) works amazing with remote desktop

if you use the trial and figure something out please post
