I'm not a techie, so I need a little help getting started with the ver mods that jesusfreke produces. I've rooted my G1 using the CoolPStuts videos, and have installed the auto rotate and multitouch updates. My question is, what do I need to do from here to be able to use the JFupdater on the marketplace and installing the JFv1.42 mod? From what I understand, the root process is the same, but I'm not sure how the other 2 mods may work with any additions. Do I just download the 1.42 update and Alt+L, Alt +S to patch?

Baseband: 1.22.12.29(I've downloaded the radio update, but wanted to wait to hear if there's anything else I need to do first.)

Would love to learn more about modding safely and have only read great reviews of the JF mods, so any help would be apreciated. If you could point me to some solid sites, I'd appreciate that also.
