Help I'm A Huge Noob!

Hello I'm a big fat noob. I was wondering if it was possible to just flash ANY old wm6 rom to my 8125 after I have taken all the steps in the newbies guide up to the point of flashing. The guide told me to pick a rom. Can I use any wm6 rom? I would really like something more touch, like a diamond rom or something with touchflow. I'm using a T-Mobile WM5 ipl/spl 3.08 as used as example in the guide. It'son a Cingular 8125. If I can flash just any rom and have it be compatible with my phone, does anybody know a good rom to use? Please help, as I said, I'm a noob.

You must choose a ROM that was designed for your specific device as the ROM's are device specific - Diamond ROM for Diamond - Vogue ROM for Vogue - Elf Rom for Elf - Etc.... get the picture.

OK, thanks alot, I would hate to brick my phone over a stupid mistake like that! Does anybody know of a good WM6 Touch-flow rom for an HTC wizard? I hate the interface with the stylus and would like something more like the large touch buttons and display styles of the Diamond is why I wanted that one. Like I said I'm a noob and just not sure what I can actually use on my 8125
