it would be help for others to help you if you state what rom you have loaded original or cooked. If you have installed hardspl and then downloaded a cooked rom from here or somewhere else then you might have advanced networking selected in the rom to switch it off and allow active sync to recognise it simply click start > settings > connections > usb to pc and untick it.

If its an original rom then you will have to state what it is that you have installed also state what software you have loaded on to it ,as some software to play silly buggers with active sync

Hello!

i've got the same Problem as the Threadstarter...

Ive loaded the following ROM:

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=458456
http://www.4shared.com/file/90040149/a7472809/GoldenGlobe_Black_GER_V10.html

(german version ;D)

now, i flashed successfully, (i believe without hardspl, as i wanted to flash hardspl it caused an error while flashing, so i tried without it.. (chosen Secure SPL in the flash-tool) )
After flash, the phone rebooted, and it didn't connect anymore -.-

the advanced networking also is switched off...

maybe i have to flash another one with the sd-card method...

xover§, talk about russian roulette...
Go to page 116, post 1160 of the Hard SPL thread in upgrading section. Instructions on how to install Hard SPL using the sd card method.
If you try to flash the Hermes without Hard SPL using the sd card method, be prepared for failure.....

Cheers... :D

As for active sync, have you upgraded your PC's .net framework to 3.5?
