This is amazing for a beta. Email works. texts work. Its all in english and looks really nice. Love the new icons. And unlike the previous taxist ROMs I can access phone settings and set the bands correctly. all around loving it so far.

Just flashed up from the TX 59 build, Very Nice work, One observation so far (has anyone else had a probelm with apps failing to install?) Resco Exp, Google Maps so far..

Just a question, are you using same bluetooth as your previous roms?

Taxist rom for 6.5 is efficient in my case due I have BT8010 headset and watch mbw150 in terms of quality sound and battery life.

My observations so far, everything looks great, about 80% on my commonly used apps get the "application install unsucessful" error, I have been having alot of system hangs (could be something I did install) I am on a x7500 (tried an extra HR just to be sure it was not a remnant from the flash) also updated radio from 1.57 to 1.58. Well that is the joy of beta testing :) I have always liked the Michy roms, This is only a 1st release and a very good one considering the work involved. (been running various wm6.5 builds on my Raph so I expect some bumps)

I too have the problems with installing any apps in cab form. I keep getting the "installation was unsuccessful" message....... hmm

THIS IS A BEST ROM BUT VERY VERY GOOD IN LOOKS ..

SOME PROBELMS BEEN CHECKD WITH THIS ROM,MENTIONED BELOW.

WINDOWS LIVE DOESNOT CONNECT : JUST LOGGED IN SHOWS AND ERROR DISPLAYS "THERES A CONNECTIVITY PROBLEM.MAKE SURE YOURE IN AN AREA WITH GOOD RECEPTION AND TRY AGAIN.

GOOGLE MAPS COMPRESSED VERSION DOENOT GET INSATLL ...

WINDOWS LIVE OTHER NON BETA .CAB SHOWS ERROR MESSAGE " DUE TO INSUFFICENT PREMISSON BY ROM FAIL TO INSTALL THIS VERSION '

FACEBOOK.CAB DOES GET INSTALL BUT icon DOESNOT SHOWS IN PROG.

INTERNET CONNECTION SEETINGS FOR GPRS AND EDGE CONNECTION HAS VERY BAD RESPONSE.

YOU TUBE DOESNOT DOWNLOAD ANY VIDEOS ONLINE JUST DOWNLOADING SHOWS.

ON hOME SCREEN RIGHT SIDE ICON OF BATTERY SHOWS ONLY CONNECTED.

MAIL SETUP DOESNOT TAKE WINDOWS LIVE CONNECTION.

THIRD PARTY APPLICATIONS LIKE :
DESTINATOR 6 DOESNOT GET INSATLLED.
ONLY TMC .CAB AND SLIDE PLAYER GETS INSTALL.

NON OF RESCO EXPLORER VERSION GET INSATLL ON THIS ROM.

ANY APPICATION GETS INSATLL WE HAVE ALWAYS REBOOT THE PHONE TO HAVE EFFECT.
EG. FROM HOME SCREEN UNTICK TITANIUM LOGO .

I THINK THERE SHOULD BE LOT WORK TO DO WITH THIS ROM..

HEY MICHY I MA SURE SOON WILL HAVE REALLY GOOD REALEASE FROM YOU ...

hey michy, thanks for coming through for us. i've been away from my computer for a couple days and was relieved tosee that you posted a beta.

a few things because i xan't type fast on the phone.

**out of all the apps i tried to install, only abiut 16% was successful. even my beloved touchpal didn't install, i got no other keyboard to install, mot even shape writer. the PHM keyboard included doesn't work (when enabled i had to change keyboard in settings then softreset). Um, anyone got a good skin for VGAKEY?

**the menu system is much slower now...

**I love that the honeycomb is much faster scrolling!

**IEmobile is much more stable, i actually haven't tried to install opera yet. the only thing it is missing right now is tabs and a larger buffer.

**titanium is more beautiful but seems a bit slower than the 59.

**the camera seems a little slower than 59 too, but somehow it is showing me that i have space for about 2000 more pictures (at 1m) than it did on 59. so its either this build handles images much better than previous or it's lying to me.

**on the today screen please change the left softkey to phone (minor issue)
*when i put the visor on time, only the hour is shown, the minutes shows like "...". eg. for 12:30am it shows like this "12:..."

**the dialer is much slower than 59.
*the call status screen is beautiful. (i wish the dialer looked like it)

**why does it always go back to the home screen after i select an app? can this be changed by reg?

any words or thoughts on why most cabs are uninstallable?

the problem with the time on today screen ks resolved: i fiddled with the time in region settings and it somehow made it work like it should.

Strange encounters from my device. :eek:

After flashed, couldn't get it to sync with pc.
even after untick advance in usb to pc.

Noted it never auto reset immediately at end of flashing,
others do.

After a few soft resets, device couldn't start up again.
Not possible from soft or hard reset. Only way is
to remove battery for several minutes, put it back and
then it will start up from power on. :(

Aware it is beta, just love to try it out.

13/3 update

After re-flashed by using SD card, device power up normally again.
The strange encounter I had was probably due to bad flashing.

Only thing now is unable to install program using cab or from pc.

There is a Sub menu app in michys roms that turns that on on 6.1 roms, I ont know about this one though.

There are some problems with some of the modules in the redist package if you swap it out with 21169's redist package you will fix the text and cab install issues but your sys version int the about screen will show 21169 that is what I am working on fixing at the moment

Nice Catch Lennie, Hope we can get a more stable build soon. The freeze ups and the install issues forced me back to the TX rom. I have been hoping for a new build for my Athena. I have been running all the Da_G builds on my Fuze thru 69 and each has had some nice improvements (Have not installed the 76 version on the Fuze)

I was able to install and uninstall Igo8 but it would not start.
With taxist rom ,Igo worked well but I couldn't connect to wifii ,but could with your rom
Interested in other peoples experiences.

I don't recall if TT would install on the 76 build, I am currently running the Taxist 59 Build and Have TT7 installed and is seems work fine (I also have the 1.58 radio installed on my Athena)

Michy, all,

Great release, at first it was running pretty smooth but after installing the quickgps cab from the diamond 2. It locks up after 30 seconds....
I'm goning to do a hard reset and check if that solves the problem :rolleyes:.
TT7 runs very smooth, no problems.
Windows live is not working out-of-the-box, is there a working wm6.5 cab availiable?

i am ported windows mobile 6.5 21198 vga from ppcgeeks to the glowfiish m800 mobile phone..

i have the same issues

1. cab installation broken
2. active-sync doesn't work

I’ve been reading a lot of good things about your work.
I am illiterate in the matter of flashing ROM, I have done it long time ago with an old Ipaq pda and most recently (but still few years ago) to a HP ipaq 6315but the RUU where the ones provided by HP, now days I have a HTC X7501 with nothing ever done to it (factory ROM), since all the good things I have read about, I wish to upgrade to your wm 6.5 ROM but everything seems complicated, I read and read as advised many times over on xda forums, but the more I read the more confused I get, so I was wandering if someone may find the time and patience to help me with the process.
Please bare with me, I don't know if this is improper because I know you do this to help, not for lucrative gain, but I am whiling to pay for this help because for me this device was a dream come true and would not want to do without.

p.s. if in some way a have offended you by offering to pay for the help, please forgive me, as stated before I am a illiterate even in the proper ways to ask for help in this forums.
