Ich kann mir nicht vorstellen, daß man beim installieren etwas falsch machen kann.Wenn kann es nur am Vista liegen.Doppelklick auf die .exe und dann kommt die Fehlermeldung nach einiger Zeit. Keine Ahnung woran es liegt.Es funktioniert devinitiv bei mir nicht.

Ich denke nicht das ich zu blöd bin zum Installieren.Wenn, kann es nur am Vista liegen.Habe es mehrmals versucht.beim Doppelklick auf die .exe kommt nach kurzer zeit eine Fehlermeldung.Nach dem Reset, der mir vorgeschlagen wird, kommt diese Fehlermeldung wieder.

irgendwie bekomme ich es nicht zum laufen.Kann man hier nicht ein komplettes Rom hochladen oder funktioniert das nicht mit dem auslesen eines kompletten Rom´s. Ich wäre echt sehr gern daran interessiert, wie das läuft.Wäre nett wenn Du mir vielleicht Dein komplettes Rom schicken könntest wenn es bei Dir komplett läuft.

versuche mal:
setze dein himalaya in bootmodus = druch gleichzeitiges drücken
austaste+stift in softreset+den mittigen steuerkreutz.
dann sollte beim hilalaya der bildschirm grau werden mit aufschrift seriel.
jetzt steckst du es in die station und dann den usb-stecker in dein pc.
wenn du jetzt 2 deutlich unterschiedliche töne vom pc hörst dann wird dein himalaya nicht richtig erkannt und deswegen bricht er die instalation ab.
abhilfe: versuche die anderen usb-buchensen, wenn das nicht hilft dann kannst du die alle usb-treiber im gerätemanager deinstalieren (auch wenn er meckert das es systemtrieber sind) und dann pc neu starten.
wenn du jetzt dein himalaya in usb einsteckst fargt er nach einem treiber.
den gibst du deinem pc.

info: in der grundversion sind die roms-versionen entsprechend der nummer änhlich, jedoch muß es immer auf das jeweilige gerät angepasst werden.
aber schau mal bei der diamond-sektion nach,
da sind ganz tolle ger-rom drinnen.

I just have one question:

After I installed the ROM on my XDA II the ROM was very slow, e.g at scrolling through Program List (After clicking the Start Button). But at my ROM which I have installed now (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=510805) my Device is very fast... Is it because higher Build Number?

Btw after I installed the German ROM I havent done a Hard Reset, all my Programs and so on were NOT deleted, I just forgot to make Hard Reset, maybe thats the Reason?

ich habe auf meinem Qtek 2020 zur Zeit installiert:
Von Efsane - WM 6.5 Professional CE OS 5.2.21169 (Build 21169.5.0.0 GER)

Meine Geräte Info jetzt:
ROM version: Himalaya_efsane WWE
ROM date: 01/23/09
Radio version: 1.18.00

Ich habe folgende Fehlermeldungen von Anfang an und nach jedem Softreset:

1. Handsfree.exe kann nicht geöffnet werden
2. Startkey.exe kann nicht geöffnet werden
3. IMStartup.exe kann nicht geöffnet werden
hinzu kommt noch, das ich meine Unterordner für Empfangene Mails nicht syncronisieren kann. Weder mit Vista bzw. XP

Liegt das an eine dieser Fehlermeldungen :confused:

Oder liegt das an meiner Radio ROM?
Ich hatte vorher die Radio ROM: 1.14.00 und habe diese auf 1.18.00 erneuert
das war glaube ich eine englische Himalaya Version - spielt das eine Rolle

Ich lese auch immer etwas von einer Version 1.72 Ger
aber wo finde ich diese?
muss es eine deutsche sein?
welche ist die aktuellste?
oder welche funktioniert am besten mit WM 6.5 Efsane

Falls alles nichts hilft:
wo bekomme ich die alte Radio ROM und WM 2003 wieder her?
bzw. kann ich den Urzustand wieder herstellen?

Hi, nice to see you here. It sounds like you didn`t do a had reset, or that there is not enough memory.
Did you unlock Extrom and extend the memory? I suggest: Read the stickies on that, and follow the instructions.
In case your problems are still there please try teijalk's 6.5 rom v3, it's amazing and should work like a charme.
Please keep english, or add google translation, as this is an english forum. Although the german fraktion is getting bigger! You can Personal Mail (PM) too, just just klick on a nickname and send your question in german language.

It runs very well but I've got 2 problems:
1 Problem: if the battery status goes below 40% my MDA2 makes a softreset and than every time it is started. When the battery is loaded over 40% there are no problems.
2 Problem: The icon "black bars" in the folder "einstellungen" makes my MDA2 busy for some seconds but nothing more happens.
Perhaps there is a connection between these two things.

1. Power consumption under WM6.5 is bigger than ever-your main battery is week! Change it, everything will be all right then.
2. After softreset look at the top and bottom! One time the bars are black, other times the background picture will shine through!
You might use this to cut down power consumption in idle mode.
