I Installed your v1.1 Heavy for Cricket WM6.1

I installed Olipro-240 and then loaded your rom. I had no problem everything worked. Then I decided to upgrade the radio to that new one 3.42.50.

I attempted to flash to the rom using formatted 1GB Kingston FAT32 and the bootloader would flash loading and would do nothing. So then I used Windows 7 when I was flashing this rom [via usb] however I had left advanced networking on so whenever I was installing from bootloader it would stop at 8 or 9% and reboot. "Unknown command" I think it said. This is where the problem started. I tried it on my XP SP3 machine it would also stop at the same percent and reboot.

I installed nuespl 2.47 and then installed the radio and your rom w/ no problem[via MicroSD]. However during calls my phone will reset randomly. Even when I flash back to the sprint factory rom it still reboots during calls.

Another issue I have is that when my phone goes into hibernation after 2m. It will not power on with the power button. I have to do a soft reset. I have to disable the power feature that turns off the monitor on my device. I have oxios so I dont believe its a memory issue. Can you share some advice on how to fix my phone or if it is bricked and i need to get another one.

I've spent about a 4 days straight trying to fix it and my GF is getting fed up w/ me on my phone so any help from anyone who knows what they are talking about is much appreciated

PS - the phone not turning on after hibernation was a problem my phone developed before flashing.

Flash another one of my ROMs that do not run Auto Customizations (anything but 1.1 and 1.5 heavy) and make sure to Hard Reset and Battery Pull for a few minutes after the flash. So flash the ROM, then when it reboots perform a Hard Reset, then when you reboot it, pull the battery for a few. Then boot up and see where you are at. Hope this helps.

I am trying what you posted. What do you think caused this? I also downgraded my radio back to to 3.42.02 because thats what it was when it was working good. So that makes me think maybe there is something else I am missing.

Ok did what you said but its still restarting. Also what I am noticing is that when it comes back on I do not have a instant signal like usual. It takes anywhere from 2-10 minutes to get one. It did this with both radios 3.42.02 and 3.42.50.

I am using 2.0 Heavy. Any more ideas?

I assumed it was my phones issue, but I see when i go into the network setting it says Driver is not loaded.

When you have a possible issue with the software provided in a Multi-ROM, Multi-Carrier thread you want to list exactly which version of software you are running. Especially when I have 85 different ROMs and never had anyone say anything about the Wi-Fi saying "driver not loaded". Example of what to list is Sprint 2.2 Heavy.. I can guess its at least a Heavy ROM because of the edit "deletion" of your post in my Light thread.

I'm pretty sure there is only one version (barring different carriers) of the latest 6.5 heavy rom, but to be specific it's the RMcarrierlessTitanWM65V2.1Heavy.

Also I'm running v2.4 of Oilpro, or at least I was when I installed the rom. However now when I press Camera+Power+Reset, it just resets.

Actually my Latest 6.5 ROMs are build 21885 which are Versions 3.1 and 3.2.. 2.1 and 2.2 (what you are using) are my original 6.5 ROMs from months ago. And wi-fi most definately works on those. Did you hard reset and then battery pull for a minute after the flash? If not do that.

To get into bootloader hold in Power and Camera and then while holding those press the reset for a second and release all buttons. If it still doesnt work might want to boot up into windows mobile and ensure that your Power and Camera buttons are functioning.

as far i know is the different build version. what is build version for? it is the same like service pack in windows?

Builds get leaked often and generally offer some sort of benefit, but may also introduce new bugs and/or remove features. Some are convinced builds are leaked purposefully by MS for folks like Ryan to find & fix bugs and for us to serve as beta testers. 20275 is a known good build, 21055 is pretty much the latest for 6.1 and wouldn't be released by Ryan unless he was convinced it was worthy. I'm not aware of any significant difference between the two, other than the assumption that "newer is better".

Manila 2.5 and equivalent are TouchFlo3D.. Meant for WVGA and VGA devices. There is no TouchFlo2D or Manila 2D version of what you are requesting for QVGA bud.. And it appears to be just like the Manila 2D that I use in my 1.5 and 3.0 heavy ROMs just with some more tabs and goodies. Mine also works partially in landscape just havent had time to mess around and get more tabs to work.

Appreciate everything you do and have done, reading through all of your guides and posts have helped me tremendously, I just got a TP in July 2009 and have now graduated to TP2 that I fully flashed to Cricket using mostly your posts and guides.
Anyways I have noticed something on both TP1 and TP2 any Rom I have ever used, if I install ypour Wap mms carrier cab after I have installed a custom taskbar (or if it comes cooked in the rom) the custom battery, evdo, and or somtimes signal icon get reverted back to the standard stock icons that come on the stock rom, have you heard of this from anyone else? or know what causes that to happen? I work around it just by installing your cab 1st usually, but like I said if the taskbar comes cooked in the rom I cant use your cab or im stuck with Custom taskbar with staock battery icon.
I could also really use your help with my MMS, I just for the life of me cant get it going on my TP2, all else works great just cant send receive MMS.

After few weeks using 21055 carrierless ver 1.5, i got some issues, and it come after i soft reset my hset.

1. when i'm try using opera browser i got error " couldnt established internet interpreter.Connection Line : Connect ("The Internet")
2. My email setting, 3 email accounts suddenly disappeared
3. Setting for Data connection disappeared also.

What do u think, it cause by viruses or bug ?
Need ur advice before i flash / change other RM ROM :D

The long post is fine. Yes my Carrier CABs as well as my Arcsoft WAP and MMS CABs use the overridevzw.dll which originally I thought was needed to operate on Cricket. Might only be with the Mogul but I wasnt sure. I figured better safe then sorry. Well that dll replaces the registry location for resover bitmap base dll. That is whats messing up your custom taskbar. I was going to see if not including that dll would still work on Cricket if you want to be the tester. You would have to hard reset and then follow my instructions but I am fairly certain I could get WAP and MMS to work on your TP2. I have helped others recently with that same thing. I recent bought a used Sprint Mogul to replace my Instinct. I flashed version 3.1 Heavy CE OS 5.2.21501 (Build 21501.5.3.00).

This is my first experience with Window Mobile. I really like this version over the stock ROM but I'm having a few issues and also a couple questions.

1. I don't know if it's me of my phone by I can't get my Mogul to see my Samsung stereo bluetooth headphones. Bluetooth is on, but it doesn't detect it.

3. Can the text of the items on the Today page be made larger? Can I add/remove items on the today page?

Every time I turn the phone on, I have to go through the setup procedure again, screen alignment, email setup, personalization, etc. Do you have any idea what could be causing this behavior and what I can do to fix it? ok so while playing in my registry i noticed the guardian file registry entry under htc, i know in ur wap mms thread you said this needs to be removed, can i just delete the value in my registry or do i need to run ur cab? might this be the only thing screwing up my mms? sorry post this here i didnt want to jumping around different threads on u, let me know if u or modws want me to switch this convo to ur wap mms thread, tried pming u not sure if u ever got them. thanks again.

Just switched to 6.5 heavy 2.1

and there are a couple of quirks,

1. leaks memory like crazy!! after 4 hours I am down to 6megs (nothing installed, nothing running exept what was in the ROM)

2. after setting up e-mail for my yahoo and hotmail. I unlock the phone and e-mail inbox pops up. I am randomly in any part of the settings menu and the mail program will pop up over top of it.


separate note (don't think it's rom related) -> I have the phone locked and in my pocket and it will turn off, and be unresponsive untill I pull the battery. any ideas?

I've been using V3.2 on the used mogul I picked up to replace my stupid Instinct. I'm really enjoying it. Great Work! I'm just curious if you will be working on a rom based on WM 6.5.3? I've read that it's a bit more finger friendly, which would be nice given the mogul's small screen. The Start menu and the task bar icons are a bit small for my fingers. They're certainly usable, but the drop-down icons of 6.5.3 look like they would be nicer.

JUst wanted to let you know I located that override verizon dll you mentioned in your previous post to me and using total commander removed it from windows and im happy to report that I no longer have problems with my battery icon, nor do i have any adverse issues from removing it. so your suspicions were right about not needing it at least for my device, only thing is i havent figured out the htc messaging mms prob, although the communities ggetting really bclose to a fix for allcarriers.

If you are using 3.42.30 or 3.42.50 radio they both have the battery drain problem on the Titan. It is not the software (ROM). Trust me on that.

Ryan, Seem to be having a problem with bluetooth...was pairing and working fine before ROM install...Now in order to pair, I have to reset phone. all the info is the sa,=me, but reset is required whether i pair with my car or headset. Anything you are aware of on this? Also, seems that by battery drain was slightly improved by new battery, but what radio do you recommend to stop battery drain issue?

Ryan, im using your WM6.5 (21222), i notice my free ram is only at about 5-7% , using the mogul with a 4G SDcard in it, anyway to customize this a bit to use less ram, or a link to a bit more in depth explaination of the changelog so to speak, mayeb something i can figure out here, just seems like going from app to app, or phone to app, something get laggy, i had a call get stuck, had to hard reset to end the call. any ideas?

Thats good, glad that worked for you. I dont have any problems with MMS and a fix for all carriers, uhh yea right. There are so many differences between each of the Carriers that would take so long to do and get perfect. Even when something gets figured out a Carrier will change something on their end. Just search for and look at all the changes Metro PCS has gone through, and Sprint. They love to be a thorn in developers sides.

Being in Indonesia, it's possible your phone needs carrier customizations not available in this thread, it's entirely up to you to find that out. It may be a good idea to ask whoever flashed your phone last time.

Also, getting manila working right can take a lot of effort, so you should direct further questions about it to wherever you got manila from.

when i click start,and then i choose/click some software (example: resko),when i close the software (example: resko), i should click the start again if i wanna choose another software.

are the any software that can make the start will always show when i choose/click some software....

cause it will waste my time, when i choose a wrong software,and then i close it,and i should click the start again,and scroll the menu again...Well, the options I'm aware of are:
1) Show more items per page (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=589380) in the start menu (less scrolling for what you want)
2) Rearrange items in the start menu by clicking & holding the item you want to move. Either it will give you the option to "move to top" or hold & drag to the location you want (click & drag may only be available in newer & less stable 6.5 versions, not sure)
3) Use File Explorer to move favorite apps out of folders into the base start menu (navigate to Windows > Start Menu)
4) Research & try the "favorite applications" type modifications for Titanium, may be somewhat difficult to get working
5) Maybe try QuickMenu, which is sort of like the old start menu & you could list favorites in it, not sure how it works with 6.5.

I have next to zero experience with any of these, so if you need help with any of them you'll have to ask in their respective threads, etc.

Looking to give my phone a new look and better gps.
my gps is slow and sometimes doesn't even find a satellite.

Mostly use phone for
stereo bluetooth and windows media.
phone and camera with storage card.
pull down e-mail via yahoo.
sync with outlook.

I think I have the Verizon MR1 but not the MR2 release. I was figuring if I am going to go through the effort to go with MR2 I might as well check what you had to say before I did anything.

I am not a real techie but I was able to get my gps temporarily working with a valhalla type of gps that was out there at one time. (I did donate to that post ) But then verizon did something to slow or minimize my access.


Any suggestions. Also if you could provide me a link with the zip file that has the instructions and files needed.

You are using themes for an older version of manila 2d. The version in my 2.0 and 3.0 ROMs is 1_00_19111733_00.

Ryan, thanks for that info, i checked a few things out, all the settings are correct, my issue is with my spc (?) not being all 000000. i know the MSL but have yet to be able to get it back to all 0's. Would say i tried everything however, had i, it would be working. The only thing NOT working at this point is the Wireless Web on Data Connection. I have the data plan, i have everything cricket has to offer at this point. I cant dial *2/*228 to program because of the MSL im assuming, but everything else took fine. Any ideas? (I will repost in a new thread if need be. )

i'm using v3.0 heavy and i'm having issues with SMS notifications. it won't make a sound nor give me any sort of notification that a text was received unless i soft reset. then it works for awhile and starts doing it again. any idea?

p.s. i have messed with the notification options and changed the sound. no go.
p.p.s. it's only sms notifications. email and phone notifications work fine when this happens

I have your Version 3.1 Heavy (WM 6.5) *Default Titanium* install for Alltel. I am having some issue with installing other Titanium plugins, they won't show up. Can you tell me which .cpr file you are using for Titanium so I can manually edit it to force the plugins to show.

I have figured out which titanium cpr file you are using, its the TitaniumExtended. My problem is when I use CHome Editor it changes the Titanium cpr file and therefor TitaniumExtended won't pick it up unless I copy the contents of Titanium over the top of TitaniumExtended. Ryan or can anyone else assist with how to easily change the cpr file WM 6.5 is using?

Email (pop3, exchange,gmail) works great on cricket using proxycap. See the post on Howard Forums/Cricket/pda's for a full writeup on ut.

I'm not sure if this distro is now dead/unsupported but just tried it out and I really like, but I have one problem. I can't turn my wifi off. I turn it off and it comes back in a matter of seconds. A big drain on battery life. Does anyone know if there's a setting or something I'm missing? This is happening straight after I flashed rom 3.0 heavy onto a Sprint phone.

EDIT: Never mind, duh. Just got the phone yesterday and didn't realize the little switch on the left was JUST for wifi. Toggle that off and wifi goes off.

Sorry for the noobness. I am used to Kasier, and Tp2 flashing. My friend wants me to flash a rom on his sprint Mogul.

I am having problems finding for sure the olipro needed, and radio. On the kasier/tp2 flash pages, most everyone has direct links. I found a link that says it's for Olipro, the Folder is Hard-Spl-MEG.zip. Maybe it's the same thing, but I would like to know for sure. And then where to get the radio needed.

I would like to put on his Mogul your Build 21055 V3. As he he liked the manila on my kaiser, and yours looks the best.

I have to make sure I get it right the first time, and everything works great, as I am leaving the country soon, and he will be left with whatever I flash.

OK I tried to follow what it said, but after olipro I am now stuck in bootloader. I formatted the SD card to fat 32, but when I try to load it it just simply says loading, then goes right back to the bootloader screen. Soft reset does not permit me to leave

NM I found post stuck in bootloader, and got it worked out

First let me say thanks to Ryan mogul i have used a bunch of his roms and he is the man on a titan. Second Does anyone have any good roms for a touch pro on metro pcs I tried pm Ryan but haven't gotten a response So far its a stock sprint rom and i hate it tried mightyrom its ok dont get me wrong way better than stock. But after using ryan's roms for so long i was hoping he had some out there for the touch pro

everything works wonders except MMS. When I send it, the receive does not get it. I can receive MMS as a text message from 9000 and given a link to then picture.

I was wrong - Ryan has the carrier built in the Rom. If you follow the instructions make sure you unlocked the phone, and that your Radio version is the minimum. If you need more help check the post where someone asked about a tutorial - it helped me out to get things done right.

Try this, this is taken from my Arcsoft Hybrid CAB thread (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=7430549&postcount=80). Follow the instructions for the reg entries and tell me when you end up getting it working. I will then ask that you send me a copy of your "Arcsoft" keys and strings from the registry.

hi Ryan, I use your TintanRelocker.exe then My HTC 6800 seem to loose SPL 2.4 and be locked with the 3 colour screen:

I tried to use ROMUpdateUtility to Flash the Offical ROM (alltel) but I failed.

Is there any other way to flash my machine (for eg flash from SD card or any other else)
