Ryan Moguls Heavy WM6.1 and WM6.5 Multi-Carrier ROMs
Make sure you know what you are doing before you attempt to flash a Custom ROM onto your device!!
As long as you have the unlocked bootloader (olipro 2.40) and a official sprint GPS enabled radio (3.35 and higher) then make sure your PST settings are set right for YOUR CARRIER you will have ZERO problems with these ROMs!
All the ROMs have NueKernel and except the Carrierless are already programmed for WAP/MMS settings and do not need touched.
Here is a link to my Cricket PST settings thread (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=492824)
Here is a link to my HTC Unlock Directory and GPS Radios (http://www.4shared.com/dir/13899878/aef6ea49/HTC_to_Windows_Drivers__Unlock_Tools.html)
These are my Heavy ROM's for Light refer to the Light ROM thread (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=496982)
When you flash the ROM (Must be named RUU_signed.nbh for RUU utility flashing and have the memory card removed OR it could be named TITAIMG.nbh for memory card 2gb and below FAT32 blank formatted card flashing).
After flashing you have to activate the Internet (data connection) the first time while the phone is unplugged.
Here is an software list of most of whats included in my Heavy Versions: (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=5004083&postcount=692)
Here is a list of Optional software (freeware) for extra Customization: (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=5004023&postcount=405)
Each Version is listed and has Screenshots and Carrier choices under it. Click the proper Carrier to download the ROM, they are links.

Here are some of the customizations:
Page Pool Info: <--After flashing I recommend a hard reset and a battery pull for 1 minute.
My ROMs flash new Boot Screens and for 6.1 a Start-up animation: <--You will like bootscreens that my ROMs come with.
Sounds and Notifications already set: <--Everything is all set up I included a lot of sounds and ringers as well. Sound for Missed calls etc.. is set to my famous "Trumpet" sound that is nice and loud you will like. Also its set to flash the lights for messages, missed calls, and reminders. The ringer is set to Vibrate and Ring by default *WM 6.1 versions, and Ring by default *WM 6.5 versions, and a Normal Windows ring, you can change that to whatever you want but I recommend leaving everything else at what it is set at.
Keyboard auto suggest on and lag and delay gone: <--I have it set so that in 3 letters it will suggest 4 different words, also it puts a space at the end of each suggested word. It also Capitalizes the first word of a sentence. If keyboard repeat rate is a little slow then turn off Auto Suggest and it will be fast as can be.
Power settings: <--I fine tuned this so that screen dims in 30 seconds on battery and 1 minute on charger. It will go into standby in 2 minutes on battery and 2 minutes on charger. The keyboard backlight will come on and stay on for 30 seconds if no keys pressed. I have all the Power savings features ON by default except AsyncMac1 and SDCARD. Here are the locations and how to change them.
Value "DisablePowerManagement"
1 = Power Savings OFF
0 = Power Savings ON
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Comm\L2TP1\Parms
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Comm\PPTP1\Parms
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Comm\AsyncMac1\Parms
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Comm\Irsir1\Parms
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Drivers\SDCARD\ClientDrivers\Cl ass\SDMemory_Class *Disabling power management will make the device wake up faster. It also may eliminate some problems with programs installed to storage card etc..
Visual Settings: <--Cleartype is on for both Portrait and Landscape as well as Internet Explorer. Bottom softkeys for today my custom name (WM 6.1 versions) MailboX and RoladeX!
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Color
BaseHue = dword hexidecimal value A1 will get you the Black top and bottom bars.
Cache Settings: <--I set Glyphcache to 16384, FATFS cache enabled set to 1 and set to 4096 and also replstorecachesize to 4096 all these tweaks speed up phone and memory card performance. You can change these in registry to default values (glyph 8192, FATFS cache set to 0 and enabled set to 0, replstorecachesize set to 0) if the phone needs a little more free RAM. I like speed. *WM 6.1 versions only
Messaging and Connections settings: <--Please do not mess with these as they are fine tuned for YOUR CARRIER!! It will always work perfect for you if you leave it alone I cant be responsible if anyone changes anything. If you have fallen victim to the WAP type bug (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=3815864&postcount=218) this link will explain what happened and how to fix it.
Button Settings: <--All these are stock with the exception of the Voice recorder button on left side of phone. I have that set single press Uses Voice Command and press and hold to turn on a FLASHLIGHT!
Enjoy, and be safe!! Dont drink and flash!!

Ryan Mogul's Cricket Titan WM 6.1 ROM Version 1 (Heavy)
Hey everyone, I apologize for the Kitchen that I released before that caused people(me as well) problems. I have successfully merged Titan Reloaded 1.3.4's WM 6.1 base(way more stable than PPC kitchens builds/bases) into PPC kitchen and edited it to be so easy and fully functional for CRICKET!
I have tried their bases to build a custom ROM and it always ended up buggy no matter what edits or fixes I attempted. I exhausted myself trying then I used Titan reloaded's 1.3.4 WM 6.1 ROM saw how sweet and stable it was. It has touchflo(manila 2d) that looks amazing so I dumped it (do not try using PPC kitchen with custom dump files as it is ALOT harder than you think, you will waste a lot of time and grief) and added the dump for use in the PPC Kitchen which is ends up being an amazing combination. I then re-provisioned(ROM was originally tweaked for sprint) and edited the crap out of the registry to make the ROM fully customized, fast, and unlocked so to speak so that I can cook it for use with any Carrier. You are able to change carriers as well if you know how to delete some reg entries and install another carrier cab. If you don't want to attempt that just post in here and I will cook a ROM for you for your own carrier and will place it on this thread! I will be adding a huge list of optional items to be cooked into other ROM's let me know if you like this first release and I will see what I can do.
Can You make one custom for me I'm on metroPCS. Can you add the MetroPCS startup sound and animation. Also, for some reason Youtube app will not work for me on any of the roms that i have used in the past with metroPCS.

Hey, I will try to get that ROM posted, but for now I have to catch up on about 2 weeks of sleep. Metro PCS is the only CDMA carrier I didnt account for but for now this is the only CDMA carrier I cannot easily make a custom rom for. I will look into it though man, you have my word. The YouTube probably just needs my tweaked CDMA version. I can CAB it up and you can try it see what happens, I will post that sometime this afternoon. Take care.

Looks good Ryan. I was one of the ones that tried the older kitchen at PPCGeeks I believe and it just would not start up....
I am a Metro customer, so I too would like to have a ROM for metro with Arcsoft installed for MMS.
Good job for keeping at it...
NOW GET SOME SLEEP so you can work on METRO....

As far as releasing my kitchen files. No, not yet. Its a lot harder than one would think, I have specific personal OEM's that cook the ROM to adjust provisioning and registry at the end of the process. You also have to know how to delete from the kitchen as some items are duplicates because there are modules in the base that are the same or similar. It takes a lot of patience not just copy paste. You have to know the process and workarounds like the back of your hand.
I also forgot to mention one thing. I want to make sure you guys know that if your extended ROM has a bunch of IOTA, Re-Provisioning, and Carrier Customizations that when you flash my ROM it runs Customizations. That may mess up ability to use on Cricket which you probably know. If you use the method of soft resetting to cancel the AutoRun Customizations(all it installs is new google maps that works with touchflo and manila 2d it self).
Those cabs can be found in the windows directory and installed after skipping the customizations! Hope this helps!
Other solution is unlock the extended rom and delete everything in there first!! Then let the ROM install as it should customizations and all.
Here is a Cab I made for people that like Voice Speed Dial, make sure to soft reset after installing as it installs a start up file. This will show up in programs and can be assigned to a button or add it to your programs widget. This is also uninstallable. I will be including this in all future ROMS, I didnt include because I dont use it but I like it so I will. Enjoy!

Make sure your extended ROM has no Carrier Auto RUNS in it! What you should do is hard reset and let it install. Then when it says this device will auto customize in 3 seconds hurry up and soft reset using the stylus in the bottom hole of the phone. That will prevent it from running your Carrier cabs hidden in extended ROM. Now you have to make sure your Data settings are set right in PST(hdr user, hdr ppp etc..) so you authenticate, also your M.I.P settings have to be set to Simple IP only, and only have Default Profile active, with the other 5 M.I.P profiles to disabled. You have to have settings right... You can then navigate to windows folder on phone and install Manila 2d cab, its in there look around, and google maps if you want. then goto internet explorer and navigate to real webpage, then blah blah blah, read my thread it will explain most of this.
To access PST with my ROM turn smart dialing off from phone dialer then dial ##778 call. then goto edit and enter six 0's
The ROM is perfect if your PST settings are correct and you dont have Carrier Customizations hidden in your Ext ROM, and if you have carrier things in there it can still be perfect, just follow my instructions... lookup how to unlock your ext rom and delete everything in there if need be.
RyanMogul
13th March 2009, 08:50 PM
After you have the ROM all set up and everything is working you may notice that the internet doesnt work when plugged into your computer.
Go to Start bar/settings/connections tab/connections settings/advanced tab/ click select networks. Now see the pull down menus? Select the top pull down and make it say My Work Network, and the bottom one Cricket.
There Internet should now work perfect using your Computers connection when connected to it, and work perfect when not connected to computer using Crickets WAP.
Try different combinations to achieve the desired results depending on how and what you are using the PPC to connect to.

Ok,
Seems like i have a weird problem. I am hoping maybe some others are experiencing same or similiar problems with their phone and rom.
I was using reloaded 1.3.4 Rom on sprint everything is working good. I flashed my phone to metropcs, verified my service was connected properly. verified that my esn matched the phone. seem like so far soo good. I managed to get the WAP working with metropcs seems like everything is good. I can pull up webpages, google maps, weather update. then the next morning i try to connect to wap ( please note i haven't changed any settings since last time i successfully connected to the wap connection, and Yes i did call to verify that my internet plan was still active.) I can't seem connect to the wap connection.
So i proceed to reflash to this rom thinking that i had a bad flash causing some random instablility. After flashing seems like everything is good again voice, text all working still. so I check the espt to make sure my metro setting are still there. Config my network setting for metro again. now i can connect to the wap but i get an error message when trying to open web pages. Also no weather updates...etc...
" Error: Requested content 'www.google.com' cannot be accessed. you do not have access to the site."
seems like its a proxy setting issue but i have checked an rechecked my settings.
Also now when i connect to activesync i can't get internet connection thru activesync. =(
Any one have any ideas? Seems like a strange intermittent issue

Yes, but my Sprint ROM has the Carrier cab already embedded in it, just make sure you know about the hidden extended ROM warning and flash my sprint rom. Let it do its thing and when its all done go to internet explorer and navigate to a real page and follow directions remember to save password if that applies.
You may have to do some edits man, this will help you get started as I only have Cricket to test with and be sure works perfect. Hope all goes well

Just install this cab I made and it will create shortcuts to Diag Mode(DmRouter), Debug(Fieldtrial), and PST(EPST). The shortcuts will be in Programs, Diagnostic folder
Works out well now you can put smart dial back on.
You dont have to soft reset, just remember to install to device memory.
Here is also 2 CAB's I made that install a large digital clock today plugin, and a voicemail today plugin. These are meant for use when you have TouchFlo disabled. Enjoy

I am going to work on a Hot Fix CAB for my sprint ROM that will fix that issue. I just need to know the steps you took to see if it worked.. Also did you activate your Data Connection and see that it works? So answer if you have internet and it functions, and anything you might of tried changing to get it working. I then will release the CAB to fix those problems for all "Ryan Mogul SPRINT ROM users as it will adjust values for the MMS composer installed on my ROM".
EDIT: Sprint does not support Picture Mail anymore so any workarounds I try probably will not work. I work miracles though so we will see.

So your internet works? Well then the save password thing doesnt happen with Sprint and thats ok. Ok I will post one CAB to try and if that doesnt work we will try the one I made. Let me know if your Internet on Phone at least works, and text, calls etc..
Here is a cab to try, install to device memory. just remember to soft reset.

Hey from what I hear Sprint doesnt support Picture mail anymore, so here is another CAB you can try that I made, maybe it will work around it? Just make sure to uninstall that first cab Sprint MMS.cab(if you installed it from a couple posts ago), and soft reset. Then install my SprintArcsoft CAB(from this post) and soft reset, and give it a try.. If it doesnt work hopefully just uninstalling the CAB will put it back to normal, try a normal text see if it works, but if not then a hard reset may be in your Future..

Sorry bud, the cab is there in the first page like you said. It not working for Verizon? Well that is not my problem. I dont work on Verizon I also never claimed the Youtube CAB would work for such and such carrier. It works fine for Cricket users and on my ROM and thats what I made it for. It may be your data connection isnt activating, or something but I dont know so post these questions elsewhere as this is a Thread about MY Cricket ROM.

I've tried a number of roms, all of which have failed to properly run the YouTube app. The only rom I found with a working youtube app on VZW's network is the Titan Reloaded M2D. There is a thread for that rom. As Ryan said, his rom is developed for Cricket users.

Yea deeznuts your right man, I am sorry for the attitude to you both(thebest1, and deeznuts). I have had a bad last night and today and sorry for showing it in my postings. I guess I get frustrated when someone tries something that it wasn't meant for and when it doesn't work they come to me.. Ya know. Its cool though.
What you could try, thebest1, is downloading other Youtube Cabs, just make sure to uninstall the one that isnt working for you first.

Ok,
Seems like i have a weird problem.
Seems like a strange intermittent issue
no that is normal with metroPCS

Here is my Version 1.1 Heavy For Sprint
I have done a lot of edits on this in an attemp to get MMS to work, just make sure Internet is setup and functioning before trying to send or receive a MMS.
Otherwise Calls/Text and WAP should work. Let me know if MMS works, that would be great.
Download now and post your comments here is fine just specify which version of ROM you are talking about.
Ryan Mogul's Sprint TITAN ROM version 1.1 Heavy (http://www.4shared.com/file/95407343/e5e8e6b1/RMsprintTitanV11H.html)
I also added Sprint TV to the sprint Heavy Version.
Edit: 04/01/09<--And NO this is not a April Fools Joke LOL, I have updated the ROM with these registry edits but If you downloaded my Sprint ROM before and noticed Email isnt working right change these registry keys from 0 to 1 otherwise downloading from now on has the edit fixed.
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\OEM\WAPPUSH]
"WAPPUSH Mode"=dword:00000001
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\PhoneExtendFunction \CDMA]
"Internet"=dword:00000001
This is the only thing I could find that may be causing it! Make sure the value is 1 just like with wap push mode. soft reset and give it a try, u may have to delete the hotmail account and retry.
Edit: I cooked the ROM with these changes and updated the links, they need to be set to 1 anyways as per Sprints Carrier CAB.
BIG THANKS to: BumRush37, for helping with BETA testing and suggestions on this ROM!

big up Ryan, i installed the ROM for cricket and i usually let customization run for obvious reason, is there a way to still uninstall M2DC 0.29.235 after customization? thanks
RyanMogul

Yes Manila 2d can be uninstalled (takes awhile) its in there called Marks M2D Theme (named like that to deter from uninstalling). You can also skip the Auto Customizations so that Manila never does not get installed. If you would want to install what was skipped later, there is GoogleMaps.cab and Manilla2dMark.cab in windows folder on device memory. The only thing you cant remove is M2DC which is the Manila Customizer.

In this version works the EPST Mode and DMR mode??
RyanMogul
31st March 2009, 05:46 AM
FYI, In all my versions EPST and DMR work. You just have to know how to launch them.
EPST is ##778 Call button, or my Diagnostic Shortcut in my ROM's named PST(EPST)
DMR(Diag Mode) is ##3424 Call button, or my Diagnostic Shortcut named Diag(DmRouter)
Debug Mode(Fieldtrial) is ##33284 Call button, or my Diagnostic Shortcut in my ROM's named Debug(FieldTrial)
My Diagnostic Shortcut CAB enables you to leave smart dial on, and not have to fumble with dialer codes to access the programming modes.
Here is a link to my Diagnostic Shortcuts CAB for use on my ROM (http://www.4shared.com/file/94425378/2fa9fca5/RyanMogul_Diagnostic_Program_Shortcuts.html)
While I am in here posting. I have modified a Manila 2D landscape mode FIX! This is for users of MY ROM running Manila 2D. This enables you to keep Manila 2D on while using Landscape Mode! It uses mortscript and there is a little delay switching modes but its worth the wait! I modified this version for use on my ROM and edited some icons and text. This is only 500k and is not the entire Manila 2D.
It is meant to be installed on a ROM that has Touchflo 2D(Manila2d)
Only thing I noticed with this is if you are not using manila 2d (so normal today mode) and you switch to landscape the fixed manila landscape mode will open. Then when you go back to portrait it will start up manila 2d and goto home screen. You have to go into settings/today/items tab and uncheck touchflo to use normal today screens(no touchflo). Then make sure to soft reset (dont try normal today screen landscape mode yet) and when it boots back up you can use Normal Today MODE, but soon as you go into settings/today/items and check Touch FLO again you will back to touch flo with fixed landscape mode. I am still working on more skins for this Manila 2D Landscape FIX.
Edit: Fixed version up so normal today can be used without uninstalling landscape fix!
So to sum it up when this is installed to use Touchflo(manila 2d) with fixed Manila Landscape, just simply Check Touch Flo in start/settings/today/items tab.
To use Normal Today Mode(no manila 2d) goto start/settings/today/items tab and uncheck TouchFlo, you can pick other today items just dont pick RLplugin(thats the fixed manila 2d landscape mode) or Touchflo.
Good thing I made the CAB uninstallable so if you dont like it just uninstall!
EDIT: I was told the Manila 2d landscape fix drains the battery. I am doing work on the mortscript file that is in startup. When I have it fixed i will update the CAB.
I never noticed it on my phone but I also have the ext battery. I examined the mortscript file and it is because of a while command that is linked to a process that is always running. That is what is draining the battery, and thankfully has not been slowing the phone down. So uninstall the manila landscape fix cab until I have it fixed!
If you like Touchflo though, you will be using this..

thanks Ryan for all your help, each prl used is stuck on roaming network even when i flash back to sprint stock ROM, please any idea on how to completely revert back to factory setting/ stock ROM thanks
I have no comments on this since I have already answered every possible question this person Oyebee has asked me from Private Messages. Here are copies of the messages sent/received IN ORDER from our very first PM.
3/17/09 12:57AM sent from OyeBee hey Ryan , I'm pretty familiar with flashing my wing phone as I've done a thousand times lol, but times are hard and am giving up my wing to sign up with cricket wireless,i bought an htc mogul phone online , it was already flashed to work with cricket wireless, but i just downloaded your heavy ROM fro cricket wireless, i have 2 ? 4 u. one do i need @ least a 2gig SD card as i currently have 1 gig from my wing, and secondly how do i flash this ROM? any help will be appreciated, thanks buddy and please keep up the good work.
3/17/09 1:10AM sent by MEFirst make sure your phone has an unlocked bootloader on the device?(olipro 2.40, or nuechem 2.47) You also have to make sure you have a GPS enabled radio(3.35 and up) Then you need to format the 2gb or less storage card to FAT32, Then put my Cricket ROM on the card, no folder or anything just on the root. Rename it to TITAIMG.nbh Make sure you put card in phone Now press power button + camera + reset(hole in bottom of phone press with stylus) and that will put it in bootloader mode. It will detect the .nbh file and ask if you want to flash and to press power button. Let it do its thing.. All done.
3/20/09 12:21AM sent by OyeBeethanks ryan, am sending u some donation next week for sure, but in the mean time i need your help. my phone is totally stuck on the red green blue and white screen. ist says tita100 spl-2.47nochem titan spl evt cpld-9, i try rest but it keep coming back to this page, it won't boo up, i need ur help
3/20/09 12:41AM sent by MEDid you make sure you have a GPS radio before flashing a WM 6.1 ROM? If you do have a radio 3.35 and up then you have to search for how to get out of a Stuck Bootloader.. You can try pulling the battery for a minute or so and then power on and put in bootloader, wait a sec or two then plug it into your (freshly restarted) computer and try flashing the ROM you tried again. If that doesnt work you can try the Micro SD flashing method. Worst case scenario you have to get out of a Stuck Bootloader first then start over.
3/20/09 12:56AM sent by OyeBeethanks buddy i just found a way out of that mess whew!!, now am copying to flash image from phone
3/24/09 12:12AM sent by OyeBeei went through all the setup with your rom, when i updated the prl am not sure what happened, after rest now i get no signal as in in continues to search for network, then i choose the other prl it took me to the verizon network when i dialed .228, and idea on how to rectify this will be appreciated. thanks men
3/24/09 12:21AM sent by MEBe more specific, what version of my ROM? cricket, verizon etc.. Then I can help you, if its cricket just make sure a cricket PRL is on your memory card then access PST. Update the PRL to the cricket prl you saved to card. Let it restart then when it boots open phone dialer and dial *228. Make sure you are getting good reception first. Let it do its thing and restart. If you arent getting reception then after updating the PRL manually program the settings like in my PST settings thread. After all thats done I recommend doing a hard reset, and if you have CRAP in your EXT ROM make sure to skip customizations. Hope I helped you.
3/24/09 12:23AM sent by MEYou also have to make sure your SPC code is six zeros for the *228 to work. I dont know if you know that.
3/24/09 12:36AM sent by OyeBeethanks 4 your prompt response , i have your cricket rom, when i first installed it it had sprint sevice, then i went through your pst setting line by line, i used the qpst configuration and after changing something in the roam tab i think i mistakenly changed the preffered roaming by browsing and selecting one of the prl file and now i have the phone constantly searching for network.
3/24/09 8:26PM sent by OyeBeehello Ryan, is there a way to completely erase all the settings on my phone, my phone is stuck on roaming with verizon instead of cricket even when i flash to a different rom i went through your unlock and pst setting and am trying to erase everything going back to sprint, please i beg your help. thanks.
3/24/09 9:10PM sent by OyeBeehi there Ryan i finally reflashed everything ,went through your detailed setup ....thanks i might add. i updated my prl with one of the two you had on the rom, and now i't stuck roaming on verizon network, i also used the other prl but i get no service signal at all, am in arlington heights illinois, even with the service roaming on verizon will i still be able to use it on cricket network or i need a prl that will work? thanks.
3/24/09 9:13PM sent by MEVerizon ROMs are the worst to start with. I could of told you that. You have to look up how to get out of Verizon's curse. Dont search that term exactly but you know what I mean. It will basically involve using a locked bootloader then flashing a stock "non verizon" ROM(gps enabled 3.35 and up), then changing your SPC code back (using bafmsl, and qpst)to all zero's (because stock ROM flash reverts SPC code to a real code)then put the unlocked olipro 2.40 back on the phone, then a custom ROM. Voila, might want to consider unlocking the EXT ROM first and deleting everything in there, also make sure you unhide hidden and system files if using computer to delete the files. If these steps fail, I dont know what to tell ya.
NOW THATS A LOT OF QUESTIONS WITH A LOT OF GREAT ANSWERS.. DONT YA THINK..

I must say i like this ROM. I have an issue with my hard buttons only the vol up down wheel works, power button works and the four way joystick works and thats it. It was water damaged. I installed a different dialer with call and end on touchscreen and that solved my button issue there. i also installed AEBplus.cab to assign camera shutter button to joystick left key.
Anyway the ROM seems really nice so far (using it about a week) bluetooth always works, like the gps viewer included, only thing that still seems wonky is the diag code and yes i using your updated rom with codes but still have to flash to nuerom 3 to get in there.

I put that comment on my Profile on PPCgeeks because some VIP member (Puff the magic dragon) got into an argument with me in Private Messaging(over nothing) and then had an Admin Friend ruin my reputation (because he couldnt keep up). The VIP member (Puff the magic dragon) swore at me and said some nasty things and all I did was reply with short and sweet witty responses and that was enough to flip him out. They did something really unfair to me (ruining my reputation score using Admin tools). They never formally notified me that I was being punished or ever gave me a chance to send the PM's from(Puff the magic dragon) to stick up for myself. To show what I think of PPCgeeks I havent been on there since and I never will be again. I do not support that site or its Members.
I have fixed Diag mode and it now works fine on my ROM.

If you are using my ROM's the diagnostic shortcuts are in Start/Programs/Diagnostic. It lets you access the Programming Modes without the use of Dialer Codes! Its much easier than dial codes and this way you can leave smart dial on. I already said this before in this thread but since people are unable to read and "grasp" my info I am saying it again.
My ROM creates Diagnostic Mode shortcuts in Start/Programs/Diagnostic
There is PST(EPST), Debug(Fieldtrial), and Diag(DMrouter)
If you are using Diag Mode, open the shortcut and a window will open, let the window close on its own it will take a few seconds. Then plug it into a computer with proper HTC drivers on it and Voila. Phone is detected and useable via Comm Port.

Ryan (or anyone who can answer),
How can I get Hotmail to show up in the phones built in e-mail program (like the official Sprint roms), and not go to the internet to WM Live? Hotmail is my main e-mail account and I need to use the push e-mail settings. Is there a cab out there, or is it a setting I can edit? Thanks in advance!

This is how to set up Outlook Email on Sprint Version ROM, or ROM's that use proxyless internet(no proxy)
Sure I will answer you no problem, open your messaging program and you want to be in Outlook Email. Click the Menu button, Tools, Options and in there underneath Outlook Email you will see New Account. Click that and follow the instructions(enter your Hotmail email address and password) to set up your Hotmail Account. I have used this for AOL and it guided me through the setup, and I remember Hotmail being an option it will tell you that settings where found for Hotmail and to complete setup and download email click next to continue. Now realize that I do not use Push Email, but it should work on the Sprint version no problem. You may have to set up other things I dont know. But it should work with directions from above.
But the Cricket Version uses Proxy Internet and doesnt work with alot of servers including AOL and Hotmail, Gmail etc. You have to access that through Web Email. Unless using wi-fi or networking.

That's how it works on the official Sprint rom, but not with your latest release (the only one I tried BTW). It works fine for Yahoo, Gmail, etc, but with Hotmail it wants you to use PIE and go to the Windows Mobile Live through a link it provides on the screen. I'm really loving your rom, but I may have to go back to Sprints if I can't find a way to get Hotmail in Pocket Outlook or another email program.

Hmm, I dont know then . Sprint may have some kind of Hotmail association that they cook into the ROM. There may also be a Hotmail program that you can use. Just search a little bit I wouldnt give up. But like you said the other Accounts work Yahoo, Gmail, AOL, etc.. So if its not working out for Hotmail just go back to sprints official ROM. I will look into it I promise and if you figure it out let me know and I may possibly be able to update the release. If its something easy like a setting you missed let that be known also. Keep me updated.
EDIT: I think I may have found the culprit lol. check these registry keys and change these values from 0 to 1
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\OEM\WAPPUSH]
"WAPPUSH Mode"=dword:00000001
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\PhoneExtendFunction \CDMA]
"Internet"=dword:00000001
If it works after soft resetting let me know and I will cook the new roms and post them.

I just tried this, but it didn't work. Thanks for trying!! I know Sprint did something special in their rom because even DCD's roms don't like Hotmail. I'm still pretty new to flashing my Titan, so I haven't figured out how to read the .nbh files to see what Sprint did. If it helps in any way, WM5 allowed Hotmail to work in Pocket Outlook (unless that was a Sprint rom only thing too).
EDIT: I changed WAPPUSH to 1, but the other was already set to 1. So, after a reset it still didn't work.
I've been reading in the xda forums that Flexmail 4 allows all providers in their program. I see some threads under Development and Hacking that talk about Flexmail, but I haven't found a download for it yet. Any chance of getting you to add that in the future? Here's one thread link:

RyanMogul
2nd April 2009, 07:42 AM
FMI?? lol, The PRL is only there to get you started if you are coming from a different carrier and didnt manually change your PRL. When you *228 like you are supposed to to get your PST settings perfect, the PRL automatically gets updated if your Carrier has a better one to your area. Glad you got Hotmail working though, I have cooked the windows live in to the Sprint ROM and updated the downloads for both light and heavy version! I cooked Mortscript into the ROMs its good to have if you know how to use it and its not a program. You are great man and thanks for looking out. Just let me know what you had to set up to get Hotmail working, and anything else you had to change or could use changing.
Edit: Here is a PM confirming that Hotmail Email NOW works on MY Sprint ROM.
Thank you my friend, but I found the program the Sprint Rom installs. It's just Windows Live from last year. I found it in another thread, so I posted the link. It also incorporates itself into Pocket Outlook, so this is what I was looking for! I'm so glad I get to keep your rom!!! YAY!!!
BTW - I'm sorry to find out that you are a little anal, like me, in that you need to fix the problem ASAP! I've found that, in my life, being good at problem solving is a CURSE! This hobby takes up waaaaay too many hours!

This is for ALL users of MY ROMS as this problem would of been cooked into all of them. This is also for users of My Voice Command speed dial CAB
I only had this happen when I decided to COOK Voice command in as requested by a User.
The problem I had was every once in awhile a Call would come in and I would NOT be able to answer it. Sometimes it would say missed call but I never heard it ring..
I narrowed it down to the Voice Command startup file sddaemon.ink and the registry setting LaunchAPenable. I have updated the Voice Speed Dial CAB so for those users Uninstall the Old one (soft reset) Download and Install the New one (soft reset) done. I am also updating all the ROM's to include the fixes but if you do not wish to Re-Flash then here is what you do.
1: Using Phone's file explorer or Active Sync navigate to device memory/windows/start up - now delete the sddaemon shortcut in there.
2: Using PHM regedit or similar navigate to the following registry location. HKEY_Local_Machine/Software/OEM/VoiceCommand - change the key "LaunchAPEnable" from Value 1 to 0
Now close out of all open programs and give it a minute or so to write then soft reset.. I havent had a problem since, so give this a try or re-download my ROM from share site and re-flash. Voice Command still works also, just assign to a button or run from Programs, easy..

Acutally the way I have IE set up on the Phone is very nice. Its slow for REAL webpages(non mobile) but it displays them in full format without having to zoom in. So if seems like it stalled or something, it didnt give it time as its loading every original gif/jpg/text from the original webpage. But yea there could be a better IE, I could post up a version of Opera to try for ya, I know it works.. You can always edit the registry to use default Mobile IE formatting. You will have to look that up though..
As far as having to re-flash your phone, you just have to Hard Reset(But you may as well as I just posted up updated ROM's)

Well, I dont want to offend you but it appears you may have made a Boo Boo
This thread and the ROM it provides is for a HTC Mogul 6800 (TITAN) and the Radios are specific for the TITAN also, as well as the Bootloader.
I hope you didnt flash your Touch Pro (RAPHAEL"GSM", HERMAN"CDMA") with this Mogul (TITAN) ROM, and hope you didnt flash a TITAN radio to that phone either.
Edit: Ok I finally understand your language. What I think happened is you didnt do the entire process right. Heres the Timeline from stock phone to custom Cricket ROM with gps radio. Stock Phone > Olipro 2.40 unlocked bootloader(preferred), or no2chem 2.47 > Stock Official Sprint ROM with GPS radio > Custom ROM(which does not touch RADIO) > unlock SPC code to 6 zero's again(stock roms change it to a real code) > Make Sure Cricket knows about your new phone > Update (load) a Cricket PRL in PST and let it soft reset > Dial *228 let it do its thing and reset, it will make sure your PRL is good for the area and set up base settings that are needed > My PST settings thread> Activate Internet connection > Voila!
If this is not the case then you have to remember when you flash a radio. If flashing RADIO from RUU utility on PC you must hard reset the phone, if flashing from Memory Card(micro sd 2gb or less Fat 32 formatted blank with .nbh named TITAIMG.nbh) you dont have to hard reset.
What it also may be is that alot of ROMs have different Page Pool settings, you may need to (after flashing custom rom) pull battery for a minute then put it back in turn phone on and Hard Reset. That will ensure the Page Pool is set up.
Hope I have helped you.

Just follow the Timeline I listed before and you will be fine. Just look up each thing, most of what you need is on my share site. The only thing you would need to get would be a stock Sprint ROM with gps radio 3.35 and up, whats needed to get out of stuck bootloader, and a "locked bootloader(and a Stock Sprint ROM with NON gps)". Otherwise everythings on my share site. Ignore the radios on there unless your phone was already working fine with Custom ROM and you could use an update.
Just in case here is a timeline to get a Improperly working miss flashed phone that was flashed in the wrong order back to normal.
Heres the Timeline from Improperly Flashed Phone to custom Cricket ROM with gps radio. Improperly Flashed Phone > Exit Stuck Bootloader and Look up how to Put a locked bootloader back on(or if its not stuck then Put on a locked Bootloader) > Stock Official Sprint ROM NON GPS > Olipro 2.40 unlocked bootloader(preferred), or no2chem 2.47 > Stock Official Sprint ROM with GPS radio > Custom ROM(which does not touch RADIO) > unlock SPC code to 6 zero's again(stock roms change it to a real code) > Make Sure Cricket knows about your new phone > Update (load) a Cricket PRL in PST and let it soft reset > Dial *228 let it do its thing and reset, it will make sure your PRL is good for the area and set up base settings that are needed > My PST settings thread> Activate Internet connection > Voila!

hey ryan, are you experiencing lower battery life with this ROM?
let me explain why... that program "activesync" keeps opening randomly at random times during the day also, there is a constant persistent "data connection" all day, and the phone stays connected to the EVDO network doing i don't know what... and that eats up battery in a few hours... >_>
so i'm not sure but i'm askin' to see if this is not an isolated issue
oh btw ryan, do you also do roms for the htc touch pro??
RyanMogul
5th April 2009, 05:49 AM
I have had the ROM on my phone for about 4 months now and battery life is fine. Also my data connection only connects when I activate it or a program does. You must of installed something that automatically connects to data to update or something. You might of also installed something thats eating battery life. As far as active sync goes I have never had an issue with it.
You could look up how to further tune battery from performance side to long life side in registry. My ROMs are say about 50 percent set for performance and 50 percent for battery life.
You could look through recent programs you installed, possibly a weather program, and uncheck any auto update/connect features.
To close data when you see its still open click on the EV icon, and disconnect. Could also close from COMM manager, or another trick is to press the Call End button and hold for a second or two. It will close the data connection.
Also the EV symbol does not mean data is active. When you see two arrows next to the EV symbol, that means data is active. When you see EV with normal signal bars thats normal operation.

Make sure you know what you are doing before you attempt to flash a custom ROM onto your device!!
Turning a Stock phone into a Phone the accepts Custom ROM's is accomplished using more steps than just Flashing a Custom ROM.
All I am going to tell you is that Vista does not use Active Sync, its called WMDC, and the easiest way to flash using Vista is to have phone unplugged and then manually put the phone in Bootloader and turn off (disable) WMDC on Vista Computer. Then plug the Phone into the Vista Computer and then you can run the RUU (Rom Update Utility) utility to flash the phone.
Any other information can be found not only by reading this Thread. It can be found by searching and reading the Forum! Might want to pay attention to my flashing Timeline from a couple posts ago and make sure you set the phone up right for custom ROM's.

** note to guy who wants to flash **
flashing directly from your flash card is about 50% faster than from the computer buddy
neways Ryan a heads up, i still could never do the *228 "reprogramming" from cricket, it never allowed me to.
this morning i saw an article that said that 1050 is not an official cricket PRL, to use 1040 or 1042 instead. i went ahead and changed it, and sure enough after i did that i was able to update my phone.
on the battery usage, it seems "windows live" installation that i did was partly what kept on persistently engaging the EVDO network, i just uninstalled it.
but i still think i gotta buy a new bat.
anyways i just bought an HTC Touch Pro, and so now 2 days after i got this phone i need to sell it lol. i'll probably sell it to my aunt, but what i was wondering is... if i have to do all these customizations for it to work for me, how can i sell it to her ready to go?
she defenetly doesn't know how to edit anything on EPST, and she is not computer saavy... so i'm just wondering what steps i need to take to have the phone ready to sell to her?
oh and one more thing, can you make this same rom usable on the htc touch pro??

Ryan, (or others),
I have flashed my Sprint Mogul With your Sprint rom. Everything seems to work except I can't figure out how to adjust the volume on Sprint TV or on any video files (memory card, you tube, etc. ) I have tried the scroll wheel and adjusting the slider bar on the touchscreen speaker icon. Am I missing something? or is anyone else having this issue?
This is my first attempt at flashing a windows mobile phone. It took awhile to figure out, but was well worth the effort. I love this rom. Thanks for all your work Ryan.

Yea, those programs require you to adjust the volume before viewing or outside of the application. You can always click the windows hotkey and then click today. That will minimize the programs you have open. Then you click the volume icon on the taskbar and adjust the left slider to a suitable volume. Then click the little pull down menu on the top right of taskbar and it will let you open the program/programs you had minimized.

I dont know if most people are aware but the new AIM mobile software works on phones without a data connection that is always on. You just have to launch the data connection before trying to sign on to AIM..
Well I have fixed that behavior with this Mortscript File I created found at the link below. Read the post first and decide if you want to use it. You can change the files to work with any program/process that uses data. The mortscript file needs placed in device memory/windows/startup and then soft reset. Just read up and Enjoy!
Also at the link is a version of mobile AIM that I cooked that automatically launches the data connection. It does not waste system power or battery as the mortscript file that it uses does not have "while commands"
Link to post : My Auto Connect & Disconnect Data Connection Mortscript for AIM Mobile. (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=3608903&postcount=1414)
Here is a link to a new script I made that when assigned to a button you can ignore a call and totally silence it so no missed call alert or led flash. It only works while you are receiving a call and the script only runs when you press the button.
My Silence Call and Reminders Mortscript with instructions (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=3719815&postcount=1506)
Also here are Links to my Hotfix Cab for each Carrier Version of my ROM's. Install whichever carrier you are using and soft reset. It contains several fixes I have found since ROM release. If you have downloaded any version of my ROM before 4/29/09 Please install this, otherwise I have updated all the ROM's with the fixes. A new version 2.0 is coming out soon as well!

I was told the Manila 2d landscape fix drains the battery.

What you could try doing is go into phone options and pick services. Location setting, pick 911 only and hit ok. Then soft reset the phone. When it boots back up go back in there and put it back to Location ON. Soft reset again. When phone boots back up go into settings/system/external gps settings. GPS program port on com4, GPS hardware port NONE, baud rate 4800, check manage gps automatically. Now go outside and have a clear view of the sky(all gps units require clear view of sky) open up GPS viewer app. Make sure its on COMM 4 and baud rate 4800 then click OPEN GPS let it run untill it has a 3d lock, all kinds of numbers will be scrolling in large paragraphs when 3d lock happens, it will only be scrolling small sentences when only 2d locked. Now soon as you achieve a 3d lock go ahead and use a gps program, garmin mobile, google maps. Etc.. Should be locked on now. Let me know if you got it going.

Yea I still have that, but just like most 3rd party dialers it causes your data connection arrows to appear "active". When actually the connection is dormant it just looks to be active. So I do not cook the dialer into my ROMS nor do I post it for download. But you are right it is awesome.
If you want to download it let me know VIA PM and I will post it and give you a password. Just please dont complain about the data arrows because its known to have that behavior.

i tried what u said and still dont work, it stayed scaning for sat for about 35-40min and not one bite, do you think that the IP needs to change i remember reading a thread about using a different PDE-IP and changing it with QPST. So I did that already before I flashed your rom. my SPL and radio are updated to the latest one. Whats your thought's on it, what else can i try? Thanks Again For you help.

Well I would try looking up Verizon specific GPS One information for entering in QPST. Then you could try turning off AGPS from hkeylocalmachine/software/htc/suplagps - make the gps mode 1. Then make the enablegpssmartmode and enableagps on 0. Just remember what they were before you switch them, just do a reg backup before and soft reset after the changes. The other thing I can think of is if you started with a Verizon Official ROM that may be your problem. I heard with their radio's that you have to use their roms for gps and it always ends up being a pain... There are some threads to read about verizon gps, do a little searching. You could also start from a sprint based rom with gps radio 3.35 and up.. Lastly you could try when you Hard reset the ROM or flash a the final ROM to your device you can skip the Auto Customizations by resetting with stylus when it says it will customize in 3 seconds. There may be things in your EXT ROM that get ran with auto cust messing you up. Look up how to unlock EXT ROM and delete everything in there. Then hard reset or flash a ROM. If these suggestions dont work then I dont know from there you are the first that cant get gps to work. But I am not saying there couldnt be others. I wish more people would report their problems and also what is working perfectly. That helps me fix ROM's. People like you help out and thanks.

Hey Ryan,
I installed the light version for verizon, and wanted to upgrade to the newest wifirouter. having problems with the ICS. it says its waiting for it to start. So how would I install the new version, I tried the regular cab method.
Thanks

17th April 2009, 12:07 AM
You have to set up an adhoc connection from wi-fi settings on the phone. Then you must have the wi-fi turned on first before starting WMwifirouter. So to make a long story short you have to know how to set up a network to use WMwifirouter.
Using just ICS via usb cable works pretty easily. Go into connection settings/select networks/ make the top one my work network, the bottom one verizon. Click ok. Then plug your phone into computer with active sync and wait till it syncs. You must have htc windows drivers installed on the computer to share internet through usb. Now you might have to disable all onboard LAN's on the pc. Now while phone is plugged in open ICS and click connect, it will do its thing. Now look for the new connection in your computers network connections and you may have to right click it and repair. Now depending if verizon is on a proxy or not you may have to configure internet explorer on your computer in connections/lan settings to use their proxy. Crickets is wap.mycricket.com port 8080 but I dont know what verizon is if any. I only have cricket to test with. When I cook ROM's for use on other carriers I just go by researching, gut, and beta user input.
Hope I have helped.

You have to make sure the right PRL is loaded is PST.
If this doesnt work I will keep looking, hopefully some other Sprint ROM users may chime in.

I dont really know if this will work. Go to start/settings/phone/services/roaming, and turn it on Home Only. Then soft reset.
I guess there is a chance that my ROM doesnt work right in a foreign country?

Excellent work on your heavy. Works well on Verizon VX6800. I'm not using your GPS Viewer utility to help IGO8 or Garmin XT to lockon. I use GPSGate 2.6 with WM GPS input and Virtual Com 2. Payed for a quality product. GPSGate starts up automatically and uses little RAM. It makes Lockon with other GPS programs is almost instant.
I will continue testing before donation. TY TY nice job!
BTW, lockon is not possible without luck or extremely long waits with my phone without running GPSGate or GPS Viewer.

I have cooked the AGPS settings into each Carrier of MY ROM, Using the settings from this thread. http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?p=402134 Cricket I now have AGPS OFF by default.
I doubt the settings are needed but you have to change the GPSone settings using QPST to what carrier you are usings settings. You also have to change the registry values to match in hkeylocalmachine/software/htc/supl_agps, the server port and IP.
So as of 4/19/09 all of my ROM's the registry values for AGPS are already set. My Cricket ROMS the Values are now set except I turned AGPS off which saves your Data Connection and works better. The other settings have to be set in your QPST GPSone settings. I have no control over that memory region of the Phone. That needs to be done manually by a user.
I have never had problems with my GPS with and without using the settings but you may want to try them. Especially Verizon Users.
You may also want to try turning AGPS OFF which works Best for the Cricket Version (maybe others) here are the registry keys to change. Remember to wait a little then soft reset.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\HTC\SUPL AGPS
EnableAGPS = 0
EnableGPSSmartMode = 0
GPSMode = 1

Ryan,
For whatever reason I did a soft reset using the shutdown program, and now the touch flo doesn't want to load. I went to the programs to look for M2DC to see if I can get it to work, well a window came up " unable to find manilla 2D, is manilla installed?" I think everything else works fine but I don't have my touch flo. Should I load your rom again?

I dont know thats pretty strange. I have been using the ROM for a good 5 months now and have done plenty of soft resets.
There could be plenty of things causing this, like programs you have installed, edits you have made etc..
You can try installing the Manila2d cab from the windows folder on device memory. Then soft reset.
If that doesnt work you can do a "hard reset" you never have to re-load a ROM.
I would try after a hard reset pulling the battery for a couple minutes. That way there is no problems with the Page Pool.

Just want to say thank you for an aweome rom. It has a great mix of programs and the speed is great compared to the stock rom.
I have been using the Sprint version for over 2 weeks, the only issue I noticed is that the "All programs" button under Programs tab would periodically stop working. It is not a big issue since it would work again after I soft reset the phone. Have you noticed a similar problem?

i have finally got my sprint mogul and hard spl, already had radion 3.42.02 installed on it when i got it, installed your metro heavy v1.1 4/23/09 version, hard reset, messed with it, got lost with qst, but figured it out, (vista) anyways unlocked my pst to all zeros 6 of them. went step by step on you cricket pst thread, and changed the things from cricket to metropcs, should i have put passwords to be mymetropcs instead of metropcs. also on the internet explorer i put passoword to be metropcs and clicked on save, i do not know how to change the password again. also i left blank on the other option below password, was that wrong.
i am not able to dial out, still get the sprint messege of roaming and account info.........this is a clean esn, ebay bought and verified by calling sprint, so i am not doing anything illegal here. fyi i have att still this is for spouse, she racks up the minutes

i forgot to mention, that when both times at hard resetting, not once did it do the screen aligment option and when i click on it under settings it will not respond and softresting will be the result, annoying part is that i try to type 2 with the stylus and it hits 1 anyways again noob asking about CDMA

password for Metropcs, is metropcs
You did do something wrong because If you read my PST thread it states that you should disable all profiles 1-5. Not just disable individual values in your default profile. Default profile shold be the only one enabled. The PST settings and loading a PRL file and all that is explained in the PST thread. You just have to use Metro values instead of Cricket. You obviously need the phone on the account first as well.

Wifi needs the switch on the side of the Phone ON for wi-fi to work, including being able to toggle it on and off from COMM manager.
The alignment thing is this.. I recently (4/22/09) cooked Ftouchflo into all my ROM's which enables you to finger scroll in any Page. Problem with that is it doesnt let you align screen. You can disable ftouchflo from ftouchflo config in settings. You also did not have to soft reset when stuck on alignment screen, just simply press the power button off then back on. Turn touch scrolling off and go back in and align.
I spent alot of time re-cooking the ROM's last night and I disabled the finger scrolling so that it doesnt start up automatically by default. From now on all my ROM's come with the option its just you have to turn it on the first time manually in Ftouchflo Config in settings.

Please help if any suggestions.

Yea I recently bought a xv6800 verizon mogul off of Ebay and when I got it I unlocked the bootloader, loaded my Custom ROM, and flashed a gps radio. The ROM worked great as expected except I couldnt get the Banner name Cricket to stick for the life of me, no matter what I edited using QPST. I also frowned when I used GPS viewer and the GPS seemed broke, it was not scrolling a thing! I was like great, go figure.
The answer has to do with the ERI, verizon mogul's need a specific ERI for the GPS chip to work properly.
How to fix a XV6800 Mogul's GPS after a ROM upgrade..
You are going to be flashing so dont forget to Backup your Contacts, Messages, and so forth using a utility like PIM backup!!
1: Make sure you have a formatted FAT32 Micro SD card 2GB and under with a GPS radio of your choosing named TITAIMG.nbh on the ROOT of the card with nothing else, its also a good idea to make a backup of your current functioning QPST settings so you can review them later the stock verizon ROM will touch some of those.
2: Download the following files from my HTC to Windows Unlock Tools directory (http://www.4shared.com/dir/13899878/aef6ea49/HTC_to_Windows_Drivers__Unlock_Tools.html). Download the VerizonStockROMandRUU.zip, Titan_Relocker.exe, a GPS radio of your choosing, and the titan_spl_olipro240.exe.
3. Take out the storage card and connect the Phone to Computer via Active Sync and make sure its working properly. Now run the Titan_Relocker.exe, and make sure you follow the Re-lockers instructions just like you would an unlocker. Pay Attention and dont interrupt it!! When its done you can close the utility and command prompt windows that are open and leave the phone plugged in and still at the BootLoader screen.
4: Now run the Stock Verizon RUU, the file to run is Romupdateutility.exe and make sure to follow its instructions and let it finish without interrupting the process! When its done and it Boots UP give it a little to pass the first bootscreen then unplug the phone.
5: Let the Verizon ROM totally install and RUN CUSTOMIZATIONS, let it reboot and everything. Now dont mess with the ROM just Connect to your Computer again and Make sure its connected to active sync and functioning.
6: Now run the Olipro 2.40 unlocked Bootloader and follow its instructions until it comes up saying you must unplug and plug the phone back in. PLEASE dont miss that, DO NOT hit a key to continue UNTIL you have UNPLUGGED the phone waited a moment, then plugged it back in. Then you can hit a key and continue but PAUSE again and minimize that window. Now right click the Active sync icon on your PC's taskbar. Pick connection settings and then look for the Box with Allow USB connections. Clear the box (disable) the usb connections. Then click OK. Now open the window back up and click to continue. That will exit the Bootloader and reset the phone. Now right away UNPLUG the phone and Manually place it in Bootloader Manually. Now PLUG the phone back into the PC.
7: Now install the Custom ROM or whatever GPS (or NON GPS if you are going that route) enabled ROM you are going to use.
a. You can use an RUU utility to flash the custom ROM while its still plugged in and in bootloader.
b. You can flash the custom ROM with a Micro SD card, just unplug the phone and put the card in and manually put the phone in bootloader again using power + camera + reset all at the same time for a second or two.
8: When the ROM is done installing you MUST flash a GPS radio version 3.35 and up if you are using a GPS ROM. If you use RUU method you have to perform a hard reset after flashing the radio. If you use the Micro SD method you do not have to Hard Reset.
Still it is a good idea to hard reset and then pull battery for a minute to make sure the page pool is set.
Now you have to change most options all over again using QPST, like the banner and Nam NAMES and some authentication settings. Go over them with a fine tooth comb and when you are all finished double check them and go to the GPSone tab last. Uncheck all the boxes on the left in gps one tab and then re-select them then confirm your IP and Port plus pde settings are correct then write to phone, then close DMrouter, give it like 30 seconds or so then soft reset. When it boots up you can use PST/EPST to verify the settings stuck or to make more changes load a PRL etc.. Just make sure you set the Gps One settings according to the Carrier you are using consult with this thread http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?p=402134.. Also check your registry to make sure the ROM has that info set right. hkeylocalmachine/software/htc/supl_agps is the location. Check phone settings to make sure Location is ON, instead of 911 only.
Now your GPS should function perfectly using a XV6800 Mogul on any GPS enabled ROM!! The banner name will also stick! Enjoy.
Edit: As soon as Ig aquired this information from me he got his xv6800's gps unlocked again, its up and running!
Dude i got it GPS works great !!! you r the MAN!!!
Thanks!!!!,Thanks!!!!,Thanks!!!!

Just wanted to let everyone know that I have updated my ROM's with software changes/improvements. Here are some of the changes.
Removed NueLight3 as I had issues with it locking the phone up with flashlight on! Ouch thats not good.. lol. I replaced it with a lighter version that doesnt actually run a program. Its linked to the same button and also is in programs menu.
Removed Device Lock, I found its not needed as there is other ways to lock the phone included.
Added Adobe Flash Player
Added IE Tools, this lets you tweak a few IE settings small and increases functionality.
Added Stopwatch
Added Ftouchflo(touch scrolling), which gives you the option to finger scroll in any application! To activate it go to settings Ftouchflo(touch scrolling) config and click the enable touch scrolling and hit done or ok, once its activated it creates a startup file and always is enabled. This feature disables being able to Align screen, if you get stuck trying just hit power button off, then back on. Disable Ftouchflo(touch scrolling) the phone will need reset, then when it boots go back in and align. Then re-enable Ftouchflo(touch scrolling) if you like.
Added Windows Live, this will help users retrieve their Hotmail etc.. Its fairly small and works on several of MY ROM's
The fixes are just keyboard speed, scroll speed, etc.. Nothing really major.

Can we have a Telus version? Is it possible to remove anything I don't like (I don't use iContact and use GC's java pack for java with Opera and Gmail)? How much free memory are you seeing? I like the stability of 1.3.4 but I always cook the ROM without M2D anyway so I'm looking at alternatives.

If you get me all the MMS information I need for that Carrier I would be more than happy to cook a BETA Telus ROM for you to test. I need as much info as possible. I will look around a little for the settings myself please Private Message me with the settings.
Here are some of the settings I need to get MMS to work.
WAP2RecvDefaultSize
WAP1RecvDefaultSize
WAP2SendDefaultSize
WAP1SendDefaultSize
GatewayPort
MmscURI
Wether or not you need these values: Gateway, Domain
We need all the values for this reg location: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Arcsoft\ArcSoft MMS UA\Config\mm1\WspHeader
Wether or not Telus uses a X-Telus-MDN value in that reg location above.. Get as much information as possible then Private Message me.

I just switched over to this ROM from bitserv's since I think he abandoned the project. I had to switch all the aGPS settings to Telus to get aGPS to work as a Verizon Wireless user.
I prefer to use Opera Mini as my default browser and have always used GC Java Pack (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=402980&highlight=opera+mini) which was abandoned and this ROM comes with JBED pre-installed and I hate to revert back to an older JBED version. Does anyone have the skills to reverse engineer GC's java pack and create one with the current JBED v20090217.5.1R2 QVGA (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=3428512&postcount=52) and Opera Mini 4.2 (http://www.opera.com/mini/download/htc/htc_ppc6800_mogul/) so it can be launched by itself and be set to default browser. If no one wants to take the task on at least could provide what needs to be done to make a standalone installer.
Thank you and good job Ryan Mogul.

I recently found out that Google Maps was no longer being installed on first boot up like it is supposed to. I also found out that NueFont's does not work without using Nue's base package which includes some needed .dll's. I fixed the Nuefont's program and changed a few things about the ROM listed below. I have also fixed the Dialer Codes! I left the diagnostic shortcuts for ease of use.
Ok I got the google maps sorted out, also because of user request I added Opera Mini which is a great browser real slim on memory resources, and a newer java platform.
Added some battery performance tweaks that I found needed changing.
The Large default Windows mobile stock fonts and values are All Tahoma Font, Sys = 900, Menu = 800, Popup Font = 800, OOM Font = -12 Its trial and error with figuring out how to set those to custom values other than the ones listed here.
You can make the font smaller by choosing all Cambria.
The Alltel and Metro PCS ROMS are out of beta. I have also updated all of my ROM's with all the changes and fixes I could find. I also took out 4 Manila 2D themes and the Other 8 now all have previews.
I removed the icontact shortcut, and stock calculator from programs menu. Contacts opens icontact so the need for 2 contacts shortcuts is not needed. I removed the stock calculator and cooked in the full version of 1-calc and its loaded with features. I also set it up to show the totals as you add/subtract etc.. just like the stock calculator and 1-Calc is very customizeable. Google maps is back and installed, everything works including the programming codes (dialer codes).
All 5 Carrier specific versions of my ROM are now available to the public. Thanks to everyone who helped with beta testing, and ideas. I have updated the threads giving credit where its due.
BIG THANKS to Jas0nMack for BETA Testing, pointing out that Google Maps is not being installed, suggestions of adding Opera Mini, and most importantly devoting their time in helping me further perfect my ROM's.

Yes I second that Mr. Ryan you have some hot I mean very hot cricket ROM's that run excellent for mogul w/ your 6.1 ROM's it would be sweet and i know would take crazy time and efforts but yeah I second a WM 6.5 Ryan's cricket build

Well thank you for your interest, as well as the compliments. As soon as a find a stable WM 6.5 build to work from (tried ppc) I will start working on a WM 6.5 ROM for Titan's but it will be very light.. WM 6.5 uses more resources than 6.1. That is why most Titan Chefs use 6.1.
Now for the Touch Pro thats another story, I am working on a ROM for WM 6.1, and one for WM 6.5 because as you know the Touch Pro is well equipped on the memory side.

Dear Ryan,
i have HTC MOGUL Sprint.
and have installed your ROM. in that the TouchFlo - Weather.
I am not able to find City:- Mumbai - India.
please can you help me.
waiting for your reply.
Here is an updated Weather Cities XML file for the Weather Widget in Manila 2D. Unzip the attached download below and paste the file in your phones device memory/windows folder. Overwriting the old file. You dont even have to soft reset. Then go into weather, add city and Mumbia, India is in there. Sorry it took me so long. Enjoy

i have just switched from dcd to your rom for verizon and when i turn on wifi it shows the networks i can connect to. when i choose one it tries to connect and then it says the network is unavailable even though im right next to it. My wifi worked fine on the dcd rom but i like the features in this rom better and prefer this one. If you know how to get the wifi to work just let me know. Thanks in advanced.

I actually have an almost new Mogul with my ROM and have been putting the wi-fi through a lot of tests and it works for me. What I can say is that I had 2 mogul's donated to me for development and one of them the wi-fi didnt work at all, meaning turn the switch on and the wi-fi icon would show up but never pick up any networks, also the LED wouldnt start blinking. The other mogul when turning wi-fi on would show the icon, pick up networks, and blink the LED, but it was doing the same thing as yours, not actually connecting to networks.
So the conclusion I am drawing is that the wi-fi portion of the HTC mogul doesnt last very long if used a lot. It starts to act up and then eventually totally dies and will not pick up a signal at all.
Like I said on my almost new Mogul with my ROM the wi-fi works fine, I connected to my neighbor, mcd's, whole bunch of places. I know you dont want to hear this (nobody would) the wi-fi chip in your phone could be starting to go bad.

Hey, thanks for the rom! I have been using Titan Reloaded 1.3.4 because I love the M2D, but I def like your mix of proggies better. Also a big fan of having WMWiFiRouter included! Unfortunately for me, my WiFi seems shot  Anyway, I wanted to say that after messing around with it all day I have been unable to get my internet working. I am on Sprint and don't really know what Cricket is, so I can't use that. I called sprint and got my MSL as well as my user name and password but still could not get online. I was just about to flash back to Reloaded when I thought of something (cause I'm crazy like that) and, although your rom has the sprint carrier cab built in, I loaded the DCD Sprint Carrier Cab, did a soft reset and now it all works great!
Just basically wanted to let you know what I had to do to get my Mogul online via Sprint in case there were any other users with issues. This is a great rom and I would hate to see people pass it up because of a simple issue!

Did you happen to read this thread and see that you are the only one that was unable to get internet working? A little over 200 users downloaded my Sprint ROM and have never complained about Internet not working. You must have been trying to activate the internet while it was still plugged into the computer or the wifi switch was still on. Sometimes even with wi-fi off you have to go into wifi settings and delete the connections. That was probably your problem.

Yeah, that is very possible. I think it was still connected to the PC via USB after the flash. As I said though, love the rom. The only think I would love if you could provide is the on screen keyboard that is used in the reloaded rom. I really like it alot better because it is usable by finger instead of having to use the stylus. Is that a cab you might have laying around, or do you even know what I'm talking about?! LOL
Edit: NVM, already found it. Diamond EzInput keyboard

Hey Ryan excellent Rom have been using it for about a week and havent really found anything to complain about so thanks!
There is one thing though is there any plan on making a kitchen? basically i wanted to try 2 things, one to change the camera app to the newer one ( the one from the vouge), it takes much better pictures yes you do lose the flash feature but then again im thinking that if u use the flashlight program u have already installed to the side button it would compensate.
Also i was going to ask another chef for a little help ,Im not saying you arent good and all but Previously i had a htc wizard and SVI was able to get a 6.1 rom with M2D on it running with over 27mb free on first boot( (it has a total of 57.something mb like the titan i thought it was 64 but the memory app shows 57) i was hoping i could use your rom as a base ( as its the best 6.1 there is right now) and with SVI's help tweak it a little more to get some more juice out of it .
Ofcourse if you asked SVI for help im sure u can get much farther than me much faster as i would be starting out from the beginning.

In my multi-carrier thread always say which carrier version of my ROM are you using. Now about the M2d, to squeeze more juice out of a Titan with 6.1 with M2D is simple. I would have to include less programs and features that is all. I have done it before and had a little more free RAM just was missing some programs and features.
As far as releasing a Kitchen, no way. It took me way too much work to get a dcd base to work in PPC Kitchen. I use the kitchen in Unrared format so I can change/edit things a lot easier. To do that you need to know about selections.txt, kichenconfig.txt and how they work. You also have to know the (extremely edited by me) dcd base like the back of your hand and also know the PPC kitchen the same way. I have to cut and copy all kinds of packages when I fix anything on my ROM's for each different Carrier ROM that I cook. I also have to choose different User OEM's I created for each different ROM. The carrier option in PPC kitchen build OS only sets up WAP for me I have each package in there edited. My OEM packages that I fine tune set up the rest. Its a lengthly process.

I have been quite the busy Chef lately. I have another ROM in BETA testing and I must say it is great..
I only have the New Cricket version on my site but if you use another Carrier let me know and I will cook that ROM and upload it. Bear in mind that MY ROM's will always come customized personalized by me. Its the same in all MY ROM releases I have it set up the best I can so you the user dont have to.
Edit: 2.0 Alltel Beta ROM now added.
Version 2.0H
This version does NOT run Auto Customizations and has a Modded landscape theme installed with M2D, this is the only theme (also need modified Homesettings.xml) out there that you can use that will work with landscape mode. As far as I know I am the first to actually cook it into a ROM in working order. I left nothing out except HTC Footprints. Even has "action screen" that works in landscape. Tab is called Operator for the action screen. I have that disabled by default.
Interface details - (Manila 2D Iolite Version with Modded landscape theme) This version is really nice. Fairly light on resources, 22mb-19mb free RAM at boot. First value is free RAM before accessing anything at all. Second value is free RAM after switching between P + L mode, most of the folders and main applications are cached. ROM comes customized and tuned already. What you want to do is the same as all of MY ROM's and that is read the threads so you understand. Today Theme and all colors are tuned by me on this one. Starts out using the Modified Landscape M2D with the metal theme in the backround which looks great with the colors I have selected.
Programs - I have used a newer version of icontact that is not Beta, now using version 0.81. I have it set up to close on action or if you tap in the top taskbar. I also have it set up using a skin made by poorlyduck (brilliant designer). There are other skins to choose from in icontact config in control panel. I swapped out the flashlight for a nicer version called vjcandela. I have the button assigned to the voice button Press and Hold and the flashlight will stay on as long as you keep holding the button. I have the normal press of the voice button set up to use Cyberon Voice Command. Newer version of Java from the kaiser and Opera Mini which is slim on resources. There are 2 Calculators, the stock one with Manila 2d inspired skin created by poorlyduck. The other one is a Full scientific calculator, you will be amazed at how many different options this has. Distance, weights, algebra, and many more modes. I added in Dotfreds task manager, it is labeled System Manager in programs. Dotfreds task manager is a nice program has all sorts of features including a Powerful Registry Editor to import and export reg entries that were edited or created on PC. Other than what is listed here is covered in this thread. I retained all of the software from my Heavy version just changed it a little bit and used a modified version of M2D that partially works in landscape (will switch back to portrait when exiting a program). I am still working on a fix. Now, most of the tabs work in both portrait and landscape including the Slider on the bottom. This version is set up for Footprints but it is not installed, nor activated from first boot, you would have to install and do that yourself using Manila customizer included, just stay away from the softkeys tab unless you are planning on changing them! If you go in the softkeys tab just hit cancel. I have them set up by default left softkey named MailboX opens messaging, right softkey named RoladeX opens Contacts. I could not get footprints stable with this without running Auto Customizations and this version avoids that.
All this version needs is some more work on getting M2D to stay in landscape and believe me I am working on it! This ROM is about as close as you can get to a working Manila 2D landscape. I hope people investigate how to get it to stay in landscape because this landscape mode is as close as we are going to get for now!
Let me know if you want to try this ROM just please only use Private Messaging to ask for the download link and Password! Also when commenting on the ROM keep it private messaging until I fully release it. Thanks to everyone in advance.

NP buddy, PS I changed a few things about the ROM. I re-uploaded it last night at 2am. Its now public no password needed.. Hows the net work besides being metro slow, and MMS?
Both are working fine. I have not seen any problems so far.
Take note the top is the message I sent to him, I asked how the Web is working and also MMS, see what he replied back? Both are working fine, so he must of changed something, or is just having Metro's intermittent internet problem which like every Metro user has.

Well that may be your problem, if you even looked at/checked inside the server settings and you didnt cancel out of them then the WAP Type setting gets reverted to 1.0. Thats a bug in most if not every version of Arcsoft. You have to change it back to Wap Type = 1 (2.0) in registry. It says clearly in my thread NOT to mess with MMS settings. If you still need help let me know and I will make a CAB that should get your MMS back up and running. Just dont try and fiddle with settings on my ROM's they come already programmed for the Carrier. They need NO edits, and NO carrier CAB's.

An HTC Mogul(TITAN) ROM is most unlikely to work on a Herald or a Wing!!! Why did you think it would?? ROMs are device specific.

no,I tried to flash your rom to the sprint mogul, not to the wing, i was asking what would i use to flash it,i don't know how to put this but when i'm flashing my wing(with a wing rom not urs) I start the process using herald-uspl.exe, I'm wondering if I have to use hard-spl.exe or something else to do it cause from what i know from this forum u have to hard-spl your phone and then flash. If this is not right can you send me a step by step tutorial on how to flash ur rom to the sprint mogul.

If anyone is having problems with Internet Explorer 6 which is cooked into my ROMs then download and install this Opera Mini with Java CAB that I made. I found that if you have a slow connection IE6 takes forever to load and it almost seems like it stalls but if you wait IE will finally come around 5 minutes later for a large full page. I am always going to cook opera mini into my ROM's the web browsing is amazing.
Here the CAB to install. http://www.4shared.com/file/104226619/41f8c8a0/OperaMini42FinalPlusJava.html
I made this to install Opera mini 4.2 Final and Java jbed Signed Build 20081016.2.1. It will install a new shortcut to Opera Mini and Java in your programs folder.
This opera is so Fast even for Cricket. I love surfing the web now. There are a lot of customizing options as well. The new java is great runs 3d java games and apps. For best web viewing switch to mobile view in Opera settings.

I have released all of my ROMs and will be creating a final revision thread for each. Here is a list and brief description of all of my ROM's that are now available for each carrier! The ROMs are always already programmed for the carrier. You have to set up PST/QPST settings for your carrier and activate the internet the first time while the phone is unplugged.
A total of 35 ROMs.

V2.2 Heavy (http://www.4shared.com/dir/15526673/c3471968/HTC_TITAN_ROMS_V22_WM7.html) WM 6.5 (WM7 inspired UI)

It switches to Portrait when exiting a program. Figure out a way to stop it become one of the final pieces to the puzzle!
V1.1 Heavy (http://www.4shared.com/dir/13899627/49a02e97/HTC_TITAN_ROMS_V11_WM61.html) WM 6.1 (Manila 2D)
V1.1 Light (http://www.4shared.com/dir/13899627/49a02e97/HTC_TITAN_ROMS_V11_WM61.html) WM 6.1 (Without Manila 2D)
MY 2+ Version ROM's DO NOT run Auto Customizations and DO NOT skip welcome. All the ROMs like usual are already programmed for WAP/MMS settings and do not need touched. Have the OS tweaked to play every video type using tcpmp or wmplayer on or the other. New Java and Opera 4.2 Final New Build is installed in all of the ROM's. I cooked Astro GPS launcher in (Heavy versions), and linked the Google maps shortcuts to run it.
There is a lot of tweaks and things into these 6.5 ROM's. I am sure little things will come up but I dont expect many other than about RAM. The TITAN doesnt have much to work with and thats why I originally preferred not to make 6.5 ROM's.
WM7 V2.2 (6.5with 7.0 Inspired UI and Skinned, not theme) versions Light and Heavy - Has Titanium Weather 4.2, Fave People 2.8, CHome Config 6.1, Titanium Project WM 7, and the heavy version has a lot more toys and software.
Windows Mobile 7 Inspired Titanium Project Skinned with Titanium Weather 4.2 with Radar, All notifications in one titanium tab, fave people tab. WM 6.5 Widgets, Nue kernel and nue threaded sms control are built in and working, there are a lot of programs and toys. Everything works, uses a lot of memory with camera enabled though but not bad, real smooth. Used samsung 3d driver and a decent amount of tweaks, but no speed tweaks for my WM 6.5 versions. That would use up too much RAM. This is a very nice version.
WM 6.5 V2.1 (Heavy, Light) Windows Mobile 6.5 Stock skinned Titanium, uses a lot less memory than the Upgraded 6.5 UI from above. If you run in High Memory mode its like 50% free at boot, and I havent even tried the light version I can imagine its even lower.

Running Cricket WM 6.5 V2.1 Heavy. Looks good so far. got everything I needed and more...
I'm running SPB MS3 on this ROM and find that the memory is a problem. This is not because of the ROM. It is because of WM 6.5.
I find this memory hack (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=472798&highlight=memory) works well with the WM 6.5. I don't have any of the symptom that others have.
Update: don't bother with the following, as mentioned by bitserve, you will lost 2MB of RAM.
Navigate to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\StorageManager\FATFS
Changed - CacheSize to 4096

For future reference this is not a "blog". Start off by referring to which ROM you are using (cricket, verizon, etc...) since you have a "unheard of problem" (google maps telling you to install mobile version just simply makes no sense, there is no such thing as a "desktop version" so how could it say that?) You could even have a virus that you installed on your own, app, game etc.. Also since you are a new user confirm that you are flashing the right phone. HTC Mogul (TITAN) PPC 6800.
My take on your problem it sounds like the OS memory got corrupted due to user impatience. Manila 2D is known to have the PIM bug meaning that it imports your backup very slowly. During this time the phone will be showing in its slower performance that the messages and contacts are still loading. It sounds like you soft resetted while it was accessing important memory regions and using most of its resources. That right there is the reason for the phones OS corruption. What you want to do next time after a Hard Reset is give it a long time to restore your backup before doing anything.
The other option is to disable TouchFlo from settings/today and then Import your Backup. That is what I have read to do and experienced myself if you want to eliminate some drag when restoring backup on a M2D ROM.

Not sure if this is avalible yet but
I attempted to install on my Verizon VX6800 and install the Verizon patch but I still get prompted to connect to the cricket data network

That shows you right there HOW IMPORTANT IT IS TO READ. I already said that my 6.5 and 7 ROM's are ONLY FOR CRICKET right now! I said IF YOU WANT YOUR CARRIER COOKED LET ME KNOW. What does this user do? Uses my Cricket ROM and attempted to get Verizon to work... LOL That is absolute impatience. Then has the nerve to post in HERE saying the Cricket doesnt work on Verizon!!
It takes more Edits than just the supposed Verizon Patch.. I am working on the other versions now. I will then release the 6.5 and 7's versions 2.1 plus the Manila Partial Landscape versions 2.0. Now that will be a lot of ROM's

Ok Mr Mogul, i appologize first off by not saying i am flashing the Cricket's rom, and that i can assure you i dont have viruses as i fix and build computers for a living, it was late and it was a quick post im sorry i wasnt 100% clear though. I let the phone do as you said to "do its thing" i didnt literally pick up the phone untill i noticed the screen dim after about 45mins of the flash, i connect to the internet using my 10digit number/cricket password and it connected everything works great, i would add google maps into the "Programs" icons, i clicked on it after adding others and said it needed to install google maps mobile? I tried to turn off the phone by holding the power button and then clicking on "ok" to turn off device, it turned off i waited 2mins and then turned back on, it "posted" as i call it but didnt go anywhere after the HTC Windows screen. I tried for hours and still nothing, i finally did a hard reset and "wiped clean" and when it restarted it started and said "it needs to run customization." I let it do its thing but after restarting it did the same thing (this was all automatic not done by me), i re-flashed with your light rom had no problems what so ever however i didnt have Manila 2D so i went back to your Heavy Rom (all roms are the cricket's rom). I have double checked all my settings and the thing is like i said it works but after restarting would go straight into the customization. I have since flashed to stock sprint rom > upgraded radio to 3.42.02 from 3.35.04(im not 100% sure of the last 2 numbers) > flashed your heavy rom > using prl 01015 (evdo prl) and it seems that things are in order and seem to be working as of now, google maps now only takes 1.5mins to find gps on my mogul!! I just wanted it to be known and see if you have any idea on what was going on, i am new at doing this but i have read a lot and learned everything just from reading guides so if something i have said isnt right please correct me, you are the teacher here im just another cricket customer trying to enjoy this GREAT ROM! thank you for your time!
oh also opera mini 4.2 is the best mobile browser :D i was using 4.1 on vetvitos black pill and thought it was good but there is a speed difference in connection and loading of web pages!! :D

Thank you sosi, I am glad you like the ROM. What probably happened is you have some nasty things in your EXT ROM that are ran during auto customizations on the Heavy Version of my Version 1 ROMS. When you flashed a Stock Sprint ROM on there (from my share site) it overwrites the EXT ROM with its cabs and config.txts which dont contain anything that would hurt you as bad as your old EXT ROM. I wiped my EXT ROM and usually instruct people to do the same. Use a higher version DCD ROM (exe version not .nbh) That will make it so EXT ROM doesnt even exist unless you would happen to flash a Stock ROM back on there. Or you can use NueEXT ROM driver and Control Panel to unlock your EXT ROM then you can delete the contents yourself.

Messaging Program/Menu/Tools/Options/Signatures, Check the box use signature with this account, also check use when replying or forwarding and then enter in your Sig. Click ok. Done. No way of using a picture as a sig, at least not with the arcsoft that I use.
The Cabs you have to locate yourself, the data connection staying active is a setting somewhere in the programs you use.

Yes I am going to make a new thread for the 6.5 ROMs I will include as much tech info as I can plus screenshots. Hopefully everyone will take screenshots of different apps and programs. Also of what the home screen looks like etc.. Then send them to me or post them on the Forum. I am not taking the time to flash every single ROM to take pictures of. Enjoy

So far things I've noticed there are issues with:
(1) the Audio Gateway button does not launch anything
(2) the Titanium Radar launches, but I get the popup saying "Unable to download file. The server might be experiencing difficulties or URL may be invalid." I tried several times to launch this program over several hours, but the same message appears.
Things I installed:
(1) V3 of neuFlashlight
(2) Total Commander (alt file explorer)
(3) TomTom Navigator 6 (maps on memory card though)
Question: I was trying to figure out the panes/panels thing, but can't. How do I create a pane/panel that can quick launch programs of my choosing?
Great job so far BTW!! I consider these very minor issues.

First off... You've done and AMAZING job with this! Seriously this is the best ROM I've ever seen...
I loved the 2.2 Heavy look... sadly it reboots within 5 seconds every time I start it up on my Alltel phone.... :\ (I think it may be RAM limitation maybe?) anyway...
I'm installing the 1.1 Heavy ROM right now and am going to see how that works...
Thanks so much for the work you've put in on this.... it is truly great...

The audio gateway is meant to channel the audio from phone to BT. You have to have a bluetooth paired with the device and then play audio using WMP or audio manager. Then press the audio gateway I believe. I dont have bluetooth so I dont know how to work it.
The Radar thing I never tried, I just assumed it worked since the Weather does. Radar is part of the 4.2 titanium weather and I am the first to OEM it so.. It may work on high speed connections or there is something I missed. You can try installing the titanium 4.2 weather with radar and see if it fixes it. But I doubt it. Radar is staying as the Titanium 4.2 is better than the other versions.
I used to have Nuelight3 cooked into the ROM's and it was stalling out causing the light to stay on. I had already mentioned that and thats why I cooked in VJcandela. File explorer is fine, and so far no regeditors work right with 6.5. PHM works close to perfect just double tap on each key to view values. I use newest Garmin Mobile XT with Newest 2009 North America Full maps. So whats the point of mentioning that? I can not cook that in. I already tried total commander and like I said I dont care for it.
The panel you make with Chomeconfig. Play with some options, search for titanium, and most importantly read.

Thank you for the Compliments. Look though, everyone needs to realize that when you Flash another ROM with a different page pool you have to Hard Reset then Pull battery for a minute or two or so. For the 6.5 ROMs its a good idea to run in High Memory mode. No camera
My 6.1 ROMs = Page Pool 6
My 6.5 ROMs = Page Pool 4
That means when you switch between the two ROM's you need to Hard Reset and Battery pull for awhile. Then boot up. Easy.
I follow this rule of thumb. When I flash another ROM I Hard Reset and Pull battery before ever booting up. I never have any problems. It seems like the only people that have problems are ones that think the phone is just a chalk board and they can write anything they want on it. Well it needs set up properly to accept custom ROMs and it needs taken care of every flash. You have to know a little about PPC's before messing around. There is no such thing as a "Flashing a Windows Mobile PPC for dummies book". All that information needs experienced first hand and some to get you started can be read and absorbed by searching the Forum. I have never had a problem because I flashed my phone from Stock to Custom in proper order. Requiring more than 2 steps. I also know to pull battery for the page pool. Point is you need to brush up a little bit and once that is settled you will never have a problem with ROMs again. I know there are bad chefs out there but I have been using mine for 5 months and have not had anything too crazy happen. Like Microsoft doesnt have bugs here and there? Nothing bad though. Nothing like what some people (usually new members) have experienced.

Okay I'm doing that now... I knew to do that too... just forgot for some reason lol... :s. I've done some messing around with my Mogul but not tons... I kinda stopped using custom ROMs and stuff for the past few months because I've gotten like 3 bad Moguls in a row, and I was just sick of putting work into them and going in a month later to have it replaced... Hopefully the trend has changed...
Thanks for the gracious help and quick reply!
And thanks again for making such great ROMs!

Here's a dumb question:
Are the 2.2 Sprint ROM versions utilizing EVDO rev. A? I ask because that switch option is no longer showing in EPST like they were before, and surfing the web seems to take a little bit longer than with your 1.1 version.

This person is talking about my New WM 6.5 ROM's that I only Cooked for Cricket to start with.
I wanted to see if you can get this rom for my Carrier Verizon to use it on my Mongul (XV6800) please

Hey man, just wanted to say thanks and great job on the roms. I have the cricket flashed WM6.5 Heavy (I do believe). I did a hard reset and rebooted and it worked agian. How can I get a Messaging option on the Home screen?

Just maybe your instructions were used while helping a fellow xda member who needed some help. That others were not willing to help.
I said there was no need to install carrier cab.( that was included )
I even supplied a link to this thread so that maybe you could possibly get a donation if he liked it.( or even help him with some issues since you are with cricket)
There will always be new people wanting to do more with their phone.
This is a great attitude.
I thought this was a forum for helping other.( maybe I was wrong )
Title of the above quote read "Whats with the attitude?"
My attitude is fine. read his post... it is totally incomplete. how am i supposed to help if his sentences are missing important info? i am not asking what the question is.. post it right the first time. about helping people.. i help plenty of people both new and current members. i just get upset when someone asks stupid q's that are already answered if they would read. mind ur own business I HELP PLENTY OF PEOPLE, but i can only help those willing to pay attention and listen. not skip steps because they assume they already know.

Dude you obviously dont pay attention because what you are talking about in BOLD is in a COMPLETELY DIFFERENT THREAD!! I mentioned to you in a PRIVATE MESSAGE to go over my PST settings thread and make sure you are set up right. So how does that mean to post in this thread about it?
DUDE YOU HAVE TO READ, TO ACCESS PST OR QPST YOU NEED TO KNOW YOUR SPC CODE!! IT SAYS THAT THROUGHOUT THE WINDOWS MOBILE AND QUALCOMM WORLD IT IS A KNOWN FACT.
IT SAYS IN THE BEGINNING OF MY PST THREAD MAKE SURE YOUR SPC CODE IS ALL ZEROS (THAT IS FOR OTA PROGRAMMING THROUGH *228) BUT OF COURSE YOU HAVE TO KNOW THE CODE. IT IS NOT ALWAYS 6 ZEROS BY STOCK VERIZON IS THE ONLY ONE TO KEEP THEIR VX'S UNLOCKED.
YOU NEED TO KNOW YOUR SPC CODE TO ACCESS PST or QPST.
YOU NEED TO HAVE YOUR SPC CODE SET TO ALL 0'S TO USE *228 (CAN ALSO BE ALL 3'S *JUST FOR THE BANTERER'S)

Hey Ryan!
Great work BTW. I like the Metro Splash on the first bootup. Anyways...just wanted to see if could help a bit. This has happened to a couple others that I have helped recently as well. Picture messaging is not working.
I went through the registry to make sure I added the phone numbers and put the 1 before the MIN portion also, using the MDN number.
I have done this several times before, but recently it just has not worked. It will download picture, but then the hightlighted download when you open text message is not highlighted so it wont let you move forward. Is there something new I am missing.
Anyone else having this issue for Metro?
I tried to find your file, so I could delete it and then install Arcsoft again just in case from scratch, but couldn't find it. How can I find it to delete it?
Thanks.

Your issue sounds like you went into messaging app, clicked menu, went to mms options, clicked servers tab, and looked in the Metro MMS server.. Well when you do that the arcsoft Bug kicks in that every arcsoft has BTW, it changes the Wap type from 2.0 to 1.2. It needs to be on 2.0. The only way to fix it is going into registry and navigating to this key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Arcsoft\ArcSoft MMS UA\Config\mm1\MMSCSetting\MetroPCS MMS, make sure WAP type is set to 1. Then soft reset. That will set the type back to 2.0 in Arcsofts options. If you ever go into those server options again just remember to cancel out, dont click the x and dont click done.

Hey Ryan your the bomb!! In a lot of threads that I have read I have never seen that work around or issue. That did exactly the trick. I only went into the servers tab to make sure you put the right info. (not that I didn't trust you, but always good to double check everything).
Good sh*t!!! Quick reponses... You'll see a small donation, not much for your time but something.....
Everyone should.....

Well no problem. I am glad it did the trick. Make sure to pass on to the other users who had the same problem the fix. Reprimand them and tell them not to go in the server options lol. I appreciate the comment on the donations. Here is the appreciation scale so far out of about 1000 ROM users and 100 of other extensive help that I have given, 20/1100. Times are tough and I totally understand, and information is free on the Internet its my fault for posting it, but if you realize how difficult the work is thats when people consider donating. Thanks though, I really appreciate you gittin er dun right and paying attention.

Just wanted to say that I DID do all the steps right. It is a driver issue, not anything I did wrong. Like I said, once I get it activated I will make a small donation for the rom (I will do what I can). I just dont understand why you had to act like that because I did LISTEN and PAY ATTENTION to your steps, its a driver issue on my pc, because I had to get a SPC snatcher to get it. After I resolve that issue I should be good to go with the instructions from the PST settings thread. I do appreciate the rom and walkthrough, thank you and God bless.

The reason is you cannot distinguish between 2 different threads and Private Messages. Also when you post you are incomplete.. You very first post EVER in my thread started out like this "I was told by mattsm that it already had that included in the flash." HAD WHAT INCLUDED? Know what I mean how am I supposed to decipher that without having to ask you to clarify? Anyways PST settings and a Carriers Data Connection are 2 different things as well!! Besides I told you that in a Private Message after flashing your ROM double check your PST settings with my PST thread. So if you had a follow up question you should of posted in there (being complete of course) or sent back a Private Message.
About the SPC code there is a link to instructions, drivers, and everything you need right in the top of my PST settings thread.
If you want a detailed answer that helps you out then you have to ask a detailed question that helps me out..Otherwise its useless, I will just end up upset about cluttering up my thread with evidence of helping someone through "baby steps"

So far things I've noticed there are issues with:
(2) the Titanium Radar launches, but I get the popup saying "Unable to download file. The server might be experiencing difficulties or URL may be invalid." I tried several times to launch this program over several hours, but the same message appears.

Im getting the same error, anyone help ? Im using Verizon Heavy ROM with nothing installed.

Hint. search for titanium radar. you have to manually add url's. So there actually is nothing wrong with the radar. Just look it up you will get it.

Ryan,
I am trying to download your RMsprintTitanWM7V2.2Heavy.zip ROM and I keep loosing the connection to 4shared. 4shared doesn't support resume so I have to start all over again. Any chance you can upload here?
Or maybe it is just a bad time to download, holiday weekend and all.

Yea I dont know. Are you using wi-fi to download the ROM? That may be why you cant finish the 4shared download. I cannot upload it to here lol they will not accept such a large file size. Keep trying you are the first to complain about not being able to download the ROM. You will get it.

Hey Ryan,
I too am having issues with GPS since upgrading to wm 6.5 roms. I was previously running the stock mr1 rom with the 3.37 (I think) radio. I was able to get gps to work with the valhalla fix and everything. When I upgraded to the wm 6.5 roms I first did a direct upgrade. Then I read your previous post about downgrading to the stock nongps vzw rom then upgrading from there. Well I have gone through that process twice now and still nothing. Google Maps gets nothing after several minutes and I have run GPS viewer, which sees the GPS and will run, but will never get a sat lock.
I am running your WM7 skinned 6.5 ROM Heavy with the 3.42.50 radio. I know you mentioned something about the PRI as being the underlying issue with the GPS. When I rolled back, the PRI read 1.30 or something. Now it reads 2.03_002. The only thing I did that was not written in you directions was doing the OTA programing. I did the *228 programing after I flashed to the wm6.5 rom. Is this why the GPS continues not to work? TIA for any help. Your rom rocks BTW.

What does your ERI version say? Did you use the stock verizon ROM and RUU that I provided? How about the GPS one settings in QPST did you go through them and uncheck all the boxes then re-check them. Stay in that tab and write to phone?
Do not install any kind of vahalla fix or anything when following my instructions. Just follow it step by step, I have received 4 donations because of that verizon gps fix post and I have done it to 2 XV's myself that GPS wasnt working before and works like a charm after.

OK, I have gone through again, following your directions exactly again. I used your stock verizon ROM and RUU, I unchecked and checked the gps settings in QPST. The ERI version says 4. What could I be missing?

LMAO, not more than 2 minutes after I made that post, I walk outside to test again and bam, 5 locks. There are a couple of things I want to ask about your rom. First is, since using your verizon rom and ruu and going thru your steps to get this gps working, I now have found an additional 4 mb of RAM at boot. I also did not have to do OTA programming. Everything seems to work fine and the QPST settings looked fine as well. I didn't change anything except the GPSone tab. I also seem to be missing an app when I go to the start menu now. I am still running WM7 heavy, but there is 1 less app. I cannot figure out for the life of me what is missing though. Any thoughts on this?
These are not complaints btw, I am just curious on why the ROM is different, but works great so far.
Thanks again for your help.

Sweet, actually it looks like there is an extra app there, not less. I dunno what is added, but I really don't care at this point. Are we able to update the google maps app that is preinstalled? I did a search here, but was not able to find anything. I have been reluctant to try because I don't want to mess anything up.

Thanks for all your hard work. I had a question about the 6.5 ROM your using. Which is it? I have been using build 21501 i believe it is, but reading that 21234 is the newest (maybe a 21236 even) and it much better and faster then 21501 and would love to use that instead but i want to use your since the carrier stuff is already done as well as LOVE that M2D is cooked in with yours as well as all the other stuff and tweaks you've done.
Thanks in advance for your response. I couldn't find my answer in the 1st post, and read the 1st 5 pages and the last 4.

21501 that i edited out the kinks. my 6.5 roms do not use m2d. please do not ask me to use another build and consider your questions answered.

yup. Thanks :) Sorry for asking about the M2D, i see a bunch of M2D stuff added but didn't see it after flashing, nor m2d config anywhere. I was trying it on the 2.2 Heavy version.

I loaded Slide 2 Unlock and wondered if there is a setting for the Titanium weather to show?

go to the s2u2 setting scroll to the weather portion and choose the user weather it worked speraticly for me. I tried the s2 unlock and don't like it it stalls my phone and refuses to answer my incoming calls.
On another note:
Ryan you make great ROM's and I have been honored to use your work, please keep up all the good work.
Thanks

Hey Ryan have the Metro PCS setup and noticed that the voicemail indicator doesn't show up when someone leaves me a message. Also on the home screen sometimes the calendar jumps to the top of the screen. Any suggestions?
Is there a cab for the DC themes...its alll empty in there, only themes is in the today screen built in...
Does that cab you have in page one fix this? I guess I'll try that...

tosh1, I am guessing you are using Version 2.0 right? Might want to post that next time.. Voicemail indicator works fine using both Touch Flo (Manila 2D) and Normal Today mode. With Normal Today screen its a plug in and it also shows up in taskbar. In Touch Flo it only shows up in taskbar.
I did finally notice the missed call/calendar in portrait mode using (only my version 2.0 Touch Flo) seems to mess up and mix with the top of screen. Just acknowledge the missed call then open to landscape mode and close to portrait and it goes away. That has to do with homesettings.xml file and I am working on it. You will not have to reflash to get more themes or correct the jumbled missed call/calendar thing.
Onto your themes question.. For Version 2.0 its a modified landscape theme, its the only one for now (theme).. Every single bmp, and png, in the entire theme needed edited to another size then reprogrammed in the homesettings.xml file. Thats why there is only one theme. I have Version 2.0 on my phone right now and have been working on other themes.
Edit: Here is a link to my post from about 2 weeks ago when I released the 2.0 version. (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=3738275&postcount=168)
The DC?? themes.. Wut? lol you mean you cant see any extra themes in M2DC (Manila 2D Customizer) Well that is explained above ^ Also Touch Flo is not Today screen...
No, that cab in page 1 is not for these problems, that is a manila 2d landscape fix that closes touch flo and another today screen opens when switching to landscape. I found out it drains battery so I do not use it.
Hope I have answered your q's tosh1. I post like this because lots of other people are going to read this and I want them to be able to understand. Everyones different so being detailed and using bold's, underlines, etc.. It is all for a reason..
*this is not for you unless it really does apply* What I really wish people would do.. I wish people would take some of their time to get screenshots of my versions and post them. Quit being so "bashful". Help out me for a change instead of trolling around here for help..

No problem glad you like it.
For users of my Version 2.0 here is a CAB I made that fixes the original M2D theme and installs another one that I edited for partial landscape. You will be able to preview the 2 themes and switch between them using M2DC.
THIS CAB IS FOR MY VERSION 2.0 ROM ONLY, YOU WANT TO CHANGE THEMES AT LEAST ONCE AFTER INSTALLING TO OVERWRITE THE HOMESETTINGS.XML
Here is a link to the CAB download. (http://www.4shared.com/file/108821327/704a0524/20_Themes_V1.html)

Thank you, I am glad you like the ROM. About a Carrier-Free ROM I will not make one of those because of the wave of help questions that will follow it. Ex: "I am on bell how do I set up internet on this ROM" , "MMS is not working how do I get it to work".. etc... I only cook ROM's with working WAP/MMS nothing else.. That way everyone is happy. I do all the work for you and ensure that its correct.
What we can do since I have already searched for Reliance and stumbled upon the RIM forum. I see that a lot of users would benefit from me creating a Reliance ROM for the Mogul. I am not a member so I do not have access to the files but I need to know the Data Connection information. I also would like to know the MMS server settings. If you get me as much info as possible I will create each of my ROM's for Reliance and post them on that forum. Help me help you. I am also able to bypass the tethering detection so you Reliance users dont get charged for it. I didnt do that for my Sprint or Verizon versions because its illegal in this country. I let the users find out and bypass it on their own if they wish.. Let me know VIA Private Messaging and we will get started on cooking Reliance for the Mogul.

Hey Ryan, me again. This isn't a request but simply a question. Since the release of MB6.5 build 21728 has been out, are you considering making new releases with that instead? I've read numerous posts about it being much more optimized and faster, as well as a number of bug fixes since then. It's just thought at least. Don't harp, it's just a question i wanted to ask, no biggie if not. I have been using your lite current version 6.5, and love it!!! Although i did install the latest M2D still since i just love it and can't seem to like the 6.5 home menu, call me nutz i guess. :)

MB6.5 build 21728? You mean Microsoft 6.5 Build 21728? I am not considering making any new releases as my ROM's work fine as they are. Reading is a lot different than experiencing because a lot of people are fooled by the placebo effect. Yea using M2D on 6.5 is pretty nuts lol. No its fine as long as you have some RAM left over.
Now dont get me wrong, when it comes time to update the ROM's because of new software, fixes, etc.. I will consider using an updated 6.5 build. But just remember this.. "A build is like a foundation of a structure, once you find a strong one you leave it alone and build on top of it" Now there are cases where there is an extremely better build than another but from 21501 to the new builds I sincerely doubt a lot has changed.. If anyone thinks so, it is simply all the placebo effect.
