Battery problems

I haven't used my himalaya for a while. When i saw there was wm 6.5 available, i grabbed my himalaya. In wm 6.1 my phone said that the battery was empty. So it's been in the dock for a whole night, but it was still empty.

I was a little bit hasty to see wm 6.5, so i flashed it anyway. Now in 6.5 my battery is not recognised. (It says Main battery: Unknown). The battery is a half year old. Does somebody know what might have happened or how i can recharge my battery again?

I allready pulled it out and plugged it in again, but it didn't help. Same as a hard and a soft reset.

Any advise is welcome.

i think what you need to do is to get your battery off your himalaya and have it shocked using a tester or some ac/dc adapter. your battery is dead and for it to be alive again it needs a little burst of energy. i hope it helps...

If you leave lithium ion batteries discharged for a long time they ususally die out and will be unusable. Buy a new battery.

:confused: sorry, i'v got confused, hence, this clarification..

did you mean you were able to use your old batt to run your BA while in 6.1 though its empty and, thereafter, while still empty, you flashed your BA with 6.5? or it is not totally empty at all when you did it?

otherwise stated, could it be the battery indicator *whether empty/unknown" that you wanted to resolve? .. regards :)
