Cloudy you might wanna try this fuze audio wave driver :#337:- http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=412065&page=34 which is suppose to prevents lag in sound during music playback and also it cannot be install by us but by a ROM cooker which have to be put in the ROM ,it will be nice if you can include it in your next ROM updates:),just to try if it works and solve the infamous sound lag in audio playback in almost all HTC fone

i can't help it... it's leaking memory as well :( what i mean to say is that... i've kept it running for a while... used a few apps like opera, IE, a few games... haven't installed anything as yet...

and the memory now stands at 80% used... and there's nothing running in the background either :/

not saying that other roms are better - almost all the ones i've tried have the same prob...

BUT - it's better than a lot of them out there :)

Nice Rom, fast and clean, just unfortunate that push mail with exchange does not work properly. I seem to have that allot with custom roms, ASync log file stops on "KeepAwake off"

I couldnt find anything than a regular file explorer that come with windows mobile 6.1.

one more suggestion if i may... if you could remove the phonecanvas, incallrecorder, etc. and provide them as separate cabs... might be something better.

All comes down to the chef's preferences my friend. I'm sure he added them as he wanted a complete 6.1 ROM.

Maybe you'll prefer a clean or LITE ROM better.

For me commanager isnt working too. But otherwise it is really nice rom. So I am waiting for fix:)

yup - besides the comm manager - all is perfecto...

btw... i tried changing the comm manager, but no use... still doesn't work... the entire cell just gets highlighted green, but doesn't turn off/on... and it stays highlighted green

still trying to find more problems - but i just cant! :)

You can dump but can't repackage and put it in another kitchen (I use bepe PlatformRebuilder)

The one u're using in my ROM is File Explorer Extension, not the default one :P

Clean ROM is a good idea, but it's not this time. Maybe I'll create one in next release!

you da man cloudyfa! working perfectly... and specially like the part where you tap on the left side to get properties and on the right side to switch on/off

ps. for other ppl - installed it on the device. no reset required


EDIT: ok... maybe i got overexcited :) all is working good... but the comm manager doesn't exit when Exit is tapped... it hides the window... is active in task manager... maybe another hotfix :D

One question, have you verified whether you can sync with WMDC? I have this problem since I installed the arrowless version of the TP2 keyboard so I guess this ROM should have the same problem. Would be nice if someone can confirm this.

Didn't notice the option at the bottom of the menu found dutring call. Wonder if there is anyway though to get the other person's voice recorded lauder?

i played songs for about 15 minutes - didn't get a lag, so probably its resolved - but test yourself.

comm manager working perfect... what i did was install cloudy's ROM, perform a hard reset, restore contacts, perform soft reset, installed the cab - and no reset after that... and i'ts working fine - try to do a hard reset and then install the cab...

Yes, is Windows Mobile Device Center, the active sync for Vista. I know that it works with the old AS 4.5 as I've this in my work's pc, but with Vista at home it's unable to sync :(

with the music lag gone i thought everything was perfect until just now i found out that when i use the opera browser each that it connect or select a text it vibrates a little which is a big concern for me as the battery will be drawn twice as fast if it vibrates each time i change the page in the opera browser given the small capacity of the diamond.i have tried in sound(vibration) setting to turn it off but it isn't turn on so right now i don't know how to turn it off,any advice will be appreciated :)

set this to 0 and soft reset

i haven't tried this, but this should work :)

Hi!

I dont know if it's gonna help you, but you may have a look in the Opera settings...

When you ho to the adressbar and type in: 'about:config' (without the commas) it will bring you to a more advanced options screen for Opera and maybe there, there you can find your solution for the vibration...

Yes, I'm having this sync issue with another ROM, but I believe that the root cause is the TP2 keyboard without arrows, so this ROM could also suffer the same problem. I'm just asking for someone else to try to sync their phones with Vista and report whether it works or not.

my friend... the problem is NOT with the ROM, but something to do with the TP2 keyboard... unfortunately i don't have Vista to check this... but i do read a lot on the forums to know it's something to do with the ROM... just thought that might help him out...

I have vista and this ROM works fine and doesn't give a problem in syncing with WMDC and the keyboard problem is not there,i use to have that problem when i was using UDK r2 ROM where the keyboard zoom and sometimes whole program and start menu use to vanish

If it doesn't work for you, maybe it's running in background when you apply the fix, try to exit CommManager completely or just simply do a soft reset!

This keyboard takes too much time for me to resized pictures and remove arrows (to fit our VGA device) so I only work with WWE, maybe I'll finish the rest but I can't promise you anything!

I don't know which version you use, but I can sync perfectly with WMDC in Windows 7. Maybe you can give it a try.

i was one of the person who said that... i tried a flash again... and did a hard reset twice before doing anything else... since then, i've noticed it's at par or a little better than the other ROMs ive tried... 2 days without any reset and at 69% used... so thats normal :)

I was looking to try this very promising rom but I read this and I was quite astonished.

the stocks/shares tab is on HD ROMs, so if you need that - i suggest installing one of the HD ported ROMs... there are a few cabs available - you could search them... but none have worked for me... so for now, i'm living without it and i'm happy :)

I'm still unfortunately having memory leak issues after re flashing, then doing 3 hard resets. I use CleanRAM on the most aggressive setting. i really want to use this ROM too, but when the ram usage peaks to 92% with just opera or iris opened, then drops back down to 78% ram used; that's just not a good thing. i can't believe i'm the only one that is still seeing this issue.

the Calendar thing is a known thing... it is with a few other ones using Rhodium/Topaz like udK's ROM as well...

the comm manager fix is in post 2... applying that and soft-reset corrects the problem...

the memory leak is almost the same as the other ones out there... suggestion is to use CleamROM - however i'm running it for 3 - 4 days now without reset and it's staying at 70%

I've got 1 issue though. I've manage to get exchange email on activesync but I cannot get it to autosync. I only get emails if I manually sync. Cannot get any emails if I set it to download emails every 5, 10 or 15 minutes. Anyone else having the same issues?

Thank you for your ROM. I was amazed at its speed. It appears as fast as Nataly ROM (also a very good ROM).
I have installed a theme over it and installed some programs, all of which have worked quite well and fast.
May I suggest something for your consideration? A smaller keyboard would be better as current one hides too much of the screen, especially in SMS mode.
I think Nataly's 2.1 has the best no-frills and functional keyboard + T9.

If you don't want to calendar popup after soft-reset. Just remap soft key in --->Settings--->System--->SoftKey_manager by HTC mode. By default the left key is calendar. I remmaping soft keys with Advanced Config 3.3.

I did hard reset. But I have to say I had this problem with Udk syrius R2 ROM as well. I think one of my installed program may be interfering with the album. I dont know which..

i had installed this rom and the comm manager cab and I was restoring my PIM's and at one point the activesync connection with my laptop stopped connecting. I did get a message saying something about memory, I wish I wrote it down now, and I thought i would do a soft reset to clear things up. the phone got stuck on the very first screen ( black with the red numbers in bottom right corner, rom radio vers) and it stayed like that . it would just not bootup. I thought that maybe the battery was running low so I exchanged it for a full batt, but no success there. i plugged it into the charger and left it all night but this morning it was still stuck on the same screen. I thought that I was getting close to bricking the thing and I tried my old rom (wildberry) . thankfully it worked and i'm back running on my old rom. What on earth might have gone wrong?

great rom man, supremely quick. my experience has been that it works about 10-50% faster than what i had before.

would love to use it, but it continues to crash and wipe the ROM after about 30 min. I've tried installing the bare minimum, but it seems to crash fairly regularly... is there anything i can do to help?

Basically, I flash, run through the config, maybe input some settings, install a few cabs (>5) and eventually it will crash, restarting everything anew.

I'm amazed at the speed of the rom though, installs cab far faster than others, and the loading cursor actually animates smoothly. If i can help you out somehow, let me know.

EDIT: seems identical to mihaid's issue

EDIT2: Upgraded HardSPL to 1.93, and problem appears to have been resolved.

@ mihaid there are some ppl who have tried to flash cooked 2.03 roms after a direct 1.93 ROM... the workaround was to install STOCK 2.03 ROM and then install cooked 2.03 ROM... don't ask me why and how - i just observe and do... and btw, when i flashed the first cooked 2.03 i was getting strange issues (don't remember what they were) - but thats how i overcame them...

maybe just maybe... this might be it?

I agree with G sensor as well. I included Opera but it some times hesistant to tumble over. Also as I previously mentioned, issue with album. When I swipe across in landscape mode it chages orientation as in portrait although I am still holding the phone horizontally instead of moving on to the next image

Last night, i flashed it and installed only Klaxon (alarm). Still working this morning. Next I restored ONLY my contacts. Still working, at least for another 30 minutes. When I tried to pimbackup restore the rest of my data (messages, emails, appointments etc), it hung again (complete dead hang, no response from any buttons or screen touches, not even from the power button on top).

I reset it, it hangs at the boot screen (with the rom/radio info), so I reset again and then it will boot into windows customiser, with the stylus align and the date select and all that.

The settings i change are all inside the settings section of the phone, like task manager, text size, owner info, ringtones... no registry hacks or similar

i only restore contacts, rest i sync with outlook... so maybe it's some issue in the sync process for mail or msgs - but i stopped doing that a long time ago coz it always caused problems :)

yeah - i think some of the new packages used might have some memory leak... i think that'll ease out once the manila is complete ported... but if you try the new ROMs in the market nowadays... you'll see memory leak... someone suggested CleanRAM - i personally don't use it, but people say it actually works, you might want to give it a try

Well, I found out it actually works. The problem is that in menu the new Diamond2 SIP is called Full QWERTY - and that name I tried to set in HtcExtFun registry settings. But the SIP name is Touch Input and that name should be put in StylusInSipName registry key.

In landscape swiping does not change to next image, instead it changes orientation. And tha animation is not smooth. I had this problem with udk Syrius R2 as well. Any thoughts cloudy..?

yeah - i think some of the new packages used might have some memory leak... i think that'll ease out once the manila is complete ported... but if you try the new ROMs in the market nowadays... you'll see memory leak... someone suggested CleanRAM - i personally don't use it, but people say it actually works, you might want to give it a try

Well, I am using cleam ram. But when opera gives this message, if u used clean ram it closes opera completely. That means that you have start browsing from scratch again. If you do again after few pages you get the error!

heya cloudy, fixed my problem with the constant lockups and reformats... after extensive reading on the topic, i upgraded my SPL to 1.93 and haven't had any issues thus far.

Also, my album is misbehaving in the same manner as the others that have mentioned it: finger swipes change the orientation, and the phone seems to lose a sense of its orientation (swaps to potrait when landscaped, and vice-versa).

Excellent ROM though. Much appreciated.

EDIT: Phone hung after installing Point2Home yesterday, then hung on the splash screen after a reset. Had to hard reset again to get it working. I can live without it...

So the ROM worked flawlessly for about a day before the aforementioned installation of Point2Home.

im starting to feel like we're old friends cloudy...

phone hung on boot again... this time, i reset it myself, but before I did, i connected to the PC (Activesync style). I checked my program screen after disconnecting it and all the programs were showing the missing file icon... reset, then hang...

The stability has increased from about an hour between hangs to about a day...

This time, when i held the circular button and vol down to format, it displayed "serial" at the bottom (on the third colour) as well as the usual olinex text, but wouldn't proceed to the screen that gives you the options to format.

Still gonna keep at it though... this ROM is the fastest I've seen.

EDIT: Problems solved. Seems like I had installed a "bloated" ROM at some point, and since then my phone memory hasn't been allocated properly (or something like that). Fixed, like Cloudy said, by reflashing stock SPL and 2.03 ROM, then reflashing custom. Cheers.

it's normal, if you want to ajust the volume you have to press on volume keys.

I don't think the battery draining is due to the ROM but due to the Radio and apps running in the background-just a suggestion:p

I have tested Cloudy 1.0 and UDK Topaz R3 and found out that Cloudy 1.0 has memory leaks. I suggest that in the next version build 21038 should be used.

I tried to install a cab containing T9 for all kinds of languages, including danish which is the one I was going for. The cab, however, rendered the entire keyboard useless, besides comma, dot, number, question mark etc. This goes for every single keyboard that uses T9, or has the ability to.

Do you know of a newer cab with T9 for denmark that I can install instead, and that is confirmed working with your release?

Example: Suppose that I have written "book", then pressed the keyboard icon, the "k" letter is pressed automatically and "book" turns to "bookk". It is very annoying especially if the last key that I used was "delete" or "back space". It is same for both MSoft and TouchInput keyboards.
Programs that I installed: Total Commander, Task Manager 3.1, ClearTemp and NoData.

I found this thread thanks to "sibbor" the other day. It´s for EzInput 1.5 but it seams to work for 2.0. I downloaded the swedish languagepack and it works on udk R2 Rom. It´s only xt9, the keyboardlayout for åäö is not included.
