2 Side Voice Recording on Kaiser **WORKS**

Working perfectly on my HTC HD2 with nothing more than provided cab installed. Recordered audios are saved under \My documents\Notes as date_time.wav format. During active call just press options button and hit Recording... that's all.

I had this working on my last rom,,, Twisted/Accessing V1.1 but I have changed roms to "Just Works Rom" alltel stipped rom with 6.1 on it. I am going to stick with Just Works Rom because it, well,, just works.
However, this cab doesnt change the other end volume like it did on my previous rom. I would really like to get this working as my memory sucks and I love to record my calls. In fact, until recently I have copies of EVERY call that was received/made on my cell since 2006.

So, I am really missing this.

Any suggestions?

Hi,
I'm using this tweak, works fine for me. But I am facing a problem, when the screen switches off the recording too stops. I can use both (i.e Audio record from Notes and Voice Recorder for Pocket PC). Is there a way I can set the Voice recorder's files to be stored on storage card by default?

So far as I know, the native recording app cannot save to the card, at least I've not read of any successful registry hacks or other tricks to make that happen. Which is odd. If I open Voice Recorder and look in Options, I find that the only option is to choose between main memory and the storage card. Storage Card is selected... and yet when I record a call, the file is saved to \My Documents\Notes. Seems the recording function of the phone program is not tied to that selected option. So when I have recorded calls (before giving up because the phone just gets cranky and slow when it's recording calls) I've used Resco Audio Recorder, and it more or less works. I've mostly had too many problems with storage card file corruption when automated processes record files to the card in the background... so gave up recording calls, and similarly no longer run my email program (nPOPuk) from the card.

I need help!

After installing 2_Way_Plus_InCall_Recording.cab, my HTC Touch Cruise with WM 6 Professional has lost ALL my stored PHONE CONTACTS !!! :(

It's a big problem now for me.

Is there any possiblity to recover them?
I didn't make any copy before the instalation was done.

During instalation a message said that thr program was developed for earlier version and perhaps it may not work.
And... the program doesn't work.

Please, any suggestion, specially how to recover the contacts?

If i2 way recording doesnt work by installing the cab and soft resetting then its not compatable with your rom.

I havent tested it on the Hermes but I know it works on that phone as many people have reported it working fine.

Well I installed the 2nd cab as well which claims to have software bundled to handle the recording but I too see no option during a call to start recording. What other software do I need to install. Using Duty rom 6.1 on my kaiser. the 2 way recording is working but would be great to have a button in the call menu to start the recording.

EDIT: On 2nd look it doesn't have the recording software bundled but rather a menu item in the call screen to allow quick recording. I don't see that option when I install the 2nd cab.

I was able to use Vito and a quick button setting to start recording calls at the touch of a button during calls and with the provided reg hacks I get both sides. Thanks for the cab.

It seems to work best with custom roms. Theres not much you can do to make it work if it doesnt work on your rom the only thing you can do is try it on a custom one.

My dear Friends i am facing some problem using this application. some time i have conversation then 10 to 15 min in which i have to note down some values which i have to process later. So i have below problem
1. like the call duration is 10 min but the recorded time is less the 2-3 min. so most of the time i lost some important conversation.
2. some time when playing recording i can't hear the caller very clearly the vioce level is very low. (please suggest me best setting)

I made a simple cab from the registry settings that you install to device memory, then soft reset and use any voice recorder (HTC Voice Recorder, VITOAudio Notes, Resco Audio Recorder) to record both sides of the conversation. I have tried it with several Roms, dialers and skins too and it works fine with all these and no adverse affect on normal conversation :)

Might be worth cooking into a Rom to give 2 side recording as standard.

Tested and working on the following Roms:
SimpleOS Xtralite v2.1, HyperDragon 4th Feb, PDA Corner Ultimate v17, v19 & v20, Anryl's 15/3 6.S rom, AthineOS WWE, WM6.5 betas (HyperDragon and PDA Corner works with HTC Voice Recorder and VITO Audio Notes, rest confirmed with VITO Audio Notes).

EDIT: Made a new cab combining my 2 way recording plus the incall enable edit from pocketnow.com to enable BOTH sides to be recorded clearly from the dialer menu after a call has been established. It does not affect the ability to use a 3rd party app if you want, just gives you extra ease so you dont have to load any new programs up when you are in a call. Install the following cab to device memory, then once a call has been established just goto the dialer menu and select record. It will record in .wav format and save the recording to the Device\My Documents\Notes folder.

This patch does not work on all Roms. If you have a Stock Rom on your phone then more than likely it wont work as I think the patch needs something thats cooked into Custom Roms. If you have a Custom Rom on your phone already then have you rebooted your phone since installing the patch? If you have then try a different Rom.

I have no idea what would be causing your problems with resco the only thing I can sugest is to try a different voice recording app and see if that works better.

As I mentioned before the 2-way recording patch does not work very well with stock roms as they lack the required files that custom roms have. If you really need the 2-way recording featured then the only thing you can do is to try a custom rom, then apply the patch and test it to see if it works.

Unfortunately I havent used a tytn2 for 2 years so I dont know what current roms work with the patch.
